  1. iampolaris1069 1 second ago It never Fails. Ive been playing since the game launched and ever since 3.3 SNipers have been getting the shaft. Nowhere in this do we retain the ability to generate heals, it looks like orbital strikes damage has been cut in half AGAIN.. keep in mind , when 65 was the cap, orbital strike did 12-15k . then nerfed to 8-10k, now down to 4-5k. please devs, SOMEONE explain to me how a grenade, a death from above, or a Sorcs lightning storm DOES MORE DAMAGE to an area in total than something that is supposed to be a BOMBARDMENT FROM an ORBITING CAPITAL SHIP? Snipers are like the bastard children of SWTOR. it is the ONLY class with no real MASSIVE damage reduction or outright nullification and once again ZERO heals or way to gain healing. force users can throw rocks, throw light sabers, or LEAP just as far as I can shoot a SNIPER rifle. heres the real kicker. ALL other classes have either a REFLECT, or Significant self heals. Mercs/mandos reflect and get heal to minimum 60% health, Jugs get reflect heal to full and damage nullification, Marrauders/Sents get damage nullification and Dash, and a stealth out. Sorc/sage have bubble and Self heals and teleport. but yeah, Snipers who have THROUGHOUT all time relied on camouflage and blending in with their environment to lie in wait or creep up on targets /get in range.. yeah, thats the ONE class that gets NOTHING for stealth. meanwhile its counterpart class Operative can stealth out. HOW is it that even in the Same field of character class Sniper/Operative someohow doesnt have access to even a simple stealth generator? I have been suggesting a Stealth over time type benefit for years now. Call it Snipers Hide.. where just as a snipers stealth detection increases over time, they can gradually fade from view over time as though they , like a real sniper , blends in to their supproundings if given sufficient time to work their way into the terrain. The feedback I always seem to get is that would make them OP.. keep in mind its always someone with self heals or a force user who says this . LASTLY, how , PLEASE TELL ME HOW. i have LESS ABILITIES and do LESS DAMAGE at lvl 80 than I did at level 60? ( 4.0)? everything we have gained in the ensuing expansions , they are now taking away or nerfing further while most other classes keep nearly all of their abilities or ones that are critical.. crap, I dont even see shield probe in this tree. SEriously ERIC Musco WHy man, I get it you must not ever play this class or you hate us, because there is no class that has been nerfed more than snipers or had all other classes given DIRECT counters to this ONE classes abilities. ALSO, as our class has NO range advantage , DOT spec classes litterally pop back and forth behind cover and DOT us to death.. while when we do somehow manage to hit them in that 1.3-1.4 second cast time for a SNIPE.. guess what they do.. STAY BEHIND COVER AND SELF HEAL.. meanwhile we have no heal anymore while waiting for our game of WHACK A MOLE, to continue. so we now will just die in pvp whether by Sorc,sage, operative/smuggler, merc/mando, powertech, guardian.. and the list goes on.. why... because ALl of them have spec for DOTS and INSTANT CASTS.. but snipers.. if we want an INSTANT cast, we have to stand and get back into cover, thus dropping stealth detection.. if we even still have that.. With all the other classes having all of these self heals and counters, why not give a class which has focused and relied on accuracy and stealth to have some kind of stealth iE SNIPERS HIDE, and some way to have an ability to overide reflect and hit our target anyway, like you could call it FOCUSED VOLLY or pinpoint precision. so at a minimum the damage doesnt come back at us and at the enemy cant gain health from our attack.. if anything it would end up as a wash if the enemy was reflecting/ health gain from direct damage. or if the enemy wasnt using reflect/health gain, then they take an extra 20-30% crit damage from the shots in the attack.. Snipers are notorious for being focused down as fast as possible by teams. we havent been anywhere NEAR the top of ANY PvP leaderboards for damage in YEARS and here we are 10 years in and now we are even more helpless than we were at 4.0 when we started losing abilities and orbital started doing less damage to a target than a frag grenade. in Summation NO. 7.0 SNIPER feels NOTHING like actually being a sniper .. to actually have a class that FEELS like a sniper at a minimum they need 4 things. RANGE , ACCURACY, CAMOFLAGE, and the ability to call for indirect artillery support. Everythng i am seeing from pts to ability tree choices makes me feel that you really care nothing about even remotely giving our class a fighting chance..
