  1. Everything OP says is correct. I play another mmo lets call it internet spaceships. When they go to do any big changes in the game they make a post that says "here's what we are thinking of doing give us your feedback". They also have a group of dedicated players that they fly out to meetings to discuss the game and the direction. Its so different from this pile of poops. Enter Musco: "We have some totally awesome cool stuff that's awesome and cool and we will announce when we will be making the announcement for the announcement. I don't know anything about the current state of the game but its really going to change everything for the best. Aren't you excited? I am. Kthx bai the stream isnt working and there is no sound and the constant lies I am forced to project have me seriously depressed" Enter Expansion: "Oh it's actually not new, we just had someone mess around in the spreadsheet and make everything your level. There is an hour or so of cutscenes with the same pack of 3 mobs with different names down a linear hallway for the entirety of your journey. Your decisions wont have any meaningful impact on anything, you will be farming companion gifts for a century and we created a new flashpoint that has 6 versions with absolutely no difference inside except some layout cosmetics. Probably the expansion of the year if you ask us." Enter Christmas: "We have an exciting december lined up but if anything goes wrong we are all on holidays and cant be arsed to fix anything so we will just do poor investigations and ban a bunch of people for unknown reasons only stating TOS every other sentance and will return in the spring and hope there are still people playing the game." You have just experienced my version of 4.0. I am excited my sub runs out in 4 days though! Almost didnt cancel in time.
  2. HAH You damn right I'm angry! So angry I might even rally the other 8 people who play on pot5! With the amount of time and money i've put into this game only to have Bio-ware kick me in the nards repeatedly (since just after strongholds), it finally brought me to the level of open, loud criticisms, for which I feel apologetic but what else can I do, I choose to keep playing until my guild stops and we all know how successful in game help tickets are (If you are having a great day and need to normalize I highly suggest opening a ticket to fix anything!). So My dear OP SHAMER are you actually trying to tell me you enjoy the current functionality of the Gree event? In case you missed the point there is no proportionality of effort. You need to grind psychotically to get a decent haul of items. With current prices i consider 2 to be a haul. I, like many others who have stockholme sydrome and continue to play and have maxed all reps (except the non GSF starfighter one (shudder)). Long story shorter, as a result instead of logging in to do the event people might not even log in. As you may begin to see from a broader view of things, people not excited to log in to play an event (or in general) is a bad thing. I didn't ask for easy access, as you may have read above no one even finds the event fun or worth doing at max rep, myself included. I can confirm only 1 of the 8 pot5 players enjoys the Gree Event (and all of BMF who make everyones life a living hell at that node lol) but he's never been quite right in the head. I don't really follow your last point, I was just making the post more interesting to read, much like what you and your thesaurus and dry? wit are trying to do.
  3. Fair enough point but unless its as often as the Bounty Hunters event the Gree event isn't going to make anyone happy after they get a weapon and legacy offhand to whore around on their account. Buying enough decorations for a Gree themed room or even the mount would consume so much time and require so much waiting it is demoralizing (for me at least). Its similar to the vendors on fleet that let you purchase the old armor sets for achievements. Their prices are so high they aren't going to be achievable by anyone but a small handful. That being said I guess thats what makes it an "achievement".
  4. As a lightning sorc who was at the bottom I don't see the issue here until everyone parses and puts up new numbers. I physically could not compete with classes like maras or snipers no matter how flawless i executed my tasks. If the overall spread of dps variance of all the classes is smaller then I don't see the issue here. HM ops (oldschool) are a breeze to get through and net the same gear as the harder more recent ops which is the issue they should be fixing. Aside: Healers definitely need a nerf in pvp though, their expertise healing boost should just get scaled back and then they wont have to worry about the pve implications. Sorcs should even take a hit in pve healing i can heal hm ops no problem in dps gear as a sorc healer. haha
  5. I don't always log-in to post, but when I do, Its to complain. New decorations with the Gree event- Great! Price of the new items - Absolutely Absurd. Lets imagine 2 kinds of people: The first kind is a Vet player with 20 alts who has nothing better to do all day but run Gree event quests, he is exceptionally charismatic and all his toons are well geared so he gets into a raid on demand no matter when he plays, on top of all that his server is so populated it there are always hm/sm ops available to him. ALWAYS (just like on prophecy of the five right!?....hello.... I know there are 10 other people on fleet I can see you... oh wait its just credit spammers and me.... damn) So lets say he does both ops hm and sm as well as the daily heroic (everyday on every toon) to get gray helix components 20toons x1x7days is 140 helix components plus another 60 from raid bosses. He will have a whopping 200 gray helix! Good job no real-life commitments Veteran, your non stop gameplay has really payed off this week!! Now we can imagine the 2nd person. Average geared, slightly overweight, balding but showers daily and is pleasant to talk to. He works a day job, has 1 maybe 2 characters on his account that can play the gree event, logs in for 1-3 hours every other night since that is when he is free to play, but he is down to spend almost all that time rocking the gree. Groups are around on his server but it does take time to fill the ranks (just like prophecy of the five, wait... its the 3rd day into the event and all 10 of the server population have already done the raid and no other groups seem to be forming for the raid.... well maybe Number 2 will get lucky). Lets see how he does! So he does the quests lets say 5 days a week and did em a few times on his alt, he manages a hm/sm ops on one character. he earns about 12 helix components. Not too shabby Number 2! Lets go cash in and get some goodies! Now to the meat of the post. If someone is playing the event and wants to get that 50 gray helix schematic... as average guy (assuming the gree event happens 2 times a year), he will only have to save up for what like 2 years! Or he can buy 3 decorations, maybe just 1 if he decides to go for the really nice one. Summation: Its more of a "why bother" event rather then a "oooh time to get some cool stuff" event as all the really good looking things cost an arm and a leg and some are unreachable except by the most psychotic of grinding personalities. -Dissatified User since SoR has disconnected-
  6. Yeah is is possible that regulator title is now in the pool of items for the enforcer pack? Or is this an oversight and they are as stated unobtainable?
