  1. Hi folks, I'll keep it brief. Not sure what the active guilds are in the list or even how active the server is these days, but I'm on the look out for a guild. Only returned to the game this week and Im still bouncing around my alts deciding who to run with. Currently between: 50 Seer 45 Sentinel 14 Gunslinger Or even if I use the 60 new character (as I never let my sub go). All alts have bags full of stuff I can no longer remember what they are and companions I need to reengage with. Yes, Im so far lost in the game it going to take some catching up. So, ideally I'm looking for a guild who: - Doesnt mind that I might run sideways and keep asking "whats this for again" - Understands that I'm really a casual player and may be on every night for a week and then off for a week - Doesnt mind that I have grey hair, 3 kids, wife and dog to entertain - light to medium RP I usually get in to raiding etc but often as a reserve as I cant commit to regular slots. Last time round I enjoyed healing but I need to see if I can pick up my Seer and level her without feeling too lost. Thanks,
  2. Shame the site doesn't seem to allow access to read about the guild. I'm on the lookout for something as a returning player but would like to read up on a guild in detail before applying or not?
  3. I agree where most are coming from here. I played wow since the start. It didnt really have any competition then. While WoW had numerous problems at launch, it was way ahead of EQ and DAOC etc. Its successful model and genre attracted new MMO players as well as those from other titles. For most people in Wow, it was likely their first MMO. Jump to SWTOR and I do think the player base is less patient. Any new MMO has to compete with a polished WoW. I have really enjoyed SWTOR. Deep down I think I wanted it to be SWG but never the less I enjoyed the story driven process. That said, looking back it was more like playing a single player campaign. I hit 50 and started over and now have a L43. This time around its near impossible to find groups while levelling. But WoW had this problem as well. It introduced cross-server dungeons (where you could enter the dungeon from the spot). DDO has a nice option, in facvt I think one of the best options of any MMO. you can do all content but it has different difficulty levels. you can do solo, group, hard group and raid. So anyone can see all content and gear is scaled. The changes 1.2 brought were needed. The quality of release and the quality of changes in 1.2 are much higher than what was at the start of WoW. However, still way behind where wow is now and that is only to be expected. SWTOR can survive, it has a good enough genre and loyal player base to do so. But, it needs to listen. My fear is that with EA its all about the money more than the desire for the game to do well. I'm not leaving the game, but I have found Im putting less time in.
  4. Never heard of the guild, but no reason I would have. Many have made some good constructive comments. As to the OP question, I assume its largely as they were a PVP focussed guild and this is not a PVP focussed game. I do also have my concerns about it though. I cant really put my finger on it. I have a L50 healer but when I hit 50, I struggled to get into any further content so I levelled a tank. She is now L43. I logged in today, my first time since 1.2 came due to being away. I was looking forward to it but now sit here disappointed. I thought Id do my legacy and then find I need to log in to each character individually to do this. Just seems a very clunky way to handle it. No big deal though. I then notice the pop on Voss was 12. 12 people in a whole zone while levelling. That ruled the Heroics out. My guild is quiet now, only 3 people online including me. dont get me wrong, I like some of the things 1.2 has brought. UI tweaks are nice for example. But these cosmetic changes havent tackled the bigger issues I feel. Population balance, the place should feel populated. Its a MMO not a MMMO (marginally massive multiplayer) but it feels deserted, while levelling at least. Then yes it is linear. But you know that gave it a fantastic levelling experience. I would have liked more choice in the route I took and not to feel it was laid out in front of me so obviously. In a way, it is as if you have a story to play through but once that is done, thats it for you. I do have a Sith now and the different content is making it a little fresher for me but I really am starting to fade. Its almost like I hoped it would be SWG again but alas not. I'm not giving up my sub, Im just clinging on to the hope that EA are as passionate about the game as some of the player base are. If it is just "another game" to them and will be cut off unless it is in the black, then sadly I fear for it. With things like GW2 coming and then another WoW expansion on the horizon, they really need to create some hooks to keep people here. My fingers are crossed.
  5. I'm glad its done in waves. Can you imagine the chaos of the starter areas if they just opened the flood gates?
  6. Pre Order 07.27.11 - Nothing yet. F5 F5 F5 ... still nothing. F5 F5 ... nope... F5....
  7. Yep sure enough our guild deployment has been allocated to that server as well.
