  1. I've been unhinged over a lot of the changes I have seen in the last year. This CQ rip-off brings to mind the Camel & Straw thing. Like many, I have invested lots of real-dosh into this game, and, as a founding 62 yr old that has played since early release its extremely disappointing to have the 'way we play' micro managed (although managed barely fits as an apt description) Unlike most, I solved the issue of getting bored with my toons and having to buy extra server by simply setting up another computer to play the game and create another account. I now have 3 accounts I play, plus my wife's account. At one stage we had 4 accounts subbed - now down to 3 and its most likely I'll drop 2 more once we have finished migrating all our active toons over to SV (APAC Founders) and setup our private Guild to manage resource distribution. Really, I'm just waiting for the new KOTOR to be ready - then its highly likely I will no longer provide any funding in any form to EABS...
  2. It has nothing to do with the way 'I Play' I have many characters and DO play hard on many of them. Its more that it adversely affects the collection of FS Plans for small guilds - of which I have 3 - but that another story posted elsewhere... You can liken this to the Companion Influence - once a companion is at LVL 50 influence you cannot give them any more. Its the same for Reputation - once a REP is maxed out - its cooked and no more easy CQ.. In all fairness - they should have considered making it the same as Companion influence - around 17k.. You may not know but EABS actually acknowledged the players that play 'Short Session' but did little to appease them.. Making the changes the the Heroics CQ has done little to ease the discomfort...
  3. I quote: In Game Update 7.4.1, changes to the Reputation Track and Reputation Conquest Objectives connected to Galactic Seasons were changed. We are actively discussing what adjustments can be made regarding these changes. More details can be found here. Seems to me that you have blown away any thought of reverting this in anyway at all... Just adding changes to Heroics is not going to solve the problems that this caused for Short-Session characters. YES, some of us have them! Characters taken to LVL 50 just so we can farm extra Flagship Plans for our pitifully small Guilds.. Play them out once there services are no longer needed. I stand by my other statements. At 450 Plans to unlock to 1st Command room, how many weeks of grinding is that? And now there are no more 'EASY' CQ objectives?
  4. Absolutely not.. When your collecting Plans you play your posterior off.. With all SH rooms unlocked the Rep unlock was the last nice quick & easy hit of CQ points.. I beside myself because (as noted in my post and a recent DEV post) I have a lot of 'short session' characters all over LVL 50 that I was using to get EXTRA plans. Now they are DUST...
  5. Not too sure about anyone that thinks this is the case. So far every guild I have ever joined does not allow GB access for withdrawals to new members. Even if its a badly setup permission system (in which case the GM needs educating) the most important point to realize here - a Guild TAB is not just open to the people involved. Anyone could remove the 'said' item before the intended target does - its not exactly a private area. What really lame about this, 30 day old guild members are going to use this exact mechanism anyway. Most guild have properly setup permission. Further, as noted by another responder, if this is done to stop the GM (1 person) from being able to exploit the 'fee free exchange' I'd say its a very very lame thing to do. It does a lot more damage to the integrity of the 'intended purpose' of the GB system on a whole.. It reminds me of the way they (DEVS) stopped the Bots from raiding the Loot bins - just remove the loot. Punish everyone to stop the few!!! I loved farming credits on Rishi - those were the days..
  6. Everyone needs to read my post here https://forums.swtor.com/topic/934421-the-death-of-small-guilds/#comment-9807918 As I pointed out in that post, the Reputation CQ reduction is the final nail in the coffin. Anyone that has a personal guild (I do because I have multiple accounts and play several at once) or a small guild that caters for a group of friends is going to struggle getting the Perks unlocked. Its that simple.. DEVS DO NOT LISTEN NOR DO THEY CARE WHAT WE SAY.
  7. This point has been outlined by many others, including myself in other posts. We are here as their TEST subjects - we are players that had our environment taken away from us year ago - and now had to PAY to get back to where we started off in the first place. Clearly some non-gaming exec had made a request to monetise this project as much as possible...
  8. Its seems to me that nearly everyone that has read the opening post has missed the point. I NEVER said I was a 1 man army. We did have some other players contributing Plans - and its mostly because I offered a reward for handing them in. We (my wife and I) would often play 4 accounts. At time I played 3 at once to get the extra CQ on other toons - I did this on selected content where I could effectively use the Follow Command on mu (our) group. The most important point was the RECENT change where they drastically lowered the CQ awarded for Reputation increase. I was able to have some static characters that I didn't waste a lot of time grinding - I would just use m2x rep and 1x companion influence to get the 100k. And my static I mean they where basically parked at the FS. Now, here is a point I didn't make in the opening post: When I started to play on SV I joined some existing Guilds. This was the 1ST time that I had seen the stupid 28 day lockout on the GB. I even pinged the GM about it and he/she eventually replied and said the GM had no control over the lockout - yet he/she was sending out daily request for members to make contributions... and suggested just to send him/her my donation. HOLD THE PHONE SHERLOCK! The IMPORTANT points here are these: 1) A new guild regardless of its financial situation or size cannot function correctly and 'as expected' and 'as designed' with that lockout in place. 2) Access control for the GB should never have been taken away from the GM. EABS have no logical reason the dictate GB access - except for one minuscule reason - they were trying to block people from 'trading' via the GB MOST guilds have a restriction that applies to new members that prevents them from withdrawing anything while on the entry rank.. This kind of pitiful effort to make a small dent in controlling the 'economy' is completely pointless and shows how easily Devs make changes without considering the wider impact. Any GM that does not know how to lockdown the GB or to set reasonable limits according to ranks - they would have been better off providing a 'getting started' guide for GM's... 3) The GB system is designed for Full-Disclosure. Its that simple. Now, there is some ridiculous expectation that new Guild members can 'mail' there donations - yeh right - pay the fee and there is NO RECORD of there contribution. 4) The GB lockout is not so much a pain for small guilds - its a pain for anyone that has played for 12 years - been in a started quite a few Guilds. 5) EABS could have achieved their trade restriction with a simple 1 day lockout. That would be believable...