  2. Mr. Musco.. We wanted to take a moment to reach out to the community to collect ideas on set bonuses. We are looking for opinions on current and previous set bonuses as well as concepts for future. This thread will cover Snipers/Gunslinger. Note: Our intent is to have set bonuses not increase DPS by more than 5%. Please keep this in mind when posting your suggestions. Current Level 60 Set Bonuses (for reference) 2-Piece: Activating Explosive Probe, Ambush and Lethal Shot or Sabotage Charge, Aimed Shot and Dirty Blast increases damage dealt by 2% for 15 seconds. Cannot occur more than once every 30 of seconds. 4-Piece: Reduces the cooldown of Target Acquired or Illegal Mods by 15 seconds, and activating either ability restores 15 energy. 6-Piece: Laze Target or Smuggler's Luck now has 2 charges and its duration is doubled. [/color] Mr Musco. and Dev Team. Set bonus focus is all fine and dandy , but heres the problem i have . ONCE AGAIN we will have to rely on gear grind to be even remotely relevant AT ALL. Ever since launch every single other class has received boosts , abilities and INNATE SKILLS that directly either counter or use against snipers their own abilities. and at the exact same time, Snipers have seen their range decrease, energy cost increase, DAMAGE abilities like Orbital strike now do less damage then a frag grenade.. Think about that.. an ORBITAL STRIKE does less damage than what you can stick in your pocket and throw at a group. And theres a cast time. Snipers have recieved NERF After nerf after nerf. and Now here we are quibbling about what a set bonus should have.. and even that set bonus has to be earned while getting face rolled in all sorts of pvp and so on. Look at the Pvp Historic leaderboards.. when was the last time a sniper held the top..or was even in the top 5 let alone multiple snipers? This all started because people complained about not being able to get to snipers. We lost the ability to stun droids, we got a little heals, then yall took it away cause the masses cried foul when we actually had a chance to survive.. Its like everyone has a reflect, and life gain, and self heals .. on a scale to make it so if we make a single mistake ( often times it doesnt even take that) and we die. period. I have suggested this time and again. HOW ABOUT A SNIPER STEALTH ABILITY! real life snipers rely on camo and suprise and escape. Why cant we have the ability to gain stacks of not only a detection of stealth, but the ability to convert stacks to stealth out ourselves? That would be a real Node guarding ability in Pvp. look at Snipers damage range in comparison to everyone else.. I play every class and it boggles my mind how I can have virtually the same stats on my merc as my sniper and while My merc, is over 5200 sniper is 4800 . Both burst and yet , the merc has innate health gain on a massive scale, An AOE that really hurts and reflect AND Life gain AND shield . It takes a lot of Skill or a pocket healer to be viable. I have played one since LAUNCH. I can see and have seen what happens each successive update/expansion. you can guarantee 2 things. 1 SNIPERS will get nerfed or have to rely on gear to compete with whatever you guys decide to just hand to force users or every other class as Innate abilities. 2. YEt another class is going to get a new ability to further nullify a key ability that snipers rely on to be viable and have ANY fun at all. You guys have used my suggestions in the past for Abilities , But youve always given the ability to A different class IE the Swap places ability which I had tried to get for snipes but yall gave to Vanguards . . Come On, How about a sniper reflect reflect.. like if Someone uses an ability that would use my damage against me , instead it reflects back at them and does even more damage .. Or HONED PRECISION, the ability for snipers to take a focused shot and rely on all their training and tech to bypass a shield/reflect ability and still hit their target. and maybe even give us the ability to get through the dame Sorc bubble. dont let us break its bubble, but, a lil more oomf to counter the stall would be nice.. give it a cool down . so we cant abuse it , yet punish the people that RELY on reflect / bubble as a way to bypass skill. cause that what it really comes down to.. yall have taken the skill out of the equation and now people just run Skank tank dps , super merc / reflectopottomusses to rule pvp. oh yeah, and Whitebar means nothing either.. Im still getting stunned while witebarred.. You want some ideas, Talk to me. I aint trying to break the game , I want to make it fun again.
