And to add something more on your last point....there are 2-3 other talents completely useless either in pve or pvp for the time being.Parasitism is a joke as the % is too low IF a dot crits and Corrupted Flesh seems useless....7.5/15% isn't what will save a sorc and the biggest of our problems are the big-direct hits we can't mitigate,but we have to take one of these talents to open higher tier (don't forget that other classes have bigger % for aoe avoidance which is much more useful).Some ppl prefer Oppressing Force instead but I never found it that handy. The last and most funny talent imo is Devour.What can some1 say about such a talent on last tier?I still can't stop laughing when I see it even after 14months in this game.Who was the brilliant mind that added this talent on the last tier of a dps spec?Especially when the heals of the talents are even funnier?Imo Creeping terror should be added as an ability of another basic attack(let's say Crushing Darkness for e.g.) being taken from a talent in high tier,replacing Devour.For the 31 point talent we could use a long cd defensive ability.

Ofc when I face full pugs I don't have major problems either.BUT that has to do with my experience playing 1 year full pvp,my half EWH gear and the balanced stats after a lot of study.I can easily hit 400-500k dmg on such occasions and even hit low geared ppl with 4,5k DF or force lightning(ticks added ofc). The major problem comes when you have to face organized,well geared,experienced pvpers. Last night was matched 5 times in a row with a half premade group.Full of shadows,vanguards,a couple of sage healers and a couple of sentinels. All I could see was immune,immune,3 digit numbers,1.5k dmg on crits,couldn't kill healers and when it came to sentinels they hit for 6 and 7k on me.To avoid missunderstandings...I have 1211 expert,951 bonus dmg,34,89% crit buffed and 76,80% multi,which means that I am not low geared. So...the big problems come when we have to face such groups because we don't have the burst dmg to press healers,most of our attacks are being reduced,we don't have a cd that protects us a bit more when the oponent is immune to stuns or dmg (plz don't refer to polarity shift...cause it's a joke compaired to snipers' immunities to inters) and when we are dragged close to smashers or pyros...you know the outcome. If you are so lucky to enter all the time full pugged groups or abandon WZs that have premades then it's another story.In that case...yes my sorc is 90% top dps(hitting even 710k in a full duration death star),with 12+ medals(reaching up to 19) and a lot of objective points.
  3. Looks like a new conflict after last patch.Fixed it last evening finally. Just turned off Malwarebytes and put SWTOR file into exclusions in ESET anti-virus. It worked so one of those two was blocking something.Otherwise it was just a coincidence:P
  4. Running the same anti-virus/anti-malware for 2 years now,same internet provider for 3 years,same IP for the last 8 months....never had ms problems with the game. Since last patch I am having serious lag problems,most of them looking like flickers from 80ms to 1k-13k ms. Most of the times they are apperaing when trying to take server information like new screens.areas and data in general. Not all of the ppl seem to have the same problem in server and that's what makes it more wierd. Before answering with useless explanations...it's not the anti-viruses and also contacted provider 2 times.Line looks stable and change IP 3 times aswell.Same ****!!
  5. Some ppl are just staring at the tree and miss the whole wood as we say in my country. I wasn't talking here about tank classes pulling out that dmg in tank specs BUT what I was trying to mention is that those classes have dps trees which,when chosen,can pull out more dmg than pure dps classes and still keep some of the basic reductions/avoidances/utilities of their main class.So something has to change on that...either being more vulnerable or do less dps.
  6. I've already made 2-3 long posts here.I would like to add a small one. After 2 months of my return in the game started seeing things more clearly now.As much as Bioware buffs us....it won't mean anything if there won't be balances in other classes aswell. I don't want to talk about warriors or snipers because in my opinion they are dps classes,they have to hit hard as they can't do anything else than dpsing,and in mmos there will always be imbalances between such classes.This has happened in the past in many games and devs won't avoid having more in the future. BUT what bothers me more in swtor is the dmg some tanking classes can put out.It has happened in the past with juggs and assasins and it's happening again with powertecs/vanguards despite their sooooo much qqed nerf. If the devs like having an AC that not only can defend objectives on its own even against 2 players but being able to kill aswell then gg devs.This is what breaks pvp.Keep it as it is and watch subs dropping more.I don't think that you expect to keep more ppl just from lvling or from your poor pve.
