  1. Proper grammar and punctuation would do wonders for the credibility of such posts. Just sayin'.
  2. The 110% is fine by me since it also means it doesn't blow up when someone throws a pebble at it.
  3. Just going to throw this out there: If Bioware released the game with all the content/options WoW has now.... We'd be having space pandas by March. I, for one, do not want space pandas.
  4. Flip side: We get screwed over by bugs that manifest after a patch that are hotfixed before the EUs get them.
  5. He was saying to only allow xfers one way. It may not make a huge difference (I'd be tempted if it meant less Huttball ), but a small difference is still a difference.
  6. I never said you had to balance around it, simply that you had to acknowledge it. From a design perspective, many "large" character models in games have shorter-than-would-be legs because studies show that people do not like looking like they are running slower than smaller characters even though the movement speeds are the same.
  7. Not all. There have been many people (myself included) that have logged between factions at the same time in comparable zones and have recorded their findings. You notice that the population in Ilum shows 57 republic and log over to 137 imperials. Thats not anecdotal. You HAVE to acknowledge player perception to retain customers. You're arguing stats on paper, but much depends on a player's experiences "real world."
  8. I agree to a point. However, when you're speaking about an experience the end user has, it IS colored by bias, emotion, and perception. There IS a faction imbalance. I've seen reports of up to 4:1 on some servers. Even if I were outnumbered 4:1 on a server, but logged on with enough friends that it didn't affect me, I would not care. But in the end, it matters what the player PERCEIVES, not what is reality when it comes to deciding if their play experience is enjoyable and whether or not he or she is to continue that experience.
  9. If anything, that would bring the Empire win X% down since it cannot be more than 50% against other empire.
  10. Hardly factual, but I don't believe I've ever seen more than 4 republic characters at once in the Ilum objective. More often than not, i see at least a dozen Imps every time I go.
  11. Care to support that argument with facts? No, if I just stand there, everyone dies. I switch between heals and DPS. If I don't heal, everyone slowly dies. If I don't DPS, boss enrages, everyone dies. Clearly someone's never done HM/Nightmare Operations. They have an insanely strict enrage timer. Still no leg...
  12. I'm still not seeing any "risk" there. I wasn't aware you had to beat anything to get rewarded for PvP. My bad. Beating other players rewards you FASTER, but you do not have to kill one person to get rewarded. On the other hand, in PvE, you DO have to kill the boss to get the reward. Like I said, no leg to stand on.
  13. What risk is there in PVP to reward? At least in PVE, if you die often, your wallet starts to feel it. Keep in mind that this is from an old UO/DAOC/PS player. PVP is my lifeblood, but you don't have a leg to stand on here, bud.
  14. You essentially get permaslows as pyro in addition to ridiculously higher survivability. Jet boost provides a small (and underappreciated) knockback. Bodyguard could use a little love. Arsenal is fine. 2 knockbacks on a short cooldown(one of which also slows), stun, unload slow. HoT from vent heat. Be glad you're not a sniper. They essentially CANT move to do any meaningful damage. Which is also why their immune to most cc while in cover. We have plenty of instant abilities that do decent damage in their own right.
