  1. This is all well and good, but I just tried to name a toon Belle Nightshade. Invalid. Beau Nightshade. Invalid. Bel Nightshade. Invalid. Belle Solanace. Invalid. Beau Solanace. Invalid. Solanace, Solanale, Decoris, all invalid. These aren't names, they're language variants of the words "Beautiful" and "Nightshade," which last I checked neither have copyright or decency infringements. And yet, for some godforsaken reason Alba Solani, directly translated latin for GORGEOUS nightshade, managed to get through the list. So once again, what's the friggin criteria?
  2. The naming idea was really cool. It made the weapons actually feel unique, instead of mass produced. I still have my Quickshot and Crossfire Cara's Little Helper.
  3. Can we go back to getting certificates and rep from the packs, please? I'd rather have the certificates than those stupid grand chance cubes.
  4. In my opinion BioWare storytelling used to be second to none in the electronic entertainment industry. At risk of sounding like a broken record, KotOR and Mass Effect are two of the greatest games I have ever played, and Mass Effect's depth of story and lore is the bar I use when I look at a new game's writing. That being said, the current storytelling is severely lacking in swtor when compared to the classics, and even the vanilla game. I love the class stories, and I can't speak for the rest of the community, but I've been asking for new class content since Makeb wound up being one class fits all. I know class stories will be expensive and the current mindset is Bottom Line. I know the writing team has been gutted. However, there's a word in the dictionary that I think the BioWare team needs to reacquaint itself with. Risk. Take a chance, hire some new writers. Take a chance, create some diversity. Look at the top shelf instead of the bottom line. I can even see it working with the current KotFE story. Season one establishes the Alliance. Season two sees the Outlander returning to his/her roots. The Warrior renews his vow of fealty as the Wrath or breaks it entirely. The Inquisitor ousts the "Empress" and takes the throne. The Knight and/or Consular reform the Jedi Council. The Smuggler reclaims his underworld empire. The Trooper makes good on his promise and claims his colonel stripes. The Hunter takes over the BBA and assigns the bounties instead of claiming them. The Agent reforms Sith Intelligence and points them at Zakuul. These are just ideas that I grabbed off the top of my head. I'm sure professional writers could come up with something even better. Take a chance, BioWare. Return to form. Be the awesome storytellers you used to be. Signed, an amateur storyteller.
  5. Skadge is DEFINITELY going to bite it. I have never seen a companion more reviled, nor more deserving of said revulsion.
  6. I think Risha's going to make good on her plans to retake Dubrillion. I'm also interested in how they'll handle Jaessa, with her two minds.
  7. Sussex for England, Brittany and Normandy for France, Hamburg Berlin and Bavaria for Germany off the top of my head.
  8. Oh come on, Eric. You're awesome, I admit, but fewer you questions more tor questions. I'll guess California.
  9. I'd like to offer ditching the 4 piece in favor of reducing the energy cost of Quickdraw and extending it's range by 5 meters. Slingers/Snipers are all ready fodder, and the five extra meters are nice but don't really make that much of a difference against classes with quicker TTK's, so more range and easier energy management would be a nice tradeoff.
  10. Just my 2c, I always read it as a LS Hunter has a code he sticks to. The rest of the galaxy's morality is black and white, but a Hunter's is blue and orange. He's not a traditionally good person, or a paragon of virtue, and he never claims to be. He hunts targets for credits, and when he takes a contract he completes the contract (unless the employer is less than forthcoming or asks the Hunter to violate his code). Yes, he slaughters hundreds, maybe thousands, across his career, but every one of them is armed and awake. The targets he kills are all armed. If they're not, or if an armed target submits and surrenders, it's carbon freeze and taken alive. He's not a murderer. There are exceptions of course. Sometimes a mercy kill is necessary if the alternative is worse, the Eidolon and Trando on Hoth come to mind. If the contract calls for a kill, make it quick and painless. Mako and the Hunter put it best after the Nar Shaddaa hunt. What makes the Hunter better than an assassin? The option to take alive. An assassin kills. A hunter hunts. And once you have a contract on your head, you're not a person any more, you're cargo. Saying Dark and Light when referring to somebody like the Hunter or even a smuggler is wrong, because they don't ascribe to traditional right and wrong. Think of it like that.
  11. 8:00 PM, 2000 hours. You're welcome along, Void, so long as you aren't griefing. Respect always.
  12. Attention all Republic Forces: Champions of the Empire: OOC Announcement: What: Oricon Base Assault When: 15 February 2014 Time: 8:00est/5:00pst Mahn uhl Fharth bey ihn valle.
  13. Okay, so you don't want me using xs flyby against a single target. What about against groups of adds that spawn during boss fights? xs would keep them rooted and most of them dead by the end allowing me to focus on the boss. Now it's a joke, and a waste of ten energy. I understand knocking it down a peg. But not to the point of worthless like they did.
