Do you have to play the profit and plunder chapter to be able to do the arena?

I have a 65 gunslinger that I'm trying to do the conquest with, except when I did a heroic on voss the counter didn't change to reflect that I did it.

The reason I'm asking is I made my free 60 a smuggler/gunslinger so I would have all four of the class buffs but it says that this char never completed story arc 2. So is there any way I can go back and do the story for him?

I can't extend the quickbar of my companions, nothing I have tried works.

Basically what I mean is, I have four char and I want to put the same three gather skills on each so what are the top three skills that I'll sell the most mats from?

What type of mats should I run missions for that will make a good profit?

Where on the map is he?

Is there any way to tell what kind of gift you will get from the mission?
