  1. Wow has been successful for a long time by catering to the casuals. Its decline whether perceived or actual is only natural after being around for so long. This game has more issues than just the difficulty of raiding though. There are many reasons why people quit any game, and for you to speak for everyone seems pretty arrogant. Even though there is more money to be made by catering to casuals, who make up the largest percentage of players, I do believe that there has to be a balance. If the game is completely easy, then even casuals will not feel a sense of accomplishment upon winning. Content is completed too fast, and Bioware shoots themselves in the foot by having to come out with content at a frantic pace to keep everyone from becoming bored. This game needs more difficult encounters, especially in hard mode and nightmare. TBH, I think both terms are a joke Very few mechanics actually change with difficulty, and it's just basically a gear check if anything to beat enrage timers. The whole point of being able to change difficulty is catering to both casuals and hardcore raiders. So I probably agree with some of the things you have said, but honestly that need to take a long hard talk crap is pretty stupid.
  2. There's more money in letting everyone win than forcing people to compete and better themselves. That's the bottom line.
  3. There haven't been any major class balance changes in a patch for a while. This must mean that the classes are balanced pretty well.
  4. Well what classes have as many match changing tools as these? Sprint, AOE knockback, bubble that absorbs damage, and furthmore can be talented with a stun on finish, teammate pull, a long stun, Whirlwind (cc that breaks on damage that can be talented to instant cast), These are above any beyond and damage and healing that they can do. This is raw utility, and cannot be disregarded as insignificant. I don't think that Sorc/Sage damage is over the top, but the amount of escape tools and utility that they have is really overwhelming, especially in a match like huttball where the geography and hazards favors them. I have a level 50 sorc btw, and I think it is in the best interests of any game for each class to be balanced with each other. When any class is above the average, an attempt should be made to bring them in line to close levels.
  5. Do they have too many tools in pvp? Are they too hard to kill? Do they add too much to a huttball match? What are your thoughts?
  6. If a game with balanced PvP is the goal, then any class that is above average is overpowered. With the amount of utility the OP mentioned, I find it hard to believe that anyone can say with a straight face that sorcs/sages are not above average. There may be other classes that deserve a nerf, and there may be other classes that deserve buffs. The object is for things to be even. If you just let sorcs/sages keep everything they have as far as utility goes, then you are setting the bar to ridiculous levels for all the underpowered classes to be buffed to. Every spec doesn't have to perform well, but each class should have a few top specs that perform similarly to the other classes top specs. That's not the case right now, and balancing needs to be done. PvP balance is key to the success of any game that wants to keep a PvP oriented player base. PS: Just because another class is OP, that doesn't justify a different class into being OP as well. Two wrongs don't make a right.
  7. Please add a better LFG system soon. The longer you wait, the more players that will quit. This is not an opinion. This is a fact. I know of people who have quit already and this is a major issue. What good are fancy new flashpoints that require 4 people to finish if there is no good system to get those 4 people together? Players want to enjoy your game. Players want to feel like their time spent here is worth it. Some players are able to make due, but a lot can't. Every one of those players who can't is a customer that you are fighting to keep. I am one of them.
  8. When you do a normal mode operation and kill a boss, the drops are randomly distributed to players that can use them. Now lets assume that you had some people who were over geared for the place, but wanted to help out some players who needed the gear. Does leaving the ops group during a fight make you ineligible to obtain loot? If so, you could fight a boss and before it died, players could "pass" on loot by dropping group.
  9. So you rolled an advanced class that is one of the lowest population, but there are so many mercs that there is an abundance of bounty hunters in groups. Does that bother you?
  10. Even as part of a large guild it is still demoralizing trying to put together a flashpoint group. I find it harder and harder to stay logged in unless a raid is scheduled. The PVP queues are getting to be a bit slow as well, and Ilum is hit and miss, with mostly miss, for action.
  11. If you didn't min/max it's your fault. Don't be lazy. We all know it wasn't intended by the devs to take up a skill, use it to create the armor, and drop it for a new one. The fact remains that is in the game, and if you don't do it you are purposely putting yourself behind. There is no such thing as an exploit. If its in the code, it's part of the game.
  12. How do I make it so I say "lol" everytime I cast tracer missile? I looked all around the menus and I couldn't find how to do it.
  13. What about if they changed it so that if you took damage while incapacitated, it filled up extra, and possibly broke the CC early if enough damage was taken.
