I have been gleefully playing SwTor for over 6 weeks. I went to log in tonight and was not able to. The launcher is running, I see it in task manager. But the application is NOT. It has been allowed to go through my firewall. I have never had issues until tonight. I did a system restore. And while it would run on my backup drive, it wanted to download 1.5gig of video files that already exist on that hard drive. This was unacceptable. So I tried again from my main hard drive.. same issue.. The launcher would not launch!! I formatted the main drive and re-installed win7. Then, after all vid/lan/audio drivers were set, I reinstalled the launcher. .... Same issue. The launcher runs, but I do not see the window to login. As I type this the launcher is downloading 1.6gig of video files that already exsist on my main backup drive. Is there not a way to point SwTor launcher to where I have the game installed? Has anyone else had this issue? Is there a fast and easy solution? My set up is as follows. C: contains windows related files only. And some programs. (Excluding the SwTor install) E: contains all programs and software including SwTor. I have my system set up this way because I know all too well it is not a question if IF windows will fail... but when. Any ideas on a solution would be appreciated. I would really like to play for a bit tonight. I have been trouble shooting this for over 3 hours now. I would submit a ticket but I am afraid I would get a 'canned' useless answer. -cheers-