  3. BUG FOUND: This bug is that on the Platform decoration Snipers are NOT able to assume the crouched or take cover position. It just repeatedly says " cannot be used in the air" . I know you guys dont play snipers esp with the fact that snipers seem to get nerfed every single expansion in one way or by all the other classes getting utilities of defenses that are built around nullifying Sniper/gunslinger abilities, and therefore would not be surprised if this was intentional but come on.. please correct this. UPDATE! This bug extends to EVERY decoration . snipers cannot take cover while standing on top of ANY decoration. this nullifies their ability to engage from any elevated position and thus makes them useless.

THIS POST IS ABOUT THE ARENA LAYOUT: I like the Arena platform , but it would be even better if you could put fire trap decos on it and there were more of the centerpiece decos underneath so you coul place the giant wall decorations underneath to limit/ slow down the enemies progress. this area could DEFINITELY use a couple Starship hooks so in addition to the platform you could also emplace the Odessan Command center decorations. it would be much more verseatile for both Hutball and 4v4 8v8 this way esp if you could put heal nodes on raised platforms so they would be at the centers of the command center. Perhaps a new kind of hook that is a starship deco with smaller deco hooks so you could effectively LAYER them and magnify their potential. this would also enable say like placing civilian decorations on the map for color, maybe like putting up a rakghoul quarantine cage with rakghoul pets or infected inside of them .. COME ON ERIC YOU KNOW YOU LOVE MY IDEAS!! This would also work on the centerpiece/ large decoration hooks if ,for example, you started with a Rakgoul Quarantine cage and paired it with one of those Vent floor decorations which periodically were dormant for 10-15 seconds and then would eject whoever had the misfortune to get thrown into one from the catwalk. or you could just incorporate the vents in the floor and allow someone to place a rakgoul quarantine cage on top of it. youd probably make a fortune in Cartel purchases in purchasing traps and such. I set mine up so any unwary person attempting to use the scaffold risks getting thrown in Quarantine for the duration of the match. Gotta have some kind of trap or risk V reward. CENTERPIECE FORMAT. This format lends to using large walls and Odessan command centers for 4v4 8v8 but in any kind of a hutball match you can still just run right up the middle . In something like this perhaps adding a layered starship hoog or centerpiece hooks to place walls down and slow down would be sorc speedsters or "Bloodthirst"-y Marauders/sentinels. RANDOM /MIX format, not really useable its too much of a cross, perhaps more of a concentric circle kind of mix between centerpiece/ starship large and medium type hooks which would allow designers to essentially craft Mazes using the myriad of small, medium large and epic sized walls and such. Perhaps a couple of places for 2 Odessan command centers and maybe a couple smaller platform decorations to provide cover for hide and seek or hide and go kill. I have found out that if you place the Medical facility Decoration or any large decoration on top of where the ball spawns it becomes inaccessible . while great for deathmatches , not so good if anyone wants to score. How a bout a dual hutball esque map, where theere are 2 hutballs. but this acts like capture the flag. the ball is centered just a little in from of the opposing side and to score you each team has to get the ball from the opposing side and bring t back to your platform.
  5. I want to start by saying Thank you for the rishi stronghold! Back when i was on Pot5 i had my Yavin Stronghold set up for cross faction Pvpand we used to have guild Pod races and pvp matches on it for prizes. This has brought that back and then some so again Thank you,I been hoping for this ever since I lost the ability to do this on the new servers. Ok, Now on to the meat of my initial observations and please , feel free to look at my current strongholds and my guild ship to give you an idea of what Im capable of when I get a chance to decorate SH's and such ( for the sake of credibility). 1. The Entry platform could use a few Large Decoration hooks to enable the nicer vendor kiosk decos and to place civilian populations and such. This would also enable the Speeder Station deco to be placed . I dont know if it would be too much trouble but perhaps extending the platform to have the entry area AND a starship hook to make it look like this is where you landed and this is the initial Bazaar area where people are coming and going via Taxi station and such. Perhaps add hooks to the Scaffolding area as well to add to lighting or emplace banners. 2. As this area is soo massive have you increased the limit of PERSONNEL which can be placed? I would hope so as I like to make my SH's seem populated particularly with this one as there are so many areas which would draw crowds to watch the events taking place. One of those areas that begs for more single hooks would be adjacent to the initial death-match area. Again, Please reference my SH . 