  1. I think alot of people are thinking this digital expansion will make something along the lines of what Cataclysm did to WoW which completely changed the landscape of the world. And while that may be possible here with Knights of the Fallen Empire, it's not looking like that sort of change otherwise it would have been advertised as such with clear examples not just sentences on a little text box, cause that sort of change is a massive one that can be used for marketing means. I think the actual game world of TOR will remain the same, like we will remain with Vaiken Spacedock and the Republic counter parts for fleets as well as all the planets blah blah blah, nothing would actually change and if im not mistaken they would play it out just like they did in Shadow of Revan, keeping it to flashpoints and stuff for just that, to ensure that the players can still play out the original layout of the galaxy TOR came with. That being the case, as an RPer this shouldn't be a concern cause you will still be able to play out in the original world and you don't have to conform your guild's story to the current TOR story. For all intents and purposes you can still play out in the pre KoTFE timeline since the world would look just like it would do before KoTFE. Not only that, I imagine they would give background stories and explanations of the Zakuul empire when KoTFE launches which will help you position your character and guild's story into the new timeline. One of the great things about Roleplaying is that you are in control of what you want to play out. You are not forced to jump timelines at any point in time, I for one have played out countless RPs at previous timelines in TOR for example before the Hutt Cartel incidents (vanilla TOR) and somewhere in between even when at that point in time TOR was going through Shadow of Revan. In the end, it's your story and you decide how to play it through, not Bioware.
  2. oh mah god im an idiot.... i meant to say I rped at the nar shadda cantina....
  3. Im okay with the class stories, its was more about all the stuff that had happened post the class stories.
  4. After such a long time I am finally back to the game thanks to a fixed computer. But so much has passed in the game story wise that im pretty lost of what's the current state of the galaxy right now. Anyone care to give me a general recap of what has happened and how my character being a member of the sith empire can adapt to such changes? I would love this recap since it will help me set up a base for my RP for when I finally play the game after im done patching. Thank you so much in advance.
  5. So I was one of the first to play TOR but due to a computer breakdown I was unable to play for almost 2 years. It happened somewhere around the rakghouls patch (yes VERY VERY LONG TIME AGO ) Anyways, I had alot of fun the little time I was able to play and I finally fixed my computer to play this game. But so much has happened with the expansion, cartel stuff that I don't know what to do. First thing's first, I wanted to get into the RP as soon as possible and wanted to know if the hotspots were still the same. I used to RP alot in the Coruscant cantina, is that still being used or did everyone moved to a new location? I skimmed through some threads and read something about Nar Shadda cantina but that activity moves between multiple cantinas around the game. So where should I head into? Also about the cartel items are they available through the GTN? I imagine they would have a high credit price. But I skimmed through the options and saw the Cassus Fett armor very appealing to me, how much would this cost me and how hard would it be for me to get? Thanks for the help guys and im glad to return to this server after SUCH a LONG time!! My character's name is Firebat if anyone even remotely remembers him. He is a chiss bounty hunter mercenary, but I played the role of an Imperial Trooper most of the time at the cantina.

    I love Huttball.

You must be a sorc..... /joke
  7. You know I expected this thread to be full of /agrees, guess the real pvp players stood up and made some noise, glad Im part of it /salute
  8. Man this guy just took a warhammer and smashed it at the Raiding Community. I have raided for 5 years in WoW and honestly this was an eyeopener. You could say I don't mind other people "farming" their gear. In the end, we will get it first and we got it the way it was meant to be obtained and when they get invited into raids, those who farmed the gear will be expected to know the fights and if not look like **** in front of their peers in their so called "raid gear".
  9. This, this attitude is why true PVP will never exist anymore on this game. Please 1.2, you are our only hope.
  10. Deserve? Cause you were a masochist for 2-3 weeks getting beat by those who were faster to you at farming gear? Cause you got beaten day after day after day, trying to push your skill only to get roflstomped by someone who just got luckier than you on the bag pulls? That's why you deserve to use what you have? Give me a break.... yes I reassure myself, half this forum would wipe the floor with you if they have the same gear as you. This attitude sickens me.
  11. Honestly I could give a rat's *** about PVP gear, and I don't mind if you don't believe me saying this. I mean... you don't know me IRL and I don't either, we never will but that's not the point. If they put rated locked gear in Rated warzones, they are doing the same mistake. Rated Warzones should give your team actual elite titles like the ones from WoW with Gladiator. Titles that can only be gained by being the top .05% of the entire battlegroup or the entire server. Rated Warzones should give special dyes or lightsaber crystals or moddable gear (with empty slots or with BM(whatever tier of PVP gear is available to everyone at the time is) mods.) that has some of the most widely accepted wicked looks in the entire game. Something that will set you apart from the rest of the server yet won't give you advantage over anyone. I can assure you, the true PVPers will and have always welcomed this. There is a reason why PVP games like Modern Warfare, BF3, Marvel vs Capcom, Street Fighter, and Starcraft are so popular. Cause their pvp is handled always in Equal ground.
  12. I will admit that maybe I wouldn't beat you in a warzone if we had equal gear. Im not afraid to be honest though. However, im sure many in these forums would wipe the floor with you had they been in BM gear just like yours. Just cause you were here since launch like me doesn't make you stronger than someone who just started 2 months in.
  13. I honestly frown upon those that say stuff like, I like being beaten by higher geared players so that I can do the same one day... ***? And then it's these same people who call themselves the kings of the hill in their servers. Bull crap. PVP honestly doesn't need and never needed Gear Progression. PVP, or at least true PVP has always been about skill, about the Player against the Player, not the Player's gear against the other Player's gear. If people wanted progression, then please go play PVE. That's where gear progression lies, in defeating great dungeon challenges to get gear rewards. I hear people saying "Why don't you go play MW3 or BF3?" Well cause I don't like shooter games, or at least I don't like TOR as a shooter game. BUT I SURE WELCOME MW3 and BF3's stance on everyone entering the battlefield with the same chance of winning! Honestly, stop, stop the butthurt, and accept the fact that PVP in TOR will now be more skill based than gear based and welcome the new influx of skilled PVPers that will go against you. If you honestly aren't prepared for that, you were never skilled in the first place, merely hiding behind your BM gear all along.
  14. This guy knows where it's at. Stop being butthurt about your grinds guys. PVP was always meant to be a equal grounds, skill game, not a gear game. Even in MMORPGs.
