Hello,
I’m a new imperial agent who serve the mighty Empire and clean up all the mess that the Sith do all around the universe.
I would like to follow the Medicine specialization but I have some doubts about it so I hope that other agents could help me to decide the way to go.
Speaking about a flashpoint / operational level (the PVE solo content could be pursued wwith virtually any build) I see three objectives to get:
Main objectives:
a) maximizing healing output
b) maximing energy regeneration (to sustain virtually indefinitely in boss fight)
Support objective
c) dps support for dps race (tipical in several bosses in MMO)
On my way I figure out 2 build to analyze and compare:
Full healing build

All the medicine tree to get the Nanotech plus the healing boost of the two other trees; not much to say about this way. Solid healing, better burst healing and aoe hot on the cake.
Limited in energy restoration so a burst healing could cripple my energy regeneration. Nowadays I’m at 24 level and in flashpoint healing I have some energy problem (for example healing the boarding party in Mandalorian)
No dps addon for pve / pvp / bosses
Critical refiller build
http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#401MffbzG0ozZZGbbkrMb.1
(could change 2 medical therapy vs 2 lethal dose)
Basically I think that Nanotech have a big energy cost (30 is a lot of energy) and the tier 6 of Medicine tree is very underpowered.
So I limited the medicine to the Instant heal + Instant heal bolstering and add some very interesting features of the Lethality tree:
a) combat stim (a big energy refiller)
b) dot critical regenerates energy
c) some survavibility with the debilitate upgrading
Have to see if it is better 2x medical therapy (with bolster surgical) or 2x lethal dose which bolster critical of the probes (and as side effect the dot)
This buold gets a lot of energy regeneration (from combat stims and dot) so could burst healing more freely on single target but at the price of Nanotech and some boost at outcome healing. Is it worthy?
I would like to receive any feedback about these builds so I could learn from other experience
I have another question: the surge stat is only about damage or is useful for healing too?
Thanks all
