  1. From the amazon site help file on best seller ranking: We choose a few of the most popular subcategories in which the item has a high ranking in relation to other items in that subcategory, and showcase the item's rank on the product page. As with the main Amazon Best Sellers list, these category rankings are based on Amazon.com sales and are updated hourly. Basically its Amazon employee opinion based on selling trends. You will notice it went gold special a few days ago for 40 dollars, now its down to $28.53 (directly from Amazon, look in the list of sellers). Not saying the game isnt good, just saying that this isnt really the source you want to quote. If they really believed in this game, they wouldnt be desperately lowering the cost daily. Chances are they have a lot of copies they expected to offload but that their sales decreased HEAVILY within the first month, now they are trying as hard as they can to push the game off on people. The fact is, there is not much of a market for selling this game right now, it had a lot of anticipation and hype before it came out which lead to gigantic amounts of sales, theres no denying that. Its a competent game that has good replayability, but it didnt have an amazement factor that encouraged people to tell their friends en masse. Because of that, its sales arent increasing or even holding steady. The people who were excited about it have it now, and arent getting more people excited about it, meaning sales are dwindling. I would not be surprised if in 3 weeks copies are going for 5 dollars.
  2. I was trying to hit battlemaster before maintenance, if I couldnt I was going to turn in my daily for a champion bag, I did not get that chance because I was not warned. Its not a huge deal, but I just wasted a daily.
  3. They were seeing if we were paying attention? I reported bioware for spam.
  4. same here, space slug for you as well?
  5. There was no call for server downing, then suddenly 1 min before they went down, there were 30 messages all at once, then the server went down. Anyone else see this or am I crazy?
  6. Honestly, I defended this game til I was blue in the face, but at this point, I dont think there is any saving it. It does not have good replayability value at 50, only replayability is rolling alts. There is no sense of size, scope, or wow factor (not the game, the word). I understand they are limited to the SW universe, but honestly, there is no excitement, no accomplishment, no taking on something bigger than yourself. The gear looks hideous, tier 3 is such a tiny upgrade its not funny. I also see this game going heavily toward raiding in the near future, which is a mistake, given that the game does not lend itself whatsoever to grouping on the way up.
  7. Same problem I had with Rift. All the endgame sets look the same, there are currently 6 sets for each class, Tionese, Columi, Rakata, Centurian, Champion, and Battlemaster. The fact is, going Tio->colum->rakata, you see NO DIFFERENCE; same with the pvp. All the gear looks like crap, all the weapons are underwhelming. There is nothing asthetically endgame to strive for.
  8. 6 goals ends the game. Therefore if you get to 6 quickly, the match will end quickly. Also, it gives you a buffer. If you get 2 goals then start farming, chances are good the other team will catch up.
  9. Really I only had 2 wow moments. When I first started my first character, I had a wow moment with the intro that quickly evaporated. Then in my sith warrior line, the end of chapter 1 as lightside, I was wowed. Other than that, no, the game dosnt give me a feeling of accomplishment. I have 3 level 50s now because I hit 50, played for 2 weeks, got outfitted in columi/champion gear, looked at the rakata gear, was underwhelmed with the upgrade, and got very bored. Endgame gear has no significant stat increase, has the same look as the previous two tiers, and isnt that hard to get. I have to say... I'm bored. I dont expect a huge amount of endgame content at the beginning, but I would like something to strive for and work toward. Honestly, I'm now just looking forward to gw2. They have voice acting, character stories, etc, just like swtor, but they also have a much more vibrant world, more unique character diversity and progression, and a huge repeatability factor in endgame dungeons (story first time thru, then 3 different versions of the dungeon that isnt bogged down with story but still has choices that affect the way the story goes). It will be nice not spacebaring through the same content over and over. Plus, zomg, actualy open world pvp (WvWvW).
  10. I have to say I agree with the OP, origially I enjoyed the 4 man setup, 2 people + 2 companions made a good group leveling up, but now at 50, its not so nice.
  11. You called it a 100% clone. It may have similarities to wow, but it is not a 100% wow clone.
  12. Funny, I dont recall seeing Onyxia or gnomes... do you know what a clone is? Do you know what percentages are? Also, as far as I am aware, GW2 wont have macros or addons.
  13. Macros would be helpful with clearing up bars, especially for skill intensive classes like Juggernaught. Fact is, macro building is part of skill of playing games. If you study your skills, know what skills work well together, and can write a macro based off that, you are increasing your playing ability. All macros would do is increase quality of life. Mods or addons can be abused for sure, but I wish people would stop lumping macros in with that. Macros are harmless.
  14. You didnt look very hard. http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/shopping/computer_can_series.do?storeName=computer_store&category=notebooks&a1=See+all&v1=series&a2=Category&v2=High+performance&series_name=dv6tqe_series&jumpid=in_R329_prodexp/hhoslp/psg/notebooks/All_laptop_&_tablet_PC_series/dv6tqe_series 1200 dollar comp for under 800. I bought it 2 months ago, it runs swtor absolutely flawlessly. Ive not had one single issue since buying this computer. I get 30 fps in high settings on swtor, upwards of 60 fps on low settings.
  15. Fact is, there arent enough repubs to actually pvp in Ilum. When the reps decide they want to come out and pvp, they can maybe field 4-6 players, who get COMPLETELY stomped by the 50-60 imps circling around central assault. It takes maybe 6 deaths for each rep with not one kill on their side to sour it for them and send them running back to warzones.
