Game is aleady playable. Works fine. get a better computer.

I am seeing a lot of negative posts, so as the authors of those posts say, I am entitled to post my feelings on the game. Am I a fanboy for posting somehting positive.. well maybe. However, fanboy or critic, first and foremost I am a gamer and customer. Simply put, this game is FUN. I am having a blast playing through the zones and leveling my toons. BUGS: Yeah yeah.. there are bugs.. new game, thats how it works. There are bugs, lots and lots of bugs. And you know what, not a single one has stopped my ability to play this game. Momentary moments of annoyance perhaps but absolutely nothing game breaking whatsoever. ABILITY DELAY Have had no issue with this at all... Empire or Republic Side. My abilities work just fine. yeah it took a few combat sessions to get used to the way combat works in SWTOR, but once I adjusted, it works just fine. PVE and PVP... having no trouble at all. FPS I run a 2 year old piece of crap HP box with onboard video and audio. Game runs smooth as silk for me. Only time I`ve noticed issues is in highly populated zones and I get stuttering now and then. Quit the game over a little stuttering... not gonna happen. This is an MMO, the textures are never going to be Call of Duty quality, or Skyrim, or any of the other games people toss around on here. The textures arent bad, they are a style different from what you expected or are used to. People say the graphics are old and outdated, or are just bad... and they really aren`t. This game looks better than just about any MMO I`ve tried...(and yeah I`ve played most everything on the market at the moment... Vanguard, Lineage I and II, Tabula Rasa, AoC, Warhammer, Rift, Cov, CoH, Guild Wars and yes, WoW, and a few others...) Sure there are some glitches for some of us.. I get tearing now and then, and the occasional flickering on trees. But thats MY video chip... thats not Bioware. But at the end of the day my game runs smooth and I`ve had very few issues even with my crap rig. FPS be damned, the game simply works. In PVE and PVP... I`ve spent time in Flashpoints and Warzones and both run very well even on my subpar PoS. 32wqCOMBAT and UI Fighting is pure fun in this game. I played WoW from the first day of retail... and up until SWTOR popped, I didnt think combat could be more fun. I was wrong. Yeah there are issues with the UI for some people who are used to thier own way, or cant grasp the basics of a vanilla UI, but I had no trouble adjusting to the layout at all. Yeah there are some customization options I`d like to see but the default layout is absolutely usable for fighting and for healing. Anyone who dpsèd or healed in Vanilla WoW will have no issue at all with this. No, we dont get a UI we are used to... lifes like that. Why anyone would expect a UI tailored to their own style is in for a disappointment. Sometimes you just need to stretch a little and learn a new way of doing things. You know, like people who are playing a brand new game they havent played before. Oh wait... VOICEOVERS Love the voiceovers. The whole story side of this game is awesome and brilliantly implemented. I am immersed in this game and connected to my characters to a degree I did not think possible previous to SWTOR. BUGS AGAIN Bugs... hell yeah there are bugs. But you know, bugs go away eventually. A very important lesson I learned from other MMO`s. No matter how thorough the testing, nobody knows how a game system will react to live load... if they did, we would have had at least one MMO launch that didnt seem like a total cluster**** and there hasnt been. Ever. SWTOR has an aggressive patching schedule... yeah, there are issues with patches. Anyone who played WoW for any length of time, at bhe beginning, will have fond memories of some of the early debacles Blizzard foisted off on us. But they learned, and they adjusted and it got better. And so it will for this game. The SWTOR launch was the smoothest I have ever experienced... there were queues and lag and every other hiccup that every other MMO had at thier launch. And still, this launch was better all the way around... SUMMARY This game is hella fun.. the combat, the voiceovers, the characters, the lore, the graphics... all of it is engaging and for the first time in years I find myself rushing home from work so I can jump on and see what new adventures are in store for my toon. Its FUN. F-U-N, fun. Label it however you like, I am paying for this game, and will keep doing so as long as I keep having fun. I pay for entertainment and this game gives it to me in spades. Your mileage may vary.
