  1. Experiencing the same issue. It might just have a bugged reset timer. I watched an imperial go up and do it just before I got there on my server. Waited for half an hour and it never respwned. I came back an hour later to do dread fortress and people were still saying it was bugged.
  2. Greetings, I would just like to start off by reaffirming my thread topic. I don't know who your aesthetic supervisor (or whatever you call him at your company) is at Bioware, but you honestly need to fire them. Lets start with something small. I remember in beta, it was a HUGE issue for bioware to make an interface that was aesthetically pleasing as well as simplistic. I, along with many of my fellow players are here to tell you that in recent patches you have absolutely failed in this regard. The recent Warzone frames are the climax of such terrible designing. I understand that you all want to make things simplistic, yet functional. You need to take a page of Apple's book. Whether you're an Android or Apple fan, Apple is very simplistic. The new Warzone frames fall short of this mark, by a (excuse my French) metric ****ton. I was talking to several guildies last night and we cannot understand why you did not tab it in a way that makes sense... ie: Warzones Arenas Statistics I can only assume that the person who originally designed such an interface (like the skill interface) has since been fired in your "restructuring of Bioware". Note that while I am complaining about the way the game is now. I am not against Bioware. I have spent the last day defending "simple bugs" that idiots believe are bugs which are, in reality, their lack of understand of 2.4 This interface however... Needs a redesign. Unascended
  3. Ah. Of course not. I misread it. I thought it increased the damage of all focuses. And yes I was thinking that as well, but the 10 percent won't do much if a boss targets me And it IS useful for HM FPs.
  4. Hello all! I had a few questions regarding Infiltration for those of you who have the time to discuss the class. 1. I have been following noxxic's talent build (for those not familiar it can be found here: http://www.noxxic.com/swtor/pve/jedi-consular/shadow/infiltration/talent-build) and I wish to know how accurate this spec is. There are a few things that I might consider changing. 2. I'm going to assume that the armor penetration from Technique Mastery outweighs putting 1 point in that and 2 points in Force Focus? (from balance) 3. What about Expertise from Kinetic Combat? Is it worth it to put points in here from any other talents? I'm going to assume no because the damage is relatively low compared to what the other talents offer. Thanks for your time! Unascended Note: Please do not try and dissuade me from this spec by switching to balance. I do not care if one is better than the other. I really enjoy Infiltration and do not wish to do anything but this spec. Thanks.
  5. 1. After I stab a quest object, I would like to be able to not run around like Richard Simmons without having to re-sheath my lightsaber... 2. Like someone else said, mini games. Stuff that keeps us involved. The binocular thing is lame, I don't know of very many people who actually like doing that. Rift has a very good system called "Artifacts", WoW has fishing, cooking and archaeology. We.... Got datacrons, seeker droid (which honestly is a blatant ripoff of Archaeology from WoW) and binocular crap. Both were fun for about a week, then got boring. 3. Open space combat. I know it's in the works and SHOULD be here by 2014, but I figured I'd put it here even though I know it's coming.
  6. What I don't understand is why they didn't just create their own engine. Yes I understand this involves a lot more work (I have a degree in Computer Science), but it's not as difficult as many people believe, especially when you have an entire team of developers working on it. This guy was able to make a crude version of Nar Shadaa by himself after all. I know a lot of people hate when you compare the two, but in this case it makes sense... World of Warcraft has had it's own game engine since day one. I'm not saying that there haven't been a metric **** ton of bugs (anyone who played the first 6 months of WoW release...), however when the engine is your own you have a LOT more flexibility. Bugs are easier to squash when you are working with your own engine. (Point and case? A bug that's been here since day one that we all know about: after stabbing a quest item with your lightsaber, you run around with the traditional run with your lightsaber similar to how you would run if your lightsaber was sheathed.) WoW started out VERY small. They were not expecting it to grow into the massive game it is today, which is why there were so many server issues and crashes the first year the game was up. The fact that Bioware didn't start with their own engine is an indication that the company is either under very poor management; or they don't care enough to give us an A+ Star Wars MMO. That being said (not sure if it was mentioned as I don't have the time to read through 12 pages of comments), but if you look at the YouTube videos comments, he said that camera angles were very difficult to achieve with that engine (I personally have never worked with that engine so I wouldn't know). What many of you are failing to grasp from the comments I've read, is that you don't understand how a gaming engine works. It is MUCH easier to create a world and record a fly through than it is to actually have multiple people in the area and moving around in the way we understand MMOs to work. Note that I'm not defending Bioware, I have said from day one that using the Hero Engine was a very stupid move on their part. Unascended
  7. Edit: Apparently edits are working even when it's undergoing maintenance. Yay Bioware.
  8. So it's clear the community doesn't know anything about this, but what about from Bioware? Those of us who are collectors wish to know. I personally do not wan't to get screwed out of a pet that is only available to certain players of this game. If it's available. I wan't it.
  9. Rather than having a less than constructive post like the majority of people who responded to the thread, I decided I would make something meaningful out of my post. I do feel your pain, I have been playing since beta and it seems like the updates for this game are few and far between. (The first summer where Bioware was "reshuffling" their department comes to mind. [where we had almost 7 months of no new content]) This game COULD be great, but Bioware refuses to use the resources at their disposal to hire better teams of coders in order to make this happen. As such, this game will always be a "high C or low B" game. No getting around that. I honestly hope a Bioware employee reads then and understands my frustration, as I realize it is not entirely their fault, but their companies. As a fellow coder (I have a masters in Computer Science), I understand your frustration. Not getting the team members needed to fulfill your dream is distressing. I sometimes shudder when I go and attack a quest item with my lightsaber and find out that it still (miraculously) makes my character run around like Richard SImmons with a lightsaber. Bioware could do A LOT more to fix this game, but they don't. So while I am sad to see a veteran player and their family leave, I understand your reasoning. Wishing you will in your future gaming endeavours, Unascended
  10. Is it possible to achieve the EU Cartel Coin Pet in the US? If not... That's kind of messed up. I understand the EU is suffering for the MMO market right now compared to NA and Asia, but to deny us a pet to get you more money is simply, very depressing. Any way to get this as a NA server player? Regards, Unascended
  11. So there have been a few posts on Raptr in the past, but I figured I would once again bring it up. For those who don't know, Raptr is an amazing gaming social network site that has been around for a few years now. My suggestion is for Bioware to become more active in the site similar to how games such as Rift have done, which offers rewards for time played. I have discovered a great number of games through Raptr, so from a business standpoint its pure publicity for Bioware. Another benefit is that it will motivate people to play SWTOR more, thus drawing more people in to the community, and by extension, getting more money from subscriptions and cartel coin buys. Just a thought, Ezenthor
  12. Your companion will attack if YOU attack. If this doesn't happen... Pro tip: Take companion off of passive. If you aren't at least using your main auto-shot ability as a healer, you aren't playing this game right. Every healer I've played I have at least done some form of damage to the enemy target, whether it's from a grenade, to auto shot to a DoT from a sage.
  13. Can't tell if troll... Or serious. 95 percent of these suggestions sound like something WoW did after they realized it was a bad idea. This isn't WoW, it's a completely different concept as far as PvP. This game does SHARE some of the original aspects of WoW (as did WoW from EQ and UA). Still it has many original ideas. If you wan't to play WoW, go play WoW Accept that MMOs are evolving, in both F2P model as well as the games themselves.
