In the last 2 days, I've had 3 lockouts: 1.) Playing GSF was kicked for not contributing even though I probably had the highest damage in the match. There was at the most 1 minute or so of not shooting anyone prior to the kick because it was one of those dumb wide open gunship standoff maps where everyone is hesitant to cross no-man's land and get slaughtered but that should not have been long enough to trigger an afk kick. 2.) Playing GSF, got killed but button to respawn did not show up. I tried resetting the UI with ctrl-U and it did not help. 3.) Lag spike during voidstar kicked me out. This has happened to me a number of times over the past weeks. (I use ethernet and a great router. My ISP is having problems in my area so there are intermittent issues). There are a lot of players that should be kicked from matches and there isn't a perfect way to address this but I think a big improvement would be: 1.) If someone gets disconnected from the game (as opposed to clicking LEAVE) and then logs back in within 1 minute, put them back in the match/warzone they were in 2.) If the devs are not technically competent enough to figure out how to make (1) possible, then give one free "leave" per day before the 20 minute lockout kicks in In all content I play, I always contribute and never leave no matter how many chimps or freeloaders are on my team, and I'm sick of getting this lockout when technical problems force me out.

It's not fun when in order to get your gear you have to complete Daily missions. I reached level 50 after 2 weeks from early release. I did dailies every day, with maybe 1 or 2 exceptions. I just last week completed my set of battlemaster gear. Now there will be a new tier. I don't see why advantage-granting gear should be the main focus of everything. Again, the concept is just very foreign to me I suppose.

I didn't say that my favorite part of the game is leveling... I said I enjoyed the story.

Not that it's entirely significant that one person canceled his sub, or that anyone necessarily believes me (I'm sure people claim this all the time), but I unsubbed last night and here is why. I'm 90% PvP'er, though I did enjoy leveling up immensely. I never played WoW, so this whole idea of being required to put hours and hours EVERY day to be competitive with other players is very foreign to me. I grinded to War Hero and have full BM gear. I chased the carrot on the stick, and now they're turning it into a cucumber. I don't understand why other players feel they need to be "rewarded" with advantage-granting gear for putting time into the game. Enjoying the game and your victories should be its own reward. I don't know what WoW did to the brains of gamers, but this kind of a huge time sink is not for me. I understand that it's more profitable if BW can successfully keep people playing by using this strategy (if people actually DO enjoy being "rewarded" in this way). However, this strategy has repelled me, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. I consider this a TRAGEDY, because I waited for this game since it was announced, like many others, and otherwise enjoy it immensely. However, I don't have the 5 hours a day that's required just to be competitive enough to have fun. I'm leveling an alt, for the story enjoyment, until my subscription runs out in 2 weeks.

I can never remember which is "grass" and which is "snow", so I just don't respond to calls. I don't know why people can't figure out east / west.

HAD relevance for DPS as a pyrotech. They not only nerfed it, but they broke the AC in 1.2 Not enough screaming going on about it because it's the least played class. -
If only this would actually remain true. I will be unsubbing if the next tier of gear takes hundreds of hours to get. I love mopping the floor with other players in PvP but I hate the imbalance that occurs just because people put more time into the game. I grinded full BM gear, and I'm not doing it again. Putting more time into the game should make you a better player anyways, without the need for stat boosts and "rewards"... What happened to winning and fun being its own reward?? I blame this new generation of kiddie gamers on WoW.

He's obviously trolling. To say rapid shots is better to use than flame burst in rotations? HUH??? Rapid shots = less accuracy, and mitigated by both shields and armor. Flame burst = Tech attack, elemental damage. Bypasses both. I will definitely be shelving my PT, and quite possibly canceling my sub, if this goes through. I don't want to grind a new war hero alt just because the devs are obviously out of touch with reality and their player base.

Yep, exactly. If they want to make this change, they need to make it so RS is on a 6s CD, not proc'd, otherwise the spec is no longer viable. They also need to make AP viable... I fully expected that in 1.2. The change they made to AP is worthless, as if you didn't proc charged gauntlets over the 15s RS cooldown previously, you'd have to be very, very unlucky.

Yeah, the not-so-visible implication of this is it's going to cause massive overheating issues. We don't just rely on PPA for burst, it's essential to staying cool, and as it was we were always on the verge of overheat.

Thanks for the response! I'm not sure I'd call 15% increased chance "significant" considering the new 6s CD.... And they didn't buff AP to make it viable.... I'll keep the whining, kicking, and screaming to myself though. *sigh*

Trying to sift through all the kicking, screaming, and crying on here but I can't find anywhere the new -confirmed- rate of procs from anyone who's been on the Test Server. Clarification: 1.) Charged Gauntlets now triggers from damage dealt such that the bleed caused by Retractable Blade can trigger the buff. It now has a visual effect. ^CAN trigger the buff. What's the % and from what abilities? 2.) Prototype Particle Accelerator now requires Combustible Gas Cylinder to trigger. The chance to trigger this effect has been increased significantly but cannot trigger more than once every 6 seconds. ^What does "increased significantly" mean? What's the % and from what abilities? Thanks to anyone who can provide this. I don't have a lvl 10 on the Test server, so can't look at the trees myself.

I can't believe I'm letting myself get baited into this because I usually don't even come onto TorChan very often. However: I have a War Hero full-BM geared Pyro. We have no mobility and are incredibly squishy. The heavy armor looks nice but most attacks completely bypass it. The burst is great WHEN IT HAPPENS. The entire spec is a slot machine, and we have no control over any engagement. First we have to get lucky PPA procs to reset RS, then we have to get lucky crits. If all the stars line up, yes we can do nice burst (although the claims on here have been outrageously exagerated). If we don't get lucky, we end up in high heat and cut down. Personally, I hate the spec because I'd rather have some options to have control over the engagement and utilize more reactive and proactive thinking. However, I'm forced into it because Advanced Prototype is completely worthless... I'd be fine with them trimming the top end, and increasing PPA procs, while giving us some tricks to use. The DPS versions of this entire AC are awful and I don't want to be a tank.