3. The HUTBALL/ Deathmatch area. Is it possible to allow for Deco Memory ? As in, if you wanted to have a specific layout for each type of match or to choose whether you want Memorized layout 1 or 2 to be active for the mode you are in , you could just use A console and then Lock in the layout as appropriate without having to spend hours redecorating between the 2 types of having to commit to just 1 Decoration ensemble . 4. What is the likelihood of making Heal Node and Trap decos Available. As there are a wide variety of character classes and a few have virtually no self heals and will quickly die trying to tangle against the Dot Spec classes . Esp since the snipers heals are virtually non existent now. BUGS encountered. 1. I consistently am finding that my Deco Arrangement control goes blank regularly. I.E. I place multiple decos in an area and then as a theme evolves or if I need to change the flow of a room/area I find that decos I have placed cease to appear when I click on the hook. In addition to this I lose entire groups of decoration types in a situation where the decorations wont even appear in my listing choices . The only way I have found to clear this bug is to EXIT the game and relog into the game. This has a tendency to become frustrating and discourages lengthy amounts of effort. 2. When I created my character copy and went over to the server I found that a LARGE amount of my decorations were completely unavailable and thus I just had to make do with what I crafted and unlocked on the pts. HOW TO FIX AND ENABLE THE MOST THOROUGH EVALUATION you could try the following. ----- Enable/ unlock all decorations via the vendors in a free option and perhaps unlock operation grade decorations so people can get right into testing the area and experimentation instead of having to send massive amounts of characters and spending LENGTHY periods of time compiling the needed materials and such which they then have to use to purchase the decorations. I believe this will give you the WIDEST variety of players who may develop a new found love for craftingor content grinding to obtain and then recreate the SH they were able to make on the PTS. I feel that with so many people who may be exceedingly creative if given the chance, they just don't have the time to get on the PTS and spend all that time gathering and crafting the ingredients to trade for decorations when all of their effort remains exclusive to the PTS and then gets wiped out when the PTS gets shut down. Enacting this type of utility would increase the pool of participants who are able to utilize the activity / content more expediently and thus increase the likelihood that more bugs and creative suggestions could be gleaned from their experimentation. I know you all put a great deal of work into making this all possible and it is appreciated and I don't want to be the " Thats nice but how about more " guy but I have an Idea which I can best describe as "TAG meets Dodge the Exploding hutball" which could dove tail with the current HUTBALL Zones , except with an exploding hutball much like the old pvp Deco which could be purchased from the old PvP deco vendor. Add in a consistently increasing Buff akin to the snipers ability ( but which over the length of the match itself never stops increasing unlike the snipers 30 stack cap)on the ball which reveals an ever increasing size sphere around the carrier to locate stealthers to avoid the HIDE=WIN result. Also instead of having a slow placed on the holder, they can gradually move faster as well. The ball would tick down and you could die either via the ball detonation or getting killed normally. team with the last survivor or who eliminates the other team wins. Anyway Just wanted to throw that out. and perhaps you could use that to add a huge new flavor to pvp . Feel free to contact me for a more in depth explanation.   6. *** were they Thinking?!!! This new Crafting change is ridiculous!!! they may have wanted to reduce the ways that big guilds dominiated the Conquests but what they did was totally kill the ability for small guilds to gain points or open up their guild ships. Case in point, mine is a small guild and yet on occasion because of hard work we would be above to craft our way on to the board and thus get encryptions by converting invasion forces to dark projects. it would take a few months of work but eventually we would craft the 250 dark projects to convert and open a new spot on the ship. Now that they have made the war supplies insanely mat intensive we cant even do that. on top of that , removing the repeatables to gain points .. IE WZ's flashpoint missions, those people who were able to use their ONE day off of their workweek to get their 4-5 toons to conquests now CANT GET ANY gosh darn POINTS because its a one time deal a freaking day.. Way to go *******es , you just further killed the fun and sense of accomplishment that small guilds at least had a small chance at getting. ERIC AND DEV TEAM ... EAT A FAT ONE!!!!
