  1. I've noticed that too. It's kinda sad that they've gone from very helpful to almost ignoring players. A lot of people left WoW because they were sick of being left in the dark with legitimate question and even when you did get a response, they got a canned troll response(something like Soon TM) from the devs, instead of a proper answer. I will not give money to a company like that, neither will a lot of other people. How many more people have to leave before Bioware gets their act together again?
  2. Glad to see that we CE holders are finally getting something good added for us. We've been shafted a bit on that promised additional stuff added to our vendor for months. Cannot wait for our goodies however late they are.
  3. I think that may be exactly what they do, some of the servers anyways. The message on the origin servers changed again, it no longer says "you must move by the 30th or we will move you ourselves." The population may say light, but there is still a good amount of people playing on those who prefer light population for various reasons, and those who just didn't want to lose their names. I think BW's "bluff" was called on that move by the 30th message and when they saw little to no one was moving and with the population on the destination servers had gone down they pulled this card out to play. Sure they could move everyone who hadn't done so yet, and with people who had moved still leaving the game, they'd have another character name rampage from the people who didn't transfer on their own. I'd look for some, if not all the origin servers to be unlocked within the next month or two when the pay-to-win mode is live.
  4. No, I imagine you don't care because you likely didn't lose any names, or at least to a level one that is never ever logged in. Try reading my post again. I never said anything about a character being deleted lol. Only that the name be freed up if the account it is on is not in use after several months. Many MMO's have a system where if an account is inactive after a set time, be it six months or a year, the names on that account can be made available to someone who is still playing, if that name is requested. If it is not ever requested, the name stays with that character. You're attitude sorta reminds me of the current state of players from that other game... even they will free up character names on inactive accounts after six months. We can agree to disagree and leave it at that. Again, what I asked is not at all unreasonable. Any MMO worth their salt has this policy, and an obligation to keep customers happy as much as possible. Some demand huge changes, others ask for simple things. Every hear the phrase " The Customer is always right"? If customers are unhappy, they will go some where else. I'm waiting to see what happens later. Time will tell if they can clear up/fix something as simple as I'm asking or not. If not,Well there are other MMO's who at least tell you what is going to happen later with an issue. What we all want right now is an answer of what is to come. That's it, because BioWare right now is doing the worst thing they could, and that is not respond.
  5. This was going to be mine, but someone got the name Control just before I did in EGA, a possibly inactive IA has it on my server. and the legacy name was also taken. Jedi Guardian: Master Control Program. Cookies if you get the reference. Darth Bazinga Sheldor The Conqueror Lord Stranger Danger Darth JharJhar B'inx Agent Orangee Slurpee Darth Tigersblood Winning <Twisted Sithsters> <Sith Happens> <Your Companion> <Our Companions Out DPS You> <I Sithed My Pants> <My Schwartz Is Bent> <Sith Bunnies> <Most Impressive>
  6. I have to agree with this. They should leave a few of those light servers up. Any time, they could get a more subscribers. I have a few friends interesting in checking ToR out, but they're waiting till this transfer stuff is done before they join our community.
  7. You're missing the point. I'm not asking BioWare to reset someone elses name that is still playing. I'm asking for a name to become available that is on an account that is not subbed at all. That is not at all unreasonable. I've go onto the destination servers, several names are held by level 1's. I've gone back a few times to see if they've logged in and they're not. So someone who played for their free month but never bothered with that alt and then let their time run out, should get to keep that name for good even if they don't come back? I see your point and I agree to an extent, but I don't think what I'm asking for is unreasonable at all.
  8. People who have names on an inactive account shouldn't be able to keep the names, after a while anyways. If the player does not resub after a certain time frame (like how blizzard does it) the name should be able to become available to another player, they can then buy a name change.
  9. I've used them going all the way back to UO, so no, I do not feel like losing them to a level 1 that is never logged in on the only destination server I was given as an option. I've checked the others, also held by level 1's. I've asked BioWare if they could reset the name on the inactive character and received a mostly canned response.
  10. This is also my main concern. My names, as dumb as it may sound to others, are the most important part of the game. I've been using them for years as others have used theirs for years who do not want to lose them. I will unsub if I lose them. I don't want to, but it just wouldn't be the same or as fun without them.
  11. We may not get hosed (hopefully) If we do, I'm calling BioWare to hopefully get my names back, if not, it's unsub time for me.
  12. How about some rewards for staying with your "home" server? Not everyone "abandoned ship". Also those who stayed in order not to lose our names, or put up with wait times would also like the same rewards for those who moved, if possible:jawa_smile: That little pet sure is cute.
