  2. I think it would be very cool if the outfit system which was instituted (which works really well (most of the time)) could also allow you to re-skin the weapon that you're wielding between outfits; obviously you could only use weapons you could wield normally in the outfit, but it would still be nice to not need to pull all the modifications out of a hilt every time you want to switch up what main-hand weapon skin you're using. This would be especially nice as the Cartel Market continues to expand and more and more cool looking weapons are added.
  3. There's a lot of skills that let you resist or avoid CC and that's probably what's happening. People can dodge or resist pommel strike, resist push and stasis, and hypothetically resist Awe, but people generally don't have their defensive CD's up at the same time as you would want to be popping Awe.
  4. Hey mate, welcome to The Harbinger. If you're totally focused on end-game PvP, you might have come to the wrong place, Harby pubs at 65 aren't that good. That being said, the sub-65 scene is really good, so if you're interested in that, check out red-blue-octagon.enjin.com. Cheers, Draz (Guardian - Harbinger)
  5. Defense Guardian totally is great in PVP! Firstly: Mitigation is crap in PVP, don't bother. Defense is made useless by DPS buying Accuracy, and Shield doesn't work on Crits. When gearing, you'll still want the tank armorings, but you should get the mods and enhancements that boost the greatest amount of Crit and Power, while still keeping Endurance. Same for Augments: Endurance and Crit/Power. Since the Guardian gets pretty great defensive cooldowns, stacking Endurance gives the best return for your money, while the Crit and Power both scale some of your defensive abilities, like the damage absorption shield on Blade Storm. The reason you get Crit is partially because Crit is just awesome, and also because when you're buffed with Warding Strike, your Guardian Slash delivers absolutely massive damage. Not playing a DPS, however, your capacity to actually end people is somewhat less than ideal, so you really have two roles: 1 - to harry the healer with enough damage to make them have to split their attention, and to simply refuse to go away in whatever fight you're in, through canny use of your defensive cooldowns. PVP Guardian tanking doesn't have a rotation as much as it has a reactionary priority list, like most tanks. When Riposte is up, use it, when Blade Storm is up, use it, when Warding Strike is up, use it, and when Guardian Slash is up, use it. You do have a great deal of CC to use, and you should use them, along with your interrupts to make sure that whatever you're hitting has the greatest amount of trouble possible trying to cast things. As far as guarding points, ironically, you're not actually the best for that. Post 61 Vanguard's have Shoulder Cannon, which they can use while stunned and Shadows have stealth and their mez, which is extremely useful for delaying a capture. Hope this helps.
  6. 1. Please tell us a little about yourself. Why do you want to be a part of the Czerka family? Why, profit of course. Czerka holds sway as one of, if not the most, affluent companies within the known galaxy, it would be a complete shame to pass up the opportunity to work for the company. Moreover, it is clear that Czerka Executives receive a rather pleasant bundle of benefits, including vacations to places such as Hutta, to engage in excellent activities like Evocii hunting. In regards to myself: I am a highly decorated Republic Privateer ( a position I held for the benefits alone) trusted with high level military secrets. I am also known as "The Voidhound" or, as I prefer "The Captain", a underworld queen who possesses the treasure of Nok Drayen, the Head of Rogun the Butcher, Command of the Voidwolf's pirate fleet, and, last but not least, in a testament to my combat ability, a pair of First Class Corellian Blood Stripes 2. At Czerka, we pride ourselves on our accomplishments. Please name three of your accomplishments that you are most proud of. (Please do not include family milestones such as marriages or the birth of your children.) Hmm, the three accomplishments that I am most proud of would likely be 1: Breaking the Imperial Siege of Corellia, 2: Securing Belsavis Prison against the Riots therein (showing my management skills), and 3: Taking control of (and holding on to) the extensive empire of the Voidwolf, a fleet that I could be convinced to allow to service Czerka Corporation's interest, for the right price 3. How did you go about achieving the accomplishments above. Would you say you would do "whatever it takes" for success? As to how I achieved the aforementioned accomplishments, I believe that aged maxim "Use a gun, if that don't work, use more gun' or, paraphrased "If at first you don't succeed, excessive force is probably the answer". However, my easily favorite version of that saying is "When confronted with any military problem requiring a costly or time consuming resolution, throw a Wookie at it...if that doesn't work, get more Wookies" I can easily say that I have never done anything less that "whatever it takes" to complete a job, even when "whatever it takes" involves something like mass murder. Although, that tends to be taken as a last resort, as it tends to be rather disruptive to negotiations. 