I love it. So, if you disagree then either you're terrible or you're stupid because your server population dropped. I don't know that I would feel all that insulted by someone who came to a game like this (and even worse, this game specifically) for "real" pvp.

Yes, it's server, but it's a lot of servers. They stated Ilum failed to be what they wanted. People from numerous servers are on the forums complaining due to low population and not being able to do group content, pvp or pve. So either they cater to the small % of people that prefer broken world pvp, or they incentivize warzones so a higher % of people can enjoy pvp overall.

Or, maybe they changed it because Ilum was a failure and there are a lot of people who can't complete the dailies there due to overall population, or population and gear imbalances. I managed to 6 armaments and 0 kills collected in Ilum over span of 2 weeks due to being Republic on a low pop server that is outnumbered and severely outgeared.

Anyone who is a serious PvPer and came to this game expecting great pvp obviously wasn't paying attention to the game development.

PvP is fun no matter who you face. Any "serious" PvPer would welcome more challengers. As for community, I'm glad your server has a great community for you to pvp, or do anything with. A lot of servers have nothing. And those of us that don't want to abandon multiple toons or legacy levels are stuck not being able to accomplish anything. You wait for hours for WZs that don't pop and enjoy your serious pvp then. Have fun in GW2, and the game after that, and the game after that....

As someone who is usually against cross server anything... No. I'm excited for cross server WZs. I might actually get to pvp on my primary and secondary servers.

I've waited 2 hours for a WZ to pop, during primetime, only to have it shut down due to lack of players. So yes, some of us suffer horrible waits, or often just don't get to participate, on our servers. So until they merge, or implement cross server everything, then anything that might allow WZs to pop faster is fine with me.

Just in case this is a serious post, and reply. This is exactly what they are doing. Set bonuses are going to the mods/armoring (not sure which piece it's going to be on). So you can pull mods and use whatever gear you want and keep the bonuses. They have stated this multiple times in various places, not the least of which was the recent guild summit. I guess I'm just confused how you could know they were doing the color matching but not know about the set bonus changes.

I hate it when companies feel the need to be so secretive about it as well. I used to love it when the GMs would come into Aion and make a show of the bans they were doing. They would broadcast the names as they kicked them. I wish more companies would do that.

Even on my ridiculously low population server, on the Republic side which is the lighter of the 2 factions, there are people forming HMs every day.