  7. Forgot to mention that apart from all these problems there is something else that bothers me. As long as we have to push so much to do discent dps,we have to optimize our gear as much as possible. At least dps wise this isn't easy for this class.Although there are classes that know they have to aim for 1-2 basic stats (apart from the basic stat ofc ),we seem to have to solve a puzzle to have a balance between 4 stats in order to add a bit more power.I would like to invite those maras that qq and have them play with my stats a bit. Personally I am at WH gear with 4 EWH parts,full willpower augments and only at this lvl of gear managed to have a bit of balance. Can't afford to drop lower than 1200 expertise,can't run with lower than 1950-2000 willpower,need around 30% crit unbuffed (the only stat i am missing atm to hardcap as I am at around 29%),don t feel safe running with less than 77-78% surge despite its diminishing returns and with all these I have to be at around 940-950 bonus dmg by stucking as much power and buffs as possible. All in all it doesn't seem to me that this class atm can sacrifice something easily in favor of another stat that optimizes its dps.
  8. I use this spec for pvp and find it the most reliable,the only thing that differs on mine is that I don t put the 2 points in suppression but in seeping darkness instead.I have gone all over power with my gear so i need some extra crit to be at least at 30-31% crit with the 5% buff.
  9. What I like most in this thread is how mature the community has become. It's not just a qq thread of ppl crying out,but seems like one with ppl that have realized what the vital problems of sorcs are atm.I don't see even players from other classes interfearing in here just to troll with posts like "take your nerf and sit tight now...you were op for 3 months",as it was happening close to 1.2,which shows that even players of other classes know that sorcs need a fix.I' ll talk only in terms of dps as I've never played a healer in swtor and the only healing class I've played in my 6 years experience of mmos was a shaman in wow. There are things I wanted to suggest that look logical atm: 1.A madness based spec should have its basic dot,affliction,hitting harder.I laugh at the fact that my biggest crit of affliction on a full wh player is around 600 while other classes' dots hit me with 900 while I am at 1350 expertise. 2.Chain lightning should be put back into wrath proc.I don't think that this would affect a lot the current pvp situation anyways cause many classes have aoe avoidance and the spell itself isn 't hitting that hard.2,5-3k on 3 targets would be nothing compaired to the 7-9k aoe others can pull.It would just give to madness or hybrid specs a bit more burst. If you don 't wanna bring chain lightning back,then something has to be given to strenghten lightning strike when being cast by wrath proc. 3.Change bubble stun to work only for the caster.This will stop the whole qq from melee players about the chain stuns and will avoid us from being taken something else that will nerf our survivability even more. 4.As for lightning....I don't know what to think of.The whole spec needs a format.The bread and butter of this spec is TB.It's a very powerfull spell BUT it has a cd and a casting time.So as long as this spec is easy to shut down,they should give it something that would make us a threat of burst at least when TB isn't on cd. I was thinking about a talent that gives lightning strike a % to reduce next TB's cast time and to stuck for 2-3 times so that TB could be casted at around 1sec. 5.This last thing is bothering me for a long time.A full lightning tree can't get wrath.So lightning barrage is a crap talent to be in lightning tree.I really don't care for a proc in my secondary filler.I would prefer instead a talent that gives a buff to our main filler.lightning strike.like a stucking vulnerability or slow. Oh btw....something last that I've been hearing from the whole ranged dps community.One of the biggest fails of BW on ranged classes was the nerfing of our small cc into 10m.They have to reconsider that as long as the whole strategy against a warrior is to keep him away.If he comes close then you are sure dead.Atm warriors don t even struggle for the main difficulty of their class....how to reach ranged!! One of the big issues with sorcerers is that devs lost even their own goal which was their main excuse for nerfing sorcs all the way.....making hybrids less appealing to players than full trees. Atm 2 of the 3 best specs in PVP are hybrids,hybrid lightning/madness and hybrid corruption/lightning.So either Bioware had really poor devs or they were just telling us lies to sooth the qq about those nerfs. Apart from community's qqing BW has to see the following facts: -They have a class with bad high-end talents which don t give advantage by any means....dps,healing,survivability-wise.From the start of the game I never had the satisfaction of playing a full tree with all its perks more than a week(except for the lvling period). -They have atm 3 AC that none wants them in RWZ as dpsers.Operatives,BH and sorcs.This is btw a big majority in Imperial side and I talk every day with ppl that are getting bored from the fact that can't participate in rwz and have to stick with the same lvl wz after a year in this game.There are good players that are not even getting a chance to prove they are worth because of their spec(unless if they are healers ofc). -From the previous point I mentioned derives another issue.As Imps side was full of dps sorcs and bounty hunters(dps operatives became extinct after last February by BW's same actions) this makes PVP experience in imperial side a bit frustrating.There are ppl that don't want to play a healer but like to play sorcerer and don't want to reroll,there are returning players that have no clue about the position of sorcs in pvp atm and they enter wzs thinking they are still able to solo things or keep objectives for more than 5 secs and finally even good and well geared players aren't helped a lot by their class and have to put a lot of effort to stand out.When I enter a wz and see 4-5 sorcs in it I know that most probably the game will end up with ppl getting angry,yelling,leaving wz or giving up after the first 2-3 minutes of battle. All in all,they should see to this situation before next content because it is affecting the whole imperial pvp side.

