  1. Hey guys! We finally did it. Though, it wasn't 16 man, which we would have liked, we finally killed Warlord Kephess on HM. We stalled on Tanks for a couple weeks but all-in-all, we're very proud. Props to Bioware for a well tuned fight that uses engaging RNG. Maybe I'll keep my sub.
  2. Let's get a show of people who are prepared for seeing the 8 man mechanics. You know who you are. The guilds that have been setting up events in Outlaws Den and Ilum. I want to see a show of hands from people who have been involved in an 8v8 scenario. Many people here are still banking on warzones acting the same as they do now: they will not. Example: Knight uses Awe in a group of five. The Sorcerer and the Operative die before the stun wears off. There will be teams who are so coordinate and spot on that you will never even have the chance to see their healer, let alone DPS him. There will be Tank/healer combos that can fend off four and five people while they wait for their team to assist them in defending a node. There will be teams who three cap you and teams where no one dies. PvP is about to get serious and only about 5% of us are ready.
  3. Hi fellow SotE member. You bring shame to my server. I'll be looking for you.
  4. If I can get my back to a wall, Snipers don't stand a chance. I worry about tanks because of all my white damage. Forego accuracy and stack Crit/Surge/Power to nuke down DPS and Heals while I keep tanks pinned down.
  5. As an Infiltration Shadow, in partial War Hero, against a freshly geared PvE 50, I can get a 5k spinning strike. Nothing in my arsenal can hit that hard. Two Clairvoyance Strikes net me roughly 2k damage then a Shadow Strike for 3.5k, then Project doubled with Force Potency with an Upheaval proc will grant me 4k(Unmitigated by shield), then assuming I have a 3 stack of Exit Strategy, my Internal damage Force Breach will hit for 4k(unmitigated completely). There are no more 9k crits in the game.
  6. Maybe near those fancy combat dummies that were recently added to the Gav. And, I guess the Imperial equal.
  7. I was having some trouble with my group yesterday, and just a few tips for any groups planning on trying it in the future I'd like to give you some tips. Have Rakata gear. Interrupt Incinerate immediately. It ticks for 5k, is channeled targeted AoE and stacks and leaves a DoT. It is the killer outside of poor positioning. Stack up the group to control the position of the growing AoEs. Position yourselves around the far edges that are not near that Test Tube (Add spawn area) so that the AoEs drop outside the grate area. Don't let an AoE drop on the middle platform. Kite him around the solid parts and don't get caught stepping over a lava grate when it's proccing. Hope I can save a few people some Wipes. He's no joke.
  8. I'd just like to say farewell to all of you leaving for Guild Wars 2 and Tera. I hope you enjoy the refreshing and mesmerizing game-play and deeply rewarding combat. I hope that you take your friends and spend your time gleefully murdering your opponents. Because when you get bored of that just like you got bored of this, you'll come back, and I'll be waiting for you in cross-server queues with my War Hero gear and my eight man composition.
  9. It's implemented to prevent PvE players from "time-grinding" in Warzones so they can deck out PvE gear quickly and easily by themselves. Also, go buy some War Hero gear. BM is obsolete.
  10. Imp healers: Single lightsabers held low while wearing a dress. Many cast bars. Two guns that glow green. Some cast bars. Operatives are the hardest to spot. Very very subtle animations with a class that has a common silhouette. Just know what operatives are and what they look like. Cast bars rarely give away operative healers.
  11. This. All of it. I have never once seen an instance of broken resolve in PvP. I get knocked back by some things while I have resilience up in PvE but that's not the point. The point is that Resolve is a functioning system that works properly and was well designed.
  12. I found this bit of satire comedic. Tab targeting sucks. And, so do most players. Group up and focus fire.
  13. This system works because after four medals you are forced to focus on the match. You can't swoop in, grab four medals then leave because you won't get credit. Your medals are your own that you earned, so you should receive credit for those specific medals regardless of win or loss. You get separate credit for winning/losing. It's impossible to farm for medals when actually playing a match for two minutes will allot you roughly five medals, and only four count. This system is brilliant and credit-for-win scenarios is a horrid system for a game where premades for eight man scenarios are only four men deep. Just grinding Valor and Creds until 1.2