  7. Lets take into account that everyone and their mothers brother has reflect. Mercs have 4 life bars and if you drop an ambush at the same time you get hit with a Heatseeking missile and unload while the 50 mercs running around focus you.. or the merc , jug sin sorc combo. yeah, you arent getting through that. How about this. Give us an ability that either penetrates through a reflect, or that takes into an account that a Sniper is dedicated to accurracy and calculates ambush to Not reflect straight back at them. Call it , calculated risk, or something./ I agree with Snipers having a stealth out, like maras or sents. real life snipers are all about camouflage so why not give us something.. It could be something like this Once you have 30 stacks of awareness , you can trigger Snipers Hide to simulate that a sniper would have been using the terrain around and located a hidden cubby which, much like a real snipes , once you take that shot your position is divulged. a snipes couldnt spam it. hell, you could make it the 7th slot bonus. as in you could ONLY have it if you had all 7 pieces. What gets me most , is there is a running joke.. "What update is complete without a sniper Nerf? " and its absolutely true. you devs are caving to the idea that a 2% increase in health over 20 secs is TOO OP, yet its only usable at minimum every 2.5 mins. and I have to use 2 utility points to make it worth a damn . yet a merc/commandoes have ACTUAL self heals, and reflect AND Flaming shields AND 60% life Gain AND a rocket out that resets if they take damage after the 1st jump. and alllllll The While EVERYONE has the same range as a SNIPER. force users can throw a rock as far as a sniper can shoot a damn rifle... ACCURATELY. really? Orbital strike is a Joke.. a Grenade can do more damage... Really? a grenade can do more damage than a series of Blasts from an orbiting battle cruiser..? here's my main complaint about snipes , the majority of our utilities are garbage.. WHOOAA you say? think about it. accuracy reduction? who really uses accuracy in pvp? pve bosses and Npcs dont either.. so whats it really doing? 2. all the trash slows that people just run right through. and everything seems to cleanse it . so how about we get a solid ROOT. call it double jeopardy. if they cleanse a slow, the get rooted for a short period. as everything we do worth a damn requires we be in cover , we get kited to death by everyone else that has SOLID shoot on the move utilities.. we have to take a utility to get 4 shots.... that have a timer.. and wear off. in the end youve coddled every other class so much and us snipers have gotten so used to playing through nerfs, that when the stats are actually level . we smoke people and make a difference in ops. right now, snipes are garbage in ops. why, No real shoot on the move thats worth a damn and we have cast times that are ridiculous to be able to get off our aoes to put some kind of damage on a boss while we get out of puddle after puddle after cone of fire and cone of fire. How about this.. if you are going to give everyone else an ALL around reflect.. how about giving snipers A directional thats only good during entrench. Those that would complain it lasts too long could be told , well, hit them from the side or back. its only good against 1 enemy attacking from the front. mercs reflect does that AND heals them.. this would make us much more viable in operations as the reflect on a cone of fire would make up for the fact that our dps is garbage as we have to be in cover to use anything.. Come on.. while I like pvp, Id really appreciate being able to be viable in an op instead of having to take my mobile dpsers .. again .. really , people cry about a limited edition 2% heal when thats our ONLY heal and it on a 2.5 min cool down? really? And for those who complain about a snipe getting a 30 stack converter, lets see, which classes dont even have a raid buff?ohhh thats right. snipes.

    Open world Pvp

    Enable Stronghold PvP. Back when I was On PoT5 I used to hold PvP matched between factions as all it took was 1 person from each faction to have access and they could invite their friends and we would go at it on Yavin 4. I had the entire stronghold decorated like a pvp warzone and we had tons of fun. when you died you were sent back to the start and when 1 side one we would hand out the spoils from our Guild bank for participants. This is a hugely fun break from just doing warzones and it enables groups of players to create their own events for guildies or the community. We also held Pod races with opposite factions being able to attack or disrupt the racers as in episode 1, please enable open pvp in strongholds instead of requiring duels. trust me . this is an extremely fun activity. EricMcuso, what is it with you guys and the nerfing of ops. never fails, operative classes like sniper have literally been the most nerfed class in the game.. as SOON as we ever get something that makes us competitive what do you >>JGFIYUYFIUY at bioware do? You nerf us.. operatives finally had a heal that helped us be somewhat on par with sorc heals. somewhat.. we dont have their super force speed , the bubble , the sexploding barrier of light that stuns enemies.. the aoe knockback that can also heal allies, the spamable aoe lightening that can help the field , the ability to bubble allies,,, the puddle that is instant and doesnt require us to channel (proc) a Massive self heal, an ally pull for the ones about to go out of range.. nope... we have a time consuming hots that are channeled.. unless we use a utilityand even that that requires 2 actions to occur befor we can use.. Gone is Orbital..that could help punish enemies for attacking us and instead a grenade thats only good for a small area.. after the 5.0 a team of mercs/commandos could go against a team of ops and it was gonna be interesting.. now its an absolute JOKE.. you'll take away our heal and yet leave the mercs/commandos with their massive self heal and reflect that heals and all that..? are you kidding me? so lets see now who all has a massive reflect Sorcs, Mercs, juggs , powertech and with the merc/commandos being so Fotm they are literallyEVERYWHERE , ohh look hes reflecting swap target , oh so is he .. aaand him.. aaaaan her,,, aaaannnd him oh look a sork here to heal them . while i have literally almost died just from swapping targets between all the reflects and by the time you get back to the original target everyone is back to full or they can run forever ... you know what I'm just going to stop there. its obvious you guys dont give a crap you just like to hand out "I win" buttons to your favored classes and skip any real balance ! and if there is somehow balance in the game and one of those special snowflake Uber classes actually find themselves having to work for their win.. NERF the competition.. guess its only balanced if your end of the scale is loaded with gold.