Would like to help ppl that ask about full tree dps specs realise why they can t be better atm than 1/12/28 - 14/27 (pve and pvp wise) 1st of all let's make clear that sorcerers' best spell is force lightning if talented with madness.It has nice dps for the time being cast(I'd say great dps if some of the tics crit or under the effect of barrage),it slows your target and it gives really nice force regen with sith efficacy. Let's see pve.The only reason I would get one of the full lightning or madness specs would be better force management.Full madness gives you a mediocre DoT with 2 sec immobilize but you have to lose lightning barrage(I won t even talk about devour cause I believe that the self healing mechs and talents of sorcerers are really poor and badly built by devs).In no way can creeping terror out-dps barrage...at least with current double-dipping.The sexiest perk of this spec are the 2 more points in seeping darkness. Full lightning now....what can I say.Had great expectations for this spec and wanted to really try it after 1.2 for pve at least.I was really dissappointed.I ended up with great amount of force in every fight but the dmg wasn t what I expected.You can get the best burst with this spec but its sustained dmg is horrible.Thundering blast is a great spell and combined with recklessnes and relic ,can produce really nice dps and even better if it can be followed by a lightning storm proc.But then that's it.The specs drops dramaticaly cause of 2 reasons.Lightning strike,which is the main filler of the spec, is a very weak spell and the % of lightning storm is low.(for me used to proc after around 4 lightning strikes).I really wanted to play lightning but as much as I tried it,I was really dissapponted and ended up praying for more CL procs or hasted lightning strikes(which is very weak though in this spec). In pvp things are even clearer. I prefer btw 14/27 for pvp as I find it more usefull to lose some dmg from creeping death over electric bindings. Full madness gives you another...lets say ccing DoT.It has great utility if you want to stop a ball handler in fire but never helped me to avoid death.At least for me,it never reached the utility that electric bindings provides.The self healing perks of this spec are a joke in pvp especially after 1.2.Sorcerer is a paper class atm and 200ish heals won't save the day.With madness spec you become more of a support class.You lose every bit of burst while your DoTs aren t something special. Full lightning on the other hand has the best burst.It s the best spec if you want to kill a ranged class in 1v1 or bring down a healer faster.The problems of the spec in pvp are: a) again the low dmg of main filler , b) low % of procs(except if using force storm) , c) loses instant WW which most of the times is used as one more interrupt and d) all in all has poor mobility and gives you even more problems against melee.The best utility of the spec is backlash,which can make you avoid a few melee(although when I tried the spec I found out that it didn t work as I expected as many melee came on me already in full resolve). I tried all 3 specs after 1.2 mostly in pvp.Hybrid spec gave me a nice combination of dmg,cc,mobility and a great immobilizing knockback to avoid some deaths or to help the team in objectives.Last evening I managed to reach again some pre 1.2 numbers (560k dmg) in a long lasting Voidstar. I won't talk about survivability cause there isn t such a thing for sorcerers after 1.2 . As for the double-dipping bug...I don t see it being fixed soon.   13. After last fixes I noticed a couple of things in WZs which wanted to verify by others' experience. Force lightning double-dip seems not to work for me atm.Is it so or is it something that has to do with latency problems? The second thing that bothered me is that Death Field seems to crit a lot less times than before 1.2 and being constantly under reductions which I didn t see before the patch(death field is ofc internal dmg) Has any1 experienced anything similar?
