  1. I agree wholeheartedly, I had a slight oversight on calling it 12 days of Christmas, more like "Holiday-Double XP-Extravaganza" I used "Holiday Season"
  2. 'Tis the season for mindless grinding! Double XP if you'd be so kind please! (Yeah, I'm Canadian Eh) As the holidays are fast approaching, students and working class schmucks like myself are cuddling up with their computers, bracing for winter, bathing in the warm glow of overheating video-cards, our processors working eagerly to display those epic galactic space battles. It's that time of year for eggnog and endless holiday festivities - "hurray, the in-laws are visiting". For those nerds and geeks such as myself, I thoroughly enjoy having some time off over the holidays to sit back and enjoy an MMO or three. I have great memories of the SWTOR launch on December 20th, 2011, I spent a lot of that holiday season glued to my laptop (now defunct - rest in pieces my sweet prince - Yeah, I'm a man, it's not wrong to call him my sweet prince, really, it's fine. Trust me.) I propose a very simple suggestion for this holiday season! A Holiday Double-XP Extravaganza Let's face it, there's been an influx of players due to the launch of the latest digital expansion! Over the holidays, the community is bound to thrive and what better way to keep people indulged in the grind than to offer a week of Double XP, or a 12 days of Christmas Double XP! It'll give existing players a reason to level alternate characters, returning players that feeling of accomplishment as they level quickly, and new players a chance to catch up and enjoy some later-game content! It was a smashing success over the American Thanksgiving Holiday and I hope that for the winter holiday season, we can see double XP return! So say I, Rammon (aka Benwick) of Ebon Hawk!
  3. I agree, it's disappointing that existing subscribes do not get any perk while this incentive is running, however, this is a tactic used to bring more life and players back to SWTOR. It's the same tactic used by millions of companies, (cable and phone companies come to mind - offering incentives for switching providers). Even an extra 500 Cartel Credits would be nice for existing players in continuation of their support while they run this offer, but I don't think it's going to happen. Don't be disheartened though! Just think, this promotional offer will bring more people back to SWTOR!
  4. Haven't heard of this one yet, generally a game won't necessarily cause a poor connection. It could indeed be bottle necking traffic somewhere and cause your network card to say "Whoa, hold up, you're trying to do way to much for me to process at once, I'm out of here..." Run SWTOR without any other applications running that use the internet, (close any browsers, messengers etc). Run it as an Administrator as well, just for kicks and giggles. Do all the basic troubleshooting as well, ensure you have the latest drivers for your wireless card from the OEM (Manufacturer), run a spyware/virus scan.