  9. Some of you may not know, but the personal conquest requirement used to be 50k. Those were great days for small guilds. Providing that the small number of members each handed in their Flagship Plans it was possible to get the FS unlocked in a timeframes that was less than a year instead of several years. I was personally able to easily get between 20 to 30 characters over the mark each week. We ended up getting our Essence Guild FS on SS fully perked up. Then I started on our Dark Essence FS. BULLET NUMBER 1 Unfortunately around the same time they moved the personal CQ requirement up to 100k. I was devastated!! Based on the time it took to get our Pub FS perked, it was going to take at least double (about 2 years) - if not more due to the fact that many members simply didn't play enough to get to 100k. As it was many drooped off and didn't play and the number of active players dwindled. It was a big hit for all small guilds.. BULLET NUMBER 2 Now, they have messed with the only way we could have static characters that we could get over the mark easily each week. 2 times reputation and 1 times companion influence - that was just enough to get 100k (with the bonuses unlocked) Now, its a hopeless case. Small guilds will NEVER be able to acquire enough Flagship plans to unlock anything. Remember - it takes 250 plans just to unlock the foyer to the command rooms. The another 200 each room. Do the math. And with the restriction on credits for transfers to SV there's certainly is no hope to buy them. Is EABS going to pay for all the funerals?
  10. You weren't aware of that because it isn't true. Your not exactly correct either. 'Bound' is not the right way to look at it - but 'owned by' with the capability of full control is more the case. I have to ask - have you ever deleted a Guild Master? Maybe there is an actual glitch that your not aware of. This game has many bugs - and that could just as well be another one that's not been documented.. I'm certainly not going to try and test it - not on SV...
  11. This 100% correct (unfortunately) and yet another revenue bucket for EABS! I pinged support of this as I noticed some discrepancies with my SH's (I have 3 accounts where I have transferred chars) Its seems this not only applies to Strongholds but also to Legacy bank tabs... If you unlocked your Legacy tabs with credits - its a big negatory... You have to spend credits again (from the measly 15 mil) I actually transferred one more with the last CC's on my 2nd account just to fund the SH unlocks. 2.5mil, 2,5mil, 2.5mil and 4mil - the 2 capitol worlds are dead cheap anyways. Good news is - all rooms unlocked so we don't have to spend credits to unlock each room again - instant 150% CQ bonus...
  12. Which is exactly the point.. their attempt to control the economy has failed - therefore restricting the amount of credits we could bring over was a complete waste of time. What's gunna happen when they CAN SV and send us all back to SS or SF? (credit less more or less)
  13. Well, it look like perseverance pays off. In my anger and frustration at support 's 1st response, I transferred 15 characters with CC (seems like all subbs get the first one free anyway) and drained the last of my real money to nearly zip. I also opened a 2nd ticket and 'clearly' explained the situation with emphasis on these details: 1) Founding APAC player with virtually continuing subb since early release 2) I was on the 180 day recurring sub and missed the resubscription due to being just short on the required funds in my account ( on March 10th ) 3) I had recently been buying CC to purchase cartel Crates They have refunded the CC I spent and asked my to provide one more character name so they can transfer it for me. My faith has been restored Now I just hope they revert the stupid changes to the gear rewards fir LVL80 chars - we don't need that daft cosmetic crap - we need gear that we can at least deconstruct. I've previously said that about the Odessan gear sets - when we get duplicates all you can do is toss them...
  14. I'd hardly call 15million too many credits - considering how easy it is to burn through credits just on mission skills (some of us have crafting toons that need to be funded) I started a BH from scratch and worked at getting all 3 skills to 700 - you do realize how much that costs? The problem is fundamental - greed that's cast down by the company pays off onto 'some' players. They smell a dollar so they ask for ten. BS tried to control something that they cannot and now its backlash time.. I'm starting to think there are some that only play the GTN and don't really bother playing the game...
  15. Just parsed a bunch of priced on other important material items, its already starting to look like SF at least. What a joke!! Makes it worse that I have to transfer 40 odd characters with CC. 12 years sub for what...
