I'm totally for a little wiggle room as far as weapons but i think it should stay in line with the idea behind each class, meaning sabers to saber users and guns to gun users. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- *For Guards/Juggs i see no problem with a double bladed saber, but i dont thing they should get dual wield just because that is iconic dps which is the innate role of the Sents/Maras. *For Sents/Maras i think one or two sabers is about all you can do with them because if you add double blades suddenly they have access to all sabers which takes away, in my opinion, they're identity as Sents/Maras. They're just backround NPC's at that stage, again, in my opinion. *For the entirety of the Consular and Inquisitor classes, i really don't think anything should be touched at all. I say this in regards to their story lines and the roles of Sages/Sorcs & Shads/Sins. *For Gunslingers and Mercs my thoughts are the same as Sents and Maras. *For Powertechs i can see blaster rifles but that's it. *For Snipers, i kninda feel the same as Cons/Inqs. *For Operatives i can see single pistols but that's it. *For Scoundrels, well with them i've never really understood the shotgun (not saying they wouldn't actually be handy when an enemy gets too close) but if anything i could see switching it for a knife or a special side arm pistol as opposed to a main(offhand) one like the Gunslingers and Mercs, but that's about it. *For Commandos i'd only go as far as the blaster rifle. *For Vanguards, that one's a little tricky. They are described in their little bio as ranged tanks and close-quarters damage. With that in mind, i feel w/ current weaponry they should stick to rifles. However, as close-quarters damage dealers, i feel that this would be where a shotgun would make sense. So if they made a new shotgun weapon for Vangs or let them use shotguns as offhand weaponry i think that would be a good idea. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- That's about all the wiggle room i could see on this issue though.

-------EDIT------- Yeah so, that entire rant was never meant to leave the preview stage as it was strictly me venting at the crappy situation i'm in as far as lack of being able to play due to not having the $100+ to spend on a Windows operating sytem for parallels on Mac but my douchebag sis decided to hit the post button while i was away from the computer. Something I'd like to see them do is have a Cartel Market Webpage on the website. This way if say you're pressed for time or can't log in due to maintenance or some other reason, you can still purchase what you want and for what characters you want. Am i wrong in thinking this would be really convenient?

I just want to chime in here after reading the first page. When I started playing back at release and even now, the way I understood the difference between the PvE and PvP servers was that PvP was for players experienced in playing against other players and not computer models, and that PvE was for people, like myself, who are not that experienced or simply aren't interested in playing against other players. Furthermore, there are still plenty of contested areas, like the Smuggler's Den on Tatooine, where novices can practice if they want to. Also, back on the whole interest remark above, some of us play strictly for the story and simply don't give a rat's ***** about everyone else who are also busy donig their own sh*t. Hell, I've only grouped for Heroics and Flashpoints maybe 15 times total over this whole year. I don't even touch Ops or Warzones. Now, I'm not writing this to say that I never want to do any of the PvP stuff, I do because again you're playing against aanother player making the fight unpredictable and all the more challenging. However, my personal reason for not doing any of it is simply because i have a piece of sh*t computer and still haven't managed to save enough money to get a high end gaming computer. Once I get one and don't have to worry about 1-3 minute lags, which we all know is too much damn time in-game, I'm definately going to give it all a shot. And there's my two creds. I wont be looking back at this, so if anyone tries to say something to tick me off it aint going to work. Peace Out B****es

If there is already a thread like this I apologize for doubling up. I'm just making this thread to voice an idea I had for the Cartel Market and give a place for others to do the same if there isn't another thread for it already. I was just trying to decide whether or not I was going to buy some more Cartel Coins when I thought that it would be awesome if we could purchase stuff off of it for our characters from the website. Just because it's alittle annoying to have to log in and out for each character for the individual purchase items like the packs or armor sets. Just a thought.

I've really wanted to play this race as well since they first anounced them. Hoping to make a female Cathar sentinel. But i would also like to see some other fan favorites, like the togruta, added as well. Personally I want Selkath and Ithorian but i don't think that'll ever happen since as far as i've seen they can't speak basic. Definately NOT Nautolans though. At first i was supportive of them, but then there was such an outcry from the fans of that species that it kind of killed the appeal.

1. As I stated in the Guardian thread, I'm pretty much a loner in MMO's so can't say much on Question #1. 2. I love the Shadow for two reasons in particular : stealth + double-saber = AWESOME ! However, one thing I noticed while on Nar Shadaa is that there aren't any double-bladed sabers for Shadows/Assassins in the Equipment Commendations Vendor's inventory. Admittedly, one could still buy a single saber, take out its mods and put them into their current double-saber, but that takes time and, by this point, a lot of creds. Just a thought.

In all the TOR games I absolutely love experiencing the game from all aspects: light, dark, male, and female. Yet despite that, I always enjoy plaing Light Side Jedi. However out of the classes I've tried so far, Sith Inquisitor is my favorite. I think I really "fell" for the class when you're in the Korriban jails to interrogate that acolyte under Inquisitor Zyn's supervision. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ SI: "Cover your ears.
