  1. Laughably not that big of a deal. A queue system, while extremely convenient, won't make or break party forming.
  2. A majority of players don't need to need to look at it. They just need to check the little box, set the comment and go on their way. If you're of the minority of players who are willing to take a leadership role (however minor) and form a group, then checking list every now and then might be for you. I'd be interested to see what type of person would mock someone for making them aware of a useful in-game function. Vague interest is better than ignorance, and Silence is a common answer to most things said in General Chat. The tool is bad. It's not obviously visible. But it's not hidden either. We're not navigating through the bowel's of EVE's UI here. The tool shares a window with /who. Type /who and you're at the LFG tool. Easy as that. Hopefully BW polishes it further. But right now, how about instead of saying "BW needs to add a LFG tool" we say "BW needs to improve the LFG tool". In the meantime let's fix the problems we can fix ourselves and educate the playerbase via word of mouth instead of waiting around with our thumbs up our ***.
  3. So would I. Instead of waiting for the developers to slap new players in the face and scream at them in a bold tutorial on the loading screen "THERE IS AN LFG TOOL IN /WHO" let's instead tell people, "Hey, check out the LFG function in /who." I see 4 different threads every day for people clamoring for a LFG function in the game, and apparently none of them know one already exists. That's a problem. And now it seems, when you try to make people aware of it, their argument is. "That tool sucks because nobody uses it, so I don't use it." Huh?
  4. Right, Filter to LFG. Click on Rank to position to filter highest level to the top. Or if your sub-50 "LFG [your level]". At most, 5 more characters. Not that big of a deal. Yea... so stop acting like the tool doesn't exist and start encouraging people to use it. I'd like to know exactly what is inconvenient about checking a box and setting a comment. I'm not going to argue that developers can't improve upon it. Because they can. They should. If anything, the tool should be a seperate menu with a seperate UI button. But, it's not. That doesn't mean the tool magically doesn't exist. We're not 5 month year olds. Just because something is out of sight doesn't mean it suddenly vanished from the universe.
  5. 1) you dont need to see everyone. Rank by highest level. 2) How much do you need to put in a comment? Heal Taral V 3) Not the tool's fault. I use it. Why don't you? That's what talking is for. 4) They could improve it, but the only real problem (lack of people using it) is the result of user-ignorance, not the tool. They could improve it. They should improve it. But nobody's arguing that. Everyone simply pretends it doesn't exist or honestly believes there isn't one already, which doesn't help educate people to it's existence at all. There is an LFG tool, tell people it exists, encourage people to use it.
  6. There's nothing counter-intuitive about it. It's not like they hid the LFG function in your talent window. It's in /who. That's where you go when you're looking for people. Constantly arguing BW needs to implement an LFG tool and ignoring the fact that one already exists in-game isn't the best way to inform people to use it.
  7. Exactly. As it stands the function of the tool already in-game is perfect. Maybe BW should make it into a seperate window so it's easier to comprehend... <_<
  8. The only reason that's even slightly true is because checking a Box marking you LFG and setting a comment are too daunting of a task for 80% of the player base. The tool works fine. You can see who's LFG in the entire server and what they're LFG for.
  9. You guys know there's already and LFG tool in the game right?
  10. Why don't you use the LFG feature in /who?
  11. Seriously...The OP is complaining because he has to move and jump... Has to be a troll...
  12. There were full guides for them before the game even launched. You can google them. But I know for a fact IGN.com has a guide up. I haven't looked at it yet, but it seemed pretty complete at a glance.
  13. Really? Immersion breaking? Do you scroll into First Person and disable the UI and flytext as well? If a simple UI element shatters your immersion, I pity your imagination.
  14. It's in each planet's spaceport. On your map you'll see the elevator icon that says [Your Class] Docks.
