  1. The difference that you are failing to discern is that ranked warzone groups are pre-made, and you'll just be pitted against another pre-made group, potentially from a different server. Your group will not be a hodge-podge of people from different servers, so the concerns involving people being jerks and screwing the rest of the group over are moot in the case of ranked warzones.
  2. That was classically epic! Thanks for sharing. Still not as good as this: http://youtu.be/VQCBTJm0sTw
  3. I think it's a pretty smart move to release just one new playable race on the Republic side (especially one that appeals to the 'furry-minded' community). I see this as a deliberate attempt at rebalancing the factions to some degree; an attempt that will likely be successful. P.S. - LMAO at that last line of your post!
  4. You're argument is fatally flawed... This is a simple issue of work vs. reward. Professional athletes work their tails off for years to gain strength, agility, muscle memory, speed, etc etc ad nauseam. MMO players work (er, play) their tails off, and in return they gain better gear (which, by the way, increases their 'strength', 'endurance', and such). This is a parallel, not a difference, as I see it.
  5. Yes, and man is it frustrating. I wonder if that deserter detection works for detecting my desertion from this game. J/k, but in all seriousness, I have very long load times and I think this factors into why this particular problem occurs; the timer countdown starts one minute before I've actually loaded into the WZ, so I can't escape in time. Never fails to piss me off, though.
  6. To answer your title question: Glowing Swords.
  7. Go with "Walk" by Pantera. Can't go wrong there.
  8. These abilities give Huttball the difficulty and intrigue that KEEP IT INTERESTING. Take these out and watch a bunch of boring, 5 minute long, 6-4 games.
  9. Hey bro, just letting you know, umm, I'm level 33 and I've managed to wrack up SIX ENTIRE EXPERTISE POINTS. Yeah, that's right, that's 0.26% increase in damage and mitigation bonus!! The tides are officially turned. You better do some fact checking, buddy. ;P
  10. This is more of a segment of PvP from a game, but Player Bounties, on Jedi who "exposed" themselves to much, as a bounty hunter in Pre NGE SWG were AWESOME. I've never had so much fun PvPing as stalking a scared Jedi from planet to planet around the galaxy and the eventual satisfaction of the battle when they realize they CAN'T keep away from you. Win or Lose, it was always epic.
  11. FFS OP and others I've seen threads by, don't you realize how boring of a PvP Warzone Huttball would be without pulls/pushes/stuns/grapple, etc?
  12. I had the exact same thing happen to me early this afternoon on Kaas City server. WZ going great, closing in on a win...then a 13k ms lag spike, I dc, and dead on the fleet... I was REALLY pissed.
  13. Have you ever watched a Star Wars movie? Man, those jedi love them some force push. Droids flying this way, sith flying thata way, droid flying over there into other droid. It's zany!! I think they really captured the essence of the Star Wars setting with these abilities.
  14. Anymore, whenever I'm playing Huttball with 1 or more people that are obviously oblivious to the map objectives and game in general (I can easily spot one, as I used to be one of them) I always direct them to the PvP boards to read the Huttball 101 Guide. Getting this basic and also somewhat advanced primer on the game will turn any competent PvPer around 100% in Huttball. I used to get blown out in every match, spend a ton of my time in the pits...I hated the warzone. I used to blow at this WZ, I L'd2P (literally), and my 32 Juggy rolls around that map Charging, Choking, and Pushing like a madman and I'm frequently on the winning side. I love this WZ!!! Now matches are close, it feels like a 4th quarter playoff atmosphere when I'm playing Huttball. I'm glad the learning curve seems to be catching up.