4. Would you say you have a strong moral compass? Do you think this could get in the way of your job, should you be asked to do something...questionable? What is a moral compass? 5. You are about to enjoy our wide variety of complimentary cocktails and snacks, when you notice that your esteemed colleague's newest experiment is likely to break out of their confines while you are gone. How would you handle this situation? Take control of the experiment myself, removing my colleague if he (or she) attempts to protest. Furthermore, I would analyze the weaknesses in the confinement cell and make a note of it, claiming credit for the suggested changes (of course) once that is done and the situation is resolved, I would move swiftly to the complimentary cocktails and snacks so as to not miss out on the opportunity to enjoy Czerka Corp's fine cuisine.
  7. No no no no no Kitru, you can't go. What are we going to do for excellent tank advice on the forums? I grant you the developers are idiots, and I grant that you have a right to be pissed off, but at the same time, think about how far the game has actually come since release, and realize that, for the most part, even the terrible balance in SWTOR isn't near as bad as the balance in other big name MMO's like Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning... SWTOR has flaws, and some of them are doozies (shadow **** up, some of the animation changes, lolsmash) but there are good bits as well Anyway... If you are leaving, can we at least hope to still see you around the forums?
  8. I have all three tanks at 50 and hae another two guardian/warriors in tank spec in their way up, I love the class, something about it just keeps it interesting
  9. Easy fix for this is to attach the visa gift card to a paypal account, It should work perfectly after that
  10. Its coming out, I'm pretty sure its the high lvl trooper gear set, can't remember if its PVE or PVP tho, Sorry
  11. quadruple 4 gigs of ram? Is the game really that intensive on ram? ^hmmm, +10 Fps might make the game playable......I wish it was optimized better :S
  12. I dont know why this happens, or what i can do to resolve it, but even playing on resolution 1280 by 720 and with all the graphics settings on maximally low, my loading screens still take a really long time to resolve I have 3.66 ghz processor, 4gb of Ram, and a decent graphics card. What do i have to do to make my loading screens go faster
  13. I have a computer that is, while not a top notch gaming rig, not that bad 3.66 ghz processor 4 GB RAM Top notch NVIDIA graphics card (dont remember what its called) 144 MBPS internet connection Yet still, even with all the graphics on low or off, bloom off, grass and clutter at 0, I still encounter massive lag spikes, long loading times, and moments of abysmal frame rate. The game always says I have 4 bar connection and around 45 MS in the bottom right corner near the minimap so I'm wondering what's causing the lag. Has anyone else experienced anything similar? Is it a problem on SWTOR's end or with my computer (if the latter, what do you suggest fix wise). Its really frustrating P.S. I'm playing fullscreen, 1280 - 720p
  14. ^ true, but if bioware simply wanted to fix the ui before doing other things like that
  15. Warhammer online had a very comprehensive ui in my opinion. Abilities that you did not have the resource for were simply greyed out Abilities that you were out of range for but could cast had their hotbar number blood red Abilities on cooldowns were greyed out and had a grey cooling down icon that was similar to a square with watch hands representing however much was left over. When it was finally cooled down that ability would flash (not very brightly) once just to let you know and then was available. Global Cooldown was the same as ability cooldown except that it does not flash when off cooldown. That way, it was easy to tell what you could cast and what you could not. Plus, its not nearly as distracting