  10. its not just that, but now with mercs and sorcs and jugs with massive lengthy reflects self heals and such what do they do, NERF op heals who, up until the previous patch , had no real instant heals . bs shields and clunky kolto,, but after 5.0 we had a nice utility heal for self or group members . but NOOOO bioware cant have a tech version of any heals that sorcs have and sure cant disrupt the reign FoTM Mercs ....so they nerf us.. Damnit I was Finally .. Finally starting to enjoy the game again. it was somewhat balanced with the ability to heal after being blazed down by 4 mercs just by their reflects.. yep.. oh look this mercs reflecting switch target .. oh so is he .. oh and that one.. ok the tank yup him to.. now comes the blazing bolts and their rotation aaannd dead.. I really hate you guys sometimes.. ok a lot . that utility came in handy in Fp's ops and such and made content passable ... your dev team just has to play favorites.. always ..
  11. Folks, there is an easy explanation for all of this. Bioware/EA are the Credit seller as has long been rumored.. Think about it. Bioware bans a bunch of credit sellers, that are you're typical run of the mill foreign or unsanctioned credit sellers. This leaves only Bioware/EA authorized credit sellers. Add this to the understanding that Cartel Market focus is already to get supplemental money from subs outside of subscription cost. This is why bioware spend such a substantial amount of resources focusing on aesthetics of gear and trinket companions as opposed to developing content and adding WZ's and operations. Take into account DVL, which requires players to create new toons ( and assuming everyone wants to get to max level asap) this required Toon perks . i.e. Affection gain boosts, exploration exp, pvp exp boost. Companion Hk trek unlocks and so on. Only way for this to happen is either cartel comms or in game credits. Add to this the rarity of the items/ decos , repeats of drops from packs reduced number of boxes to open, and so on. Further is the ability for devs to award themselves things for sale on the gtn and control the market keeping prices extremely high... lately I've seen soo many items on the gtn for upwards of 100 mil it's rediculous. So now, instead of having at least some items that used to only be obtainable through individual effort( crystals, wz comms) which at least maintained some market stability , now EVERYTHING will be through credits. They NEVER intended on giving their core base of players any chance at a leg up by prepping for expansion by collecting crystals or WZ comms to upgrade to the next Tier at launch. This also explains the insipidly low conversion cost. If they were serious about fair conversion then taking stock of the current credit value of purchasing a single item that is both earnable as well as purchasable from GTN would be fair. Example, Dark Matter Catalysts. Purchaseable for 300 radiant crystals or 1.25 ( average) Million each off of the GTN. Then taking that you can figure that 300 radiant crystals would equate 4167 credits each. Then you make glowing 50% of that and common 50% of that. And you leave open the amount of credits a person could have as it is their efforts which have earned them their current comm/crystal amounts. basing pvp off of gear that is based completely of Pve type gear is insane, because there are people that have access to raids and so on and can get their gear substantially faster then everyone that is a solo or in a small guild . This means pvp will be even more unbalanced .... UNLESS you do what.... oh yeah that's it , Buy upgraded mods from the gtn using credits and by ensuring players have as few earned credits as possible, you ensure the crystal/commendation conversion cap is as low as possible... In essence I imagine a meeting went something like this. CFO- Hey guys, we need to come up with some new ideas to monetize this game in order to fund development of Swtor 2 ( or whatever game) . We need to do this quickly because our already thin subscriber base is dwindling and we are already shutting down server after server and consolidating so much due to population , that people are unsubbing due to repeated server transfers and transfer costs. We expect there to be a flux of people subbing for a month or so to experience the new content but if previous expansion launches have been any indicator , they won't last long. This means that we need to get as much as we can prior to shutting this game down and moving on . { assistant} people sell credits , could we cash in on that actions, -Dev- yeah if we made everything