  1. Maybe we shouldn't allow new players to enter flashpoints until level 20, I hear you can't really get a handle on your class at 10 anyway... They're trying to appeal to new players. The point is not that the new bracket will help queue times (although it might - in the lower bracket), but that it will stop fresh recruits from getting rolled by 40+ vets over and over. The game is f2p. People will download it on an impulse, but once they're in BW has got to hook them fast. That means being able to try out more content and different styles of gameplay to appeal to a wider denomination as fast as possible. Why do you think they gave us sprint at level one? We're dealing w/ the instant gratification generation here (as shown when you suggested we get all our key skills upfront). Even WoW lowered the bg entrance requirements to please the masses and try to hook new players. Also, do you really want to stick lvl 20's with fully decked out lvl 50's? Sure, a lot of them will be lvling up, but for months there will be an influx of "twink"-geared characters mowing down newbies.
  2. Heh, when news of this game going f2p hit I pretty much just chalked up the CE edition as a loss and braced for impact XD ...Now that the future looks a bit less bleak, I can start hoping again Honestly, I'd take a reskinned anything so long as it's unique. Really want my Republic toons decked out in something as cool as the Imperial Trooper set. Something with a hood for the less-meat-shield-inclined would be nice.
  3. meh... I leveled with her as an OP so it was much easier to keep her up, but it wasn't really expensive to keep her feeling tanky. Just buy a cheap orange set (the slave girl one only costs like 1,500 credits total). Then go Cybertech and keep her slotted with blue plating and mods at your level, using commendations for the enhancements and she's downright scary. I kept her in dps mode unless I was soloing heroic quests and she was killing mobs faster than I was.
  4. meh... still beats the trooper ship. And it does look like it was partly inspired by Boba Fetts's ship.
  5. meh... the male inquisitor has the same problem - and if there was a class that was slated to romance npcs with it was this one. You can literally flirt with the first npc you talk to, you've got like the only good-looking female mentor in the game (until, well... n/m spoilers), and the male voice actor is one of the younger ones. Yet, your one and only romance option is Ashara Zavros, whom almost no one bothers to use except for the novelty. Dps is arguably worse than your ranged option, she can't tank so not preferred for Sorc Heals or Sin Dps, and can't heal so not preferred for Sin Tanks or Sorc Dps. Aaaand she's annoying as hell even if you do go lightside to please her. Yes, you can still accomplish the romance option, but I think most of the enjoyment in these things comes from actively having the companion by your side and making comments on the decisions you choose in conversations throughout the world. So, yeah -.-
  6. Awesome... Gonna have to remember that one OT, one bad experience doesn't need to result in a game-changer. Forget them, how did you feel healing. If you liked the style, just wait 'till you're higher and get more toys. If it didn't click, try a diff class - all the healers have relatively different mechanics that you may find easier or more enjoyable.
  7. Hope not... It will simply lead to the death of hybrids that happened in WoW. Folks will be placed in set rolls, and even if you have the ability to debuff, offtank/offheal, etc. they won't bother, solely focusing on dps to boost their place on the meters. Then, eventually Bioware will get it in their heads that people don't want those roles and for balance reasons they'll fix the talent builds so that you have to max out one tree before branching out (just like Blizzard did) and then people will be complaining for different reasons. It's not broken, don't jack it up for the rest of us because you feel uncomfortable not having something that was in another game people are clearly burnt out from.
  8. Jugs are hella fun in huttball. I once saw an enemy 1 run off the platform near our entrance, which never happens because you can't reach endzone, then force leap to one of our guys just coming out of the base, knocked him off the ledge, then casually strolled to through the endzone. Everyone just stopped and couldn't believe it really happened ...but yeah, in pvp your job is not to dps but to annoy. Protect, interrupt, leap from enemy to enemy, lock down the healer, etc. just don't expect to be leading the dmg charts.
  9. The hutt receptionist from the bounty hunter storyline I'm loving the imperial storyline... Like the one in Nar Shadaa that starts, "Oh yeah, we just sent in like a thousand men and ten thousand droids- but now that you're here, we've got this in the bag."
  10. If I ever join your server I'll always be apprised of when world pvp is happening
