  1. But for an application of the sorts, here you go. Your most skilled classes on pub side: Tk'too-stronk. 26.4k health now after bolster. Over 1200 expertise on the fleet. Number one sage in the world. Will carry everyone unless you are a member of Coruscant ***************. Average dps / hps / protection in games (screenshots help a lot here): 2k/1k/1k. Sages protect too. We are Jedi afterall. Previous guilds: Little Baby's Ice Cream, Milfs Mullets and Monster Trucks, JIVE Ranked experience: 4 toons with over 2400 rating in preseason one. 6 toons with over 1500 in season one. But I mean come on, who didn't. 1500 is /lols. If you couldn't hit at least 2k then you're bad. Don't care the server. Time spent PvPing per day and timeslots you are usually online: All day erry day. One fact on PvP mechanics you think is little known: Sniper and mauler spawns at 12:26 and rockets spawn at 11:56. Sniper has a 2 minute 34 second cooldown and rockets have a 3 minute 4 second cooldown. You can dirty them by picking them up before they drop and moving. The cooldown timer will start when you have stood still for 2 full seconds. Net worth (everyone will be expected to pitch in for a guild ship, nothing extravagant, but if we all pitch in a little we can expect to get a decent PvP ship): max ranked comms and 10 saved up enhancements. No creds. And if I did have them, I won't soon.
  2. Don't know how to say this other than you're just wrong. Pvp weapons with expertise crystals are BiS after 2.7. You are not doing the math right when you calculate the difference between 41 power and 41 expertise. Expertise is way better. 41 times 0.23 = 9.43 *1.05 for warrior buff = 9.9015. Making the incorrect assumption that bonus damage is all that matters and using 900 mainhand bonus damage and 1500 force/tech bonus damage as a baseline, we have 1.1 percent and 0.6601 percent increase respectively. The problem here is that bonus damage does not correlate one to one to percent damage. All attacks have a base damage and a bonus damage multiplier. So unless every single one of your attacks has a fairly high multiplier, you won't be seeing an increase in damage from power crystals while simultaneously becoming cannon fodder for your team once the other team sees you light up like the fourth of July.
  3. The past few days, occasionally I will get a bug that causes me to not be able to easily target people. I can tab target to people and I will see them as my target, but they will have no buffs. After I tab target them, I can click them in game and buffs will appear and then I can target them normally. I cannot click people and target them without first tab targeting though. This has happened 3 times in the last 2 days and makes the game almost unplayable since I mostly play a tank and have to swap targets a lot. To reiterate, the current work around for the bug is as follows 1) tab target 2) click on the character in game 3) able to target This must be repeated every time I swap target. If I do not click them, I can not see any buffs or debuffs and I am unable to hit them. I then either get a message that says target out of range or target not enemy.
  4. Do you even play this game? Seriously goddamn. You tested a concealment op vs leth sniper! Ffs gg bioware. Read the tooltip in the concealment tree. It is supposed to proc evasion which PURGES DOTS! Sniper doesn't get this so why did you test vs them? Explains why you guys can't keep a competent PvP community to save your life. You aren't even competent yourself. Concealment will literally be unplayable if this bug stays and HS has no knockdown. You ****s even buffed sin knockdown after people made dumb arguments for why it stayed. Epic fail.
  5. More general tips Tanks - 1) GUARD SWAP. There is no point in you queueing as a tank if you aren't going to be an actual tank. If you are actually tank spec, that means you are a wet noodle unless you're darkness in dps gear in which case you're just a dps with guard and would do better if you were http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#200rcrodbMZfrMRzGbRb.3 Be careful though as that is almost on the level of hybrid heals sorc. Since I don't see many people who can handle a complicated 4 button spec with guard swapping, cc, and STAYING ALIVE, it isn't quite on there yet. 2) Guard still works if you don't have a healer on your team. If you have any ranged class on your team who manages to get out of bed every morning to brush their teeth, chances are they will do more damage than you if you keep them alive. Same with just about every other class. Don't be the tank who says, if I'm not getting heals, I'm not guarding. Your defensive cooldowns are better than everyone else's except probably marauders right now so be a meat shield. If you don't want to melt, be sure to stay out of aoe's. This means don't ask the sorc on your team if he is hybrid heals. Just guard him. 3) Be on top of interrupts and cc's. Chances are your dps are in tunnel mode and won't notice the sorcerer dps hard casting dark heal like a boss to save their operative. DPS 1) Learn to switch targets. If the other team has 2 of anything that is not a marauder or a tank, you can probably do well by constantly mezzing the other team's tank and swapping targets when the tank swaps guard. 2) Watch the enemy's defensive cooldowns. Don't keep attacking the powertech that has kolto overload running if your team has zero burst. You probably will be wasting time. And learn to know what saber reflect looks like on the buff bar when you are killing the juggernaut. 3) Prioritize targets. Healers aren't always the best choice. In fact, in a normal composition, healers usually are not the best choice. Many times you'll do much better if you just keep mezzing the healer and killing everything else. If you convince your team to do this and you are ranged, it helps to focus target the healer and use your focus target modifier for interrupts. 4) MOST IMPORTANTLY, STAY ALIVE. You're useless dead and 9 times out of 10 teams don't come back from a 3 v 4. Save that time when me and Dolce had a sorc who like to run in and cast dark heal and dark infusion in one spot like Dru casting force storm until he couldn't anymore. That one was actually pretty much a 2 v 4. If you are opened on by several stealthers and your team isn't going to help you, you probably need to break and cybertech grenade asap. (You do have a cybertech grenade right?) Heals 1) Heal 2) Stay Alive 3) Use your interrupts. They are off the gcd and as long as you don't have your face glued to the ops frame, it is pretty easy to see someone casting when you are healing. 4) Actually damage something. If you leave an arena as a healer with 0 damage, you did something wrong. Even your 4 second stun does damage, so if you didn't do damage, that means that you didn't join in on your team roflstomping the other team, or you didn't bother to stun a person on the other team to save your life even one time. Which leads to the next part. 5) CC. - See #2 General - 1) Unless you know the person, assume they are bad. If you do know them, you do not have to make this assumption cause you probably know they are bad. This late in the season people are scrambling to get 1500 and they probably won't make it. But gosh darn they are going to try and they are going to bring you down in the process. You will probably need to tell them what you are going to do and give them some guidance. Usually it is best to have Randy cc right off the start so that they remember they have them. You can save yours for when they are actually needed. 2) Yolo is a stupid saying and usually a bad way to play in solos. The exception is when your team has 0 forms of heals and the other team has some. Then waiting is bad. You need to rush and hope you kill something. 3) If the other team has a dps op, dps juggernaut, sniper, lightning sorc, arsenal merc, or pyro PT. You'll probably do better just mezzing the healer and tunneling the dps in the ground. 4) Stay Alive. Not sure if I've said that yet. 4) If you're going to be afk when the warzone starts, at least come back with a sandwich. 5) Ask Bioware to add voice comm for solos so you don't have to read this and I can just yell at you instead.