credit based and get the FTP folks to Sub.. then we get them paying us for Cartel market, appearance items., trinkets, decorations EVERYTHING on top of what they are already paying us for subscriptions. CFO- There are a number of people making money off of our content by selling credits, how can we tap into this? -Dev- Well, we could create our own credit seller accounts and ban all the unauthorized ones then everything credit related has to go through us. On top of that we make even more reasons for them to have to purchase items from us, like randomizing gear aquisition. Take away the boss drops and earnable drops where the player gets to choose what they want or need and instead make them have to earn the same thing over and over and over again until they get frustrated and just spend the cress to get it from the GTN ( which we control) or from our overpriced vendors or individual crafters . Keep in mind , that we already diminish how much players can get from the gtn for sale of items through our "surcharge" for placing something on the GTN in the 1st place.. { those credits just disappear into the server anyway or get funneled to our credit selling accounts which then sell the credits BACK. To the players... it's selling credits skimmed off the top of every transaction back to the very people that earned the credits in the 1st Place... -CFO My goodness that's brilliant.. you literally make everyone start over every single expansion and force them to purchase everything in one currency, the. Control that currency and force everyone to come to you if they want to compete or participate in the end game content... and you get them to do it on as many toons as possible... But how do we get them to make more toons..without all the effort on our part of adding content? -Dev-You mean get them to repeat content they have already completed....Well let me tell you about an idea called Dark Vs Light.. players Have to create new toons, grind out the achievements all over again and all for trinket appearance stuff and ... get this , the ability to level toons faster.. but what's great is that most people are already maxed out on how many toons they can have per server so they'll have to get new slots . To get new slots, we make them buy me from is with real money... Then after all of that, we give them their trinket useless stuff ( like they will ever want to level another toon ever again after this) which will do nothing for them in the long term and we get to pocket more money and such for whatever project we want to focus on while we drain resources from our defense team... hey, Doesn't Mass effect Andromeda need more people? Then there's that Mass effect online idea we've been kicking around... -CFO- Brilliant! Make it happen ! < and so the next day> " Hey guys , you have 24 hours to move/ transfer comms"..... THe new changes are absolutely moronic.. unless of course you are a developer who plays and hates the fact that for one breif shining moment snipers actually had a fair chance.. now they've not only nerfed us, but buffed our enemies. in particular DPS tanks.. i mean hey , lets give the guys that already dps and can take massive hits, and reflect direct damage and heal and be invincible while they do it.... AND MAKE THEM EVEN STRONGER .. .. i have never died this much or had to spend more time trying to just stay alive. we all know that BIOFAIL has had their pet classes and have always hated on us snipers/MM but holy crap this lated cut of 20% of damage is an absolute slap in the face .. I absolutely hate this game now, story doesnt make up for destroying all my hard work in cybertech that they just took away my craftables.. couldnt even let me have what i learned in Archives.. just took my hard learned armor mods away.. then the constant taking away from mm snipers. Whenever they give is something, they take it and more away and then buff everyone else.. ROT IN HELL DEV TEAM ..
  13. Talk about PISSED OFF!!! What MORON decided to play mix'n Match with the crafting abilities? I worked long and hard to learn and gain schematics and advanced schematics for armor mods on my cybertech, and all the crafting of my other toons as well. and now ALL THAT WORK IS GONE!!!! DID YOU EVEN THINK THAT MAYBE JUST MAYBE YOU SHOULD HAVE , AT THE MINIMUM, APPLIED THE KNOWN SCHEMATICS TO THE NEW CRAFTER?! I have to re learn all that? Im supposed to now go and spend the untold nimber of hours gathering mats , searching for components for stuff its taken me since launch to get access to and now its worthless? WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU???!!!!