  7. Since I am rather bored in game and my entire once active guild has quit, I have been spending a lot more time reading the forums on my other monitor and there are certainly some trends you begin to notice... Question 1: Why do you think the Swtor team never responds to or defends literally any of the criticism they receive? Every post (and I wish I was exaggerating) that has come out relating to kotfe is 90% negative feedback. None of this feedback is addressed and the only answers we get are to questions that we already have a good grasp on the answer. The thread descends into chaos and then veers off topic only to end up in the abyss after a week. There are a very few people (who certainly defy my feelings) that still hold the game in a positive regard. For me I feel its a matter of time before so many things are just scaled back, oversimplified, taken away or generally ignored before these defenders end up in the negative camp as well. Question 2: Why do you think there are no active feedback threads about planned changes so the community can leave input (good and bad) about the plans. It seems like they just decide they are doing something and just hope it turns out good. Thoughts anyone?
  8. There should be the top tier of augment and then the "low level augment" that fits everything else whose material requirements are just 10 of any mk-X lower then the top tier. Considering (especially with 12x xp) how fast they get outdated the current system is kind of silly. And yes if they stick with the current system paying for the difference between the lower and higher augment slot should be the way things go.
  9. I've watched for awhile now since I'm big into cartel collecting and there certainly isn't any obvious organization to which old pack they put out at which time. It has been the skip tracer packs as of recent forever. They should cycle the old packs to make everyone happier but it just doesn't seem to be a thing.
  10. So when the expansion is released and everyone finishes the new content in an evening, how many rage threads will we see?
  11. Post signed. Anyone here who plays another large MMO about internet spaceships knows what community interaction actually looks like. This was just a 10 minute circle jerk with bad audio and frozen screens. Todays Summary: Companions will come back. Any gear you put time and effort into making them stronger is obsolete. They will release the story in little chunks so that everyone won't finish it on a weekend and unsub for several months. They made costly cinematics instead of end game raid content. Everything that has been collecting dust on the shelf is a nono to even think of mentioning. They did a great job.
  12. Agree. What bothered me the most is "we don't want to punish players by taking things away." The fact they say they will try their best to fix problems is a sham. I paid money for CC's, bought packs and the stuff i didn't want i put on the GTN. I left the game for a few months (i went on a course) and the mails timed out in game and I lost all my items (btwn 100 and 200). This is an issue that customer service doesn't even acknowledge. I just can't even fathom what goes on in the back end there for "good ideas vs bad ideas"
  13. HK's vanguard on Po5. 1st place no reward. Sigh.
  14. Shadows of Revan was already the worst MMO expansion I have ever seen (our big group of core raiders in 16M lost interest pretty fast due to the broken raids and lack of timely fixes). But hey at least your cartel market items came out on time. The upcoming expansion give us the same crap we already did for conquest points but will take longer now because you took an hour to edit the stats on the bosses... I'm glad the story content is so important to brag about even though it should be standard for an expansion in any game and surprisingly other games give new content with patches not just per year expansions. Even if this is the most story ever given in an expansion in order to beat the last you need what... 10 hours of content max? Since this is clearly another rant post that will never be read I want to add your customer service is atrocious. I lost a large amount of cartel items and you simply say "We cannot fix that." You know what I wasn't able to log in and play swtor and open all my mails to get the items that conveniently for you get deleted after X time. In other games I play I get to talk to humans that don't copy and paste the same bull-crap every response and you may have guessed it, in those other games actually try to help instead of say nothing and do nothing but paste the same pre-crafted responses ad nauseum. I've already un-subbed a month ago over that incident and now its a matter of it running dry and complaining incessantly because that's the most rewarding I get out of your game right now.
  15. This is what you do. You open a ticket and submit a bug report. A few days later you get a reply that says "we got your bug report but this will not be replied to furthur. If you have any questions please open another ticket for help(something along those lines)" THEN you make your 2nd ticket about the same thing, which probably ends up at the same person. This person will say "Submit a bug report". Repeat until you give up. P.S. WHY THE HELL DO I HAVE TO RE-ENTER A 1 TIME CODE EVERY TIME I WANT TO POST SOMETHING BIOWARE? Even though I admittedly have purchased far too many cartel packs. It's obvious all the companies efforts almost entirely lies in making new cartel things for RL cash rather then new content in which to obtain them in game. /rant
