not sure how many games you have played that have made the switch, but i have played four of them. each time people would say the same things. "It just means more people and more revenue" and all that jazz. it has yet to work out that way. they become pay to win games. even with a sub, you wind up needing to pay for upgrades to stay comepetitive in any way. the only people that do benefit from this are the true casuals.

in each of the games that i have played that went to the f2p hybrid model, the quality of updates to cosmetic items given to the paying customer dropped considerably. intstead of cool new weapons and outfits every couple of months, we got mediocre reskins. we could buy the new cooler things from the store, but that means they got our sub as well as anything we may buy. to try and mask this, they give us these coins they are gonna use for anythng in the store, but you can't get anything of value from the amount that is given. if they give us 500 a month, the new costume packs will cost 999 or 1000, or even 1500. you could wait and save oyur coins until you have enough, but by then they will have a new set out. this does not touch on the pay to win that inevitably rears its ugly head in the form of xp upgrades or power boosts. or even buying the most powerful gear and weapons. what really scares me is this: "While we are well above that today, that is not good enough," Mr. Gibeau said. Forty percent say they were turned off by the monthly subscription, and many indicate they would come back if we offered a free-to-play model." from: http://online.wsj.com/article/BT-CO-20120731-722093.html seriously? they are trying to tell us that %40 of the people who bought this game, knowing it was a pay to play model, left because they had to pay? what a load. what they said was, with the game in this bad of condition (not that i agree), they would expect it to be free to play. if it had met their expectaions (which may have been too high), they would have happily continued paying. it is not the same thing that they believe that this is the problem leads me to think they are not going to be giving the real problems a serious look. while i like playing, this is not something i am willing to do. once my sub is up, i won't be back.

you are the parental control. fthe game is rated t for a reason, if you don't feel that your daughter is ready for this content, you should not allow her to play.

as was pointed out over and over again in this thread http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=405921&highlight=color+crystals that is simply not true. there are no restrictions for color in the lore.

i remember reading how one guy would watch the scenes, but type the "hit spacebar!!!" in the chat. pretty funny.

i am one of those that loves to go back at a higher level and destroy the punks that made my leveling difficult. "look at me now, you bastich!! what are you gonna do?!? you're gonna die, punk, that's what!!!!" i find it fun and would be very disappointed if i wasn't able to do it. edit: i could see them adding a toggle, or pop-up, asking if you want to scale down.

i agree. color crystals fshould not have been given stats at all. it sucks when i "have" to give up my preferred color because the one i just got is so much better.

are you kidding? that crap happens all the time in mmos. i can't count the number of times i have asked people about a pet, or other in gmae item, and have them tell me it wa in the game however long ago, but no longer available. it happens, and i personally love it. if somebody got here after the white crystals were available, oh well. crap happens. they can look forward to the next items that will be llimited, and then they can tell a newbie how it is no longer available.

hey all, i am looking for a good, unofficial, site to go to for swtor. you know, a place to find out which gifts to give to my companion, coordinates for the eggs, and stuff like that. preferably one that is kept up to date. any help is appreciated.