  14. How absolutely sick and tired I am of hearing force users, Sins, and Juggs in particular , tell us what is what to help us with survivability. like this idiotic statement.... I don't really see it that way. This might be an illusion of choice, but this way there is some difference in builds. You can either have the 30% more damage absorbed effect during the probe. Or you can get healed 5% faster after the probe. Moving both into one (30% more damage absorbed with a healing boost afterwards) would make that utility way too strong for a single point and take away the choice. You'd have to skill that by default. Everyone would just take it. I agree that they could add a passive that allows shield probe to be used when stunned, but rolling both into one thing and adding a third effect would make the utility too strong. Says the force user.. 5% faster.. no.. thats healed For 5%.. which is absolutely useless. thats not even a single tick .. 2.5 k Tops. a single rifle shot or reflected blast and its all she wrote. Dear Devs.. Its never ceased to amaze me how you guys obviously NEVER play our classes..you nerf our Orbital which used to be a great defensive to keep us from getting gang raped in an opening salvo of pvp.. and it was also a great defense for the Operatives heals where we could again hold people or punish them for swarming us as we try to heal ourselves or party.. when madness sorcs are pulling 1.7m Dps in warzones dot dot spread lighting proc deathfield and sprint away.. rinse repeat.. DPS juggs EVERYWHERE who not only deal damage via smash, leap , knock us out of cover , choke, us into oblivion ( which by the way regardless whether my distraction or escape is available or not, its not uncommon to see an op or sniper litterally wiped out in the time a choke is channeled -broken from, reapplied and its all over) and you Devs think shuffling Engi's abilities by level and giving us breakouts or knockbacks is going to do anything? Are you guys stupid ? theres this thing called resolve.. getting an extra knockback or stun breaker doesnt do much when we just get juggled from jug to jug , and they just keep jumping and reflecting all we do.. You want to give us survivability,, ? 1 , give ops back their orbital strike or give them something like a decent reflective shield which punishes incoming melee attacks , or a counter to the leap.. as in something like I'll call "1-2 switcharoo" as in for a limited time , if your target attempts to leap to you , you swap places with them. thus negating their leap and in doing so when they land where you just left , you step on a booby trap which immobilizes your target for 2 seconds. 2. for Snipers , if you want to give us some survivability, give us some freaking credit for being SNIPERS.. give us some range ,,, when everyone has the about the exact same range as us and can knock us out of cover left and right.. what the hell good is another knockback? Give us something to negate all this reflecting DPS "flavor of the day JUGGS" BS.. do you realize how common it is to see 2 sorcs and 2 juggs in pvp? ranged dps is negated, reflected and made worthless while the sorcs just swap, bubble , innervate, shield, while the juggs dps, reflect, gain back health, become invincible, medpack, power stim and then... Haha ,, Then if you end up stalemating...( NO TIES) they just shield through or gain health through the green goo of death long enough to watch us die and claim victory.. Ive been playing this since launch.. you are forever taking away from us, and mercs.. why do you think mercs are a freaking joke in pvp.. Why do you do this? Why? Because the masses of snot nosed wanna be op kids and people who just get off on ganking everyone want their force users to always be guaranteed at the head of the table and who wants a 4 click rotation to guarantee him victory . Give the tech users a bit of credit for being tech users who have to out-think jedi.. 1. a utility with a Cd which could be : "Burrowing shot / Take THAT!" that either uses reflect against the jugg for trying it as in if a jugg tries reflect, then for the duration of the reflect, shots over charge shield generator and immobilize the Jugg with a stasis like effect.. The idea would be . instead of a sniper getting double to triple damaged plus healing his enemy who already has a much higher armor rating it could just negate the utility usage on both sides. "Mirror image" say like always , a niper is getting focused by the other 4 in the Pvp match or we are getting swarmed focussed by a boss. activate " Mirror image " and now they have to choose which is which for the next 6-10 seconds .. hey ,, if a Jugg gets a reflect for that long while getting to heal, then how about we get some credit for being Smart enough to be SPIES when so many force users can read / effect our minds... you guys are just being lazy with these changes.. how about give the ops back their original orbital,, not this pathetic useless orbital that is weaker than a hand grenade.. this is supposed to be a focused shot from a passing fighter.. and it is seriously ... weaker than a shotgun blast or a backstab,,,? WHAT??? "knockback, stun break, teleport
