  1. That is the jist of it. Why else do humans compete.
  2. Currently battlemaster is available to anyone who puts in the time (which is a large portion of the community), what is going to keep pvpers around after they obtain all their gear / highest rank? In my opinion nothing. Without any form of rating system or any way to differentiate player skill levels what would honestly keep me around? Setting aside all of the bugs/glitches/exploits that are available to players in the warzones currently people are just going to tire out from doing them. As fun as standing around looking tough in a video game w/o any way to progress or get my skill level assessed by the rest of the community there's absolutely no way the game is going to keep my interest. As much as I would like to hit on the flaws I'm sure other people have already stated the same issues. My question to the rest of the community though is this really enough to keep you around?
  3. The dune sea on tat was the first place I ran into republic. Around level 29
  4. I have become reliant on macro's in pvp, the current pace of pvp seems relatively slow so far w/ the lack of /last target /focus macro's to kick / or crowd control other players just wondering how other players are finding this aspect of the game. On use macro's tied into cooldowns / weapon swap macros. Going to use an example of WoW swapping out weapons for multiple procs etc and using the in game timer to track the internals all tied into one macro, I don't see anywhere near that depth of end game pvp mechanics coming out of star wars as of right now. But if anyone has some feed back on the topic feel free I am really curious how other players are finding pvp without the use of macros. ( Another factor into the pace of the game may be the 5-15 fps i get in warzones as of right now with cast bars disappearing and heavy input lag)
  5. I was personally under the impression the que times were due in part to attempted server balancing if this is not the case then I am sad. Very sad, also getting 1-3 second of input lag in warzones without cast bars showing : /. Makes pvp a pretty non viable option all together for me, whilst also being on lowest settings, with 20 latency.
  6. I was wondering when I would see the first Dovahkiin on the forums.
  7. I agree with you 100% everyone is starting over fresh with a clean slate, my only intention in the post was to pull in experienced pvpers who already have a pvp background to play against us as the opposing faction so we could better ourselves. However it never hurts to state past experiences to pull in a larger player pool. Who may have also had similar experiences. Who would obviously share a common interest of pvp with myself.
  8. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion. Experiences in any pvp environment whether it be fps or mmorpg can always benefit from open communication and coordination. Best of luck to yourself as well!
  9. Yeah unfortunately until a program such as wow tunnels gets introduced a few of our players coming from west coast or different countries are going to sit on high pings hopefully the issue will be resolved within the next few months though. ( not by the game but from external parties unrelated to the game ) For now to help fix your ping read up on how to manually adjust your bandwidth as most high end pvpers from any other game are more than likely familiar with programs such as leatrix can be adopted into the old republic to cut pings in half. With some effort on your end of course .
  10. Nice! I was a Grand Marshal as well. Good to see old school pvpers coming into the fold for star wars.

    The Fatman

As of now I understand it is which is why we need to consistently have early forum presence to draw in a solid pvp community for both factions. So please republic players come join us .

    The Fatman

    I will see you there.
  13. Very cool I myself chose sith inquisitor after seeing the population poll of each class more people means I can almost consistently improve myself. Leaning towards a support/healing oriented spec.
  14. Yes that would be great, hoping to pull in as much pvp competition as possible, still unaware of head count that will be coming in with myself. Most of the group is in their early to late 20's. Only way to better ourselves is to play with/ compete against people better than ourselves ^^. Hopefully we can lay a good foundation down for the The Fatman.
  15. Haha, yes I had someone on the first wave save my name prior to posting .
