  1. I'm a true fan of role playing games. I love the role playing aspect of MMOs too, which is one reason I like SWTOR so much. About my only complaint with SWTOR is the way it forces you to have companions you don't want. Becoming a Legendary Player was one of my most proud achievements. Then starting KOTET for the first time only after finishing all 8 class stories (some multiple times!) I was hit once again with this feeling of "Why can my murderous sith character not kill a companion that A. Has displayed dismal incompetence and failed multiple times B. Has been suckered and tricked by my enemies multiple times C. Has even betrayed me on at least one occasion My character has murdered DOZENS of people for lesser reasons than these. Murders actually written into the story by the Devs. Yet a companion who is the ultimate candidate for murder is foisted on me with no recourse? It was bad enough when I had to endure the humiliation of being utterly betrayed by Malavai Quinn without being able to murder him for it. Now Beniko deserves it many times over. I've lost count of how many people you kill for failure and incompetence... but somehow not Lana. IT MAKES NO SENSE! Lana Beniko deserves to die. It's the Sith way that the game gave us for 50 levels.
  2. The gal who played Catherine in National Lampoon and was in Suburgatory, all I can find with Google-fu is that she was responsible for "other voices". Anyone know which voices? S
  3. LOL! Me and 1.3 million others gladly and happily pay a sub for all the grestness that SW:TOR has in it already, regardless of the trifling issues it has. Those things are mostly insignificant in the big picture. I played my sith warrior to 50 and loved it. I played warzones and loved it. Yes, there were some problems along the way, but compared to the fun I had, they were pretty insignificant. I'll be happy if the issues get fixed, but it probably won't reduce my fun compared to the cost of it.

  5. I agree with hippie chic. I'm over 40 years old and have been playing online games since before Everquest and MMOs even existed (remember MUD and MUSH?) and have played I think 20 something MMO games in that time, but only SW:TOR has engaged me and made me want to play more to see the end of the story, not just to see a maxed number over my toon. I do have a 50 but when I saw a completely blank missions screen for the first time it was a sobering moment. Now I've started trying out other classes, and it's almost a whole new game.
  6. After more testing, it seems the actual change was that they took away the ability to use the "all" search category. Perhaps there is more subtlety to the requirement to select a rarity level than I realized, but if I made the mistake, it's no stretch to imagine that others will as well.
  7. This is pretty fail guys. GTN shoppers don't care what the rarity level of an item is, they only care about it's stats. Making it so you can only search by rarity level only makes searching more frustrating. Now you must search each rarity level one by one, and compare to items that are not on the screen anymore because they are a different rarity level. For example: I notice my helmet is a bit behind the stat curve as I level. I decide to check the GTN for a new helmet. I open and select Heavy Armor, and now I must select a rarity level or the Search button remains grayed out. So I select a rarity level, and I begin pondering... 1. Does the best item for me at this level and with the stats I want belong to a particular rarity? 2. What if I want to compare an item of one rarity to a similar item of another rarity? ...and I'm sure there's more. I have a hard time believeing this made it past playtests without some complaints. It's a bad idea.
  8. I originally thought the same as the OP here. But, I have noticed lately that while occasionally a Mara will pwn my lvl 47 Jug, it's only once in a while, which leads me to believe that I may have overestimated their power due to a few very good players, instead of an overpowered class. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for Agents. They were and still are dominating Warzones. I posted a couple weeks ago that Mara and Agent need nerfs. I still believe that agents seriously need a nerf. As I said before, almost every warzone is made up of 6-7 agents, who almost always do the most total damage of any class in the match. Now I'm not against the ide of some classes being more DPS than others, but agents just dominate warzone matches where it's dark side vs dark side. It's sickening when an agent less than half my level has all the skills he needs to kill my tank. Nerf-time!
  9. How about Neutral Relics? It takes some effort to stick to dark side choices, as it does to stick to light side choices. But what may not be as apparent is that it takes the same amount of effort to choose BOTH light and dark side options and remain neutral. This effort could be rewarded just as the light and dark choices are with neutral relics. Instead of based on dark side points or light side points, it could be based on total faction points, with the "Must not be Dark I" and "Must not be Light I" requirements.
  10. I for one was caught unaware by the sudden end of the event. I forget, was there any in-game news that the plague was becomming under control, or anything like that which would warn players to hurry up? Anyway I really wanted to get one of those nice rewards but on the day I hit 60 DNA samples the event had ended. I don't know about all the flaming trolls on this thread grandstanding for their personal agenda, I just would like another chance to make it to the vendor.
  11. Has the design team considered taking submissions from the player base on designs for new warzones, planets, quests, companions, classes etc? Maybe a contest open to all active subscribers to design the next warzone or determine the next playable race?
  12. First of all yes I'm talking about warzones. Granted, I play on a pve server and pvp gameplay is not that important to me overall, but it's there so I play it. The fact is that it's fun and challenging, even if some tweaking could make it better. I guess I don't like the idea of upsetting a bunch of people by calling for a nerf, byt plese keep a couple things in mind when I say this: 1. This only seems like an issue in empire vs empire matches. The republic counterpart to the operative doesn't seem to totally dominate the scoreboard like the operatives do in empire vs empire matches. Maybe not as many lightsiders like the idea of that play style... cause I figure the two classes must be real similar if not identical. 2. When I get killed by another player, I don't go all epeen and cry about it. But when the top third or half of the scoreboard is all one or two classes, that does seem to indicate an imbalance somewhere. Next warzone just look and see how many ops and marauders there are in the top half at the end. 3. When a 41 marauder can solo 4 enemies in a warzone including me, a 42 jug, right in pur goal area in huttball... that just makes the game a bit less fun. The guy even had time to type /farewell before each kill. No joke, that's just wildly ocerpowered
  13. In every warzone I play where it's Dark vs Dark, the team that wins is the one with the most Operatives and Marauders. Not even Mercenaries seem to match a marauder's damage, and nobody has as many perfect stuns/mezz/whatever as operatives. When a teen Op can pwn a 30's tank, maybe a player needs some education... but when the top 10 players are almost always majority operatives and marauders... something is out of balance.
  14. I noticed the same problem. Gonna try this fix tonight.
  15. YES! This is exactly the sort of undeserved feeling of entitlement I have come to expect of the softer new generations raised on the total lie of "everyone is a winner". BTW - my highest toon is lvl40.
