Correct, good insight. As for myself I'm on a destination, so I have no option to transfer, but I am INCLUDED in the process just the same. So, every server will be a destination or origin.

So you are saying servers that are underpopulated will NOT be eligible for transfer? That's the while point. No I think much more likely it is the out of county servers like oceanic which are not part of this process. A reps explanation here would be very welcome here I think.

This is direct from the FAQ, whose link is in the main article. The initial Character Transfer Service will be available starting from June 12, 2012 after our regular scheduled server maintenance. The service will be made available gradually, starting with a small number of origin servers and adding more until all servers eligible for transfer are available in the service. Eligible servers will be listed as they become available for transfers at http://www.swtor.com/transfer. This is to prevent potential server load issues. Free character transfer between selected servers will remain available for as long as it is needed to help balance server populations.

PLEASE go read the article on the front page. They have said time and again all servers will be either destination or origin. The Only exception is EU RP.

Please read the news article on the front page and the dev blog and count how many times the words ”gradual” and ”over time” are used. We will be awaiting your findings.

That's only one day into next week. that hope is.directly contrary to his post. Expect what he said to expect or you will just be setting yourself up for disappointment. All the servers will be transferee in time, (yes I know, not the RP EU), if waiting a few more days causes you to quit, than you would have found a reason no matter what.

They said everywhere it would be a gradual process, meaning not every server will be open at the same time. They also said in the blog they want to have it done before 1.3 which is getting very close as well. Finally, he said in the most recent post they should be finishing up the end of next week. How is that not adequate information on what's going on?

Yes, but every one was told it would.be a one to two week process, and even despite the first day problems we are on track to meet the time table.that was.given to us. I would say that us pretty dang good, instead everyone is taking the glass is half empty approach because they think it is unfair. But it is very fair because we were given notice it would take this long.

It is amazing to me that almost everyone was willing to wait through the gradual process just fine a few days ago, in fact, you have waited this long, what has changed? What has changed is that some people got to move and some not. So instead of waiting through the process like you were willing to do a few days ago, all the sudden it's, give me what I want now or I will unsub after all these months even though we are just days away from a fix. The level of entitlement astounds me.

If they made changes halfway through, then guilds may get split, something they have made a huge effort to avoid. It's a much better solution to do it slow than do it wrong.