  6. For more in depth analysis of what you should do before queueing solo ranked regarding spec Sorcerer - If you are not absolutely certain there are tanks with brains queueing, do not queue corruption. Even then, if you are not the best sorcerer healer you will probably still lose. If you are the best sorc healer, maybe you go slightly above 500. If there are no other tanks and few healer, you can do well as madness sorcerer. If you are queueing lightning, be prepared to likely be the reason your team loses. If you are playing some form of healing hybrid, kill yourself. Assassin - If you go higher than the 3rd tier in the madness tree, you're doing it wrong. Deception can do okay. Hybrid sin is OP as ****. Darkness is squish. Whatever you do, learn to cc a lot. Low slash is your friend. Sniper - Play something else until 2.7 unless you want to pound your head against the wall like Devil did. Operative - If you are a healer, learn how to cc, survive, and throw in burst when your team is close to getting a kill. This will be what sets you apart from other healers. Flashbang is ridiculous and explosive probe hits like a damn train even for a healer. If you are lethality, you'll probably die before you come close to setting up any kind of burst. Hope the other team doesn't have healers. If you are concealment, burst and run. You will die if someone looks at you funny. Marauder - Smash while you still can. Only run carnage if you think there are a lot of tanks going. Gore smash is also fun when there are a lot of tanks. Particularly jugg tanks. Juggernaut - Either queue full tank and sit in queue for hours, or queue vengeance and be ready to go into tank stance any time there is someone who can cast any form of heals or off heals (DPS operatives don't count. They don't have offheals even though Bioware thinks they do.) If you are smash, you will be smashed. DO NOT BE JUGG SMASH Mercenary - Merc healers are on the verge of being viable. And that is their downfall. If you are not exceptional, please queue as dps instead. Arsenal will likely get shutdown, but you can do okay if you get some burst off. Be prepared to be frustrated as you get a handful of tracer missiles off while the marauder sits on you. As pyro, you can actually do pretty decent in solos. You have dots and pretty good burst. Most importantly, as either dps spec, know how to run. Very fast. And kolto missile a lot. Powertech. If you are lucky enough to have rolled this class, you can do well as any spec. Shield tech is solid if you want to wait in queue for another tank to queue. AP has the advantage of being able to semi function in tank cylinder. You can even start in dps stance and build flamethrower charges then swap to tank stance and keep them. Similar to a sin's double discharge. For pyro, you are squish. Burst something fast and stay out of melee range of the smasher if they aren't targeting you. Most attacks are 10 meters so use that to your advantage. Yes it sucks sometimes not being able to play a spec or class you enjoy in order to succeed, but unless you enjoy a fight against the odds challenge, just don't give a damn, or you are actually good (In which case 1500 is lols. Why didn't you get it faster. Seriously though, you only need a 60 percent win rate or so to get it in about 100 games or so. Can probably be faster depending on streaks), then you'll likely want to conform in order to do well. Whatever you do, don't rage. It is just a game. A dying one at that. Have fun while you can.
  7. If we lose, oh well we had a concealment op. Should happen every time. If we win, the other team is just bad. Period. Be it compwise or skillwise. Must have a semi competent tank in the group or we are literally hopeless. I know that probably doesn't exist here, but one can hope. Need not apply if you don't understand what flashbang does. Who wants in? - Ambeylance
  8. At least it only took 10 MONTHS!!! Since I made threads and sent PM's to you guys to fix this...
  9. 1. Make it queue you as a healer if you have more than 10 points in the healing tree. 2. Have it lock in your stance when you queue for solo arenas. Use your stance to determine if you are tank or dps.
  10. I actually think the 2.7 changes will help a lot. With all the new changes, not sure they should still nerf smash though.
  11. 8v8 huttball league would actually suck. In competitive games you won't be killing the other team when they get the ball at least 90 percent of times so it just comes down to who gets ball at mid which will often come down to connection.
  12. imo just make all pvp gear free and remove bolster. No need for this grinding of gear.
  13. What class are you? And yes 2018 is a must
  14. Even with all that, don't see how making solo arenas not have a form of matchmaking will make it any better. Would be stupid to remove the ranking system.
