  1. Resolve works perfectly fine. Myself and a fellow Shadow tested all manner of combination of stuns, roots, etc. Figured out rough values for each one. If used properly the Resolve bar is your best friend.
  2. Not true. I also play Infiltration when I am bored. It is pretty damn good. You do not have the solo power that Kinetic does, but you perform very well in the group setting. Taunting, high burst, interrupts. Its all in how you play. -Lonestar/Dalamar
  3. I have to say if you nerf the Kinetic tree at all you will break it for PvE. The smart Shadow tanks just realize that if you gear a certain way you can put up great numbers and survive if you play well. Not everyone pulls this off. -Lonestar/Dalamar
  4. "Han Solo" should totally be a Class name.
  5. I agree, one of the things I loved about my Smuggler was the cliche'-ness of the AC. Pistol Whips, Kicks to the Groin, Punches with the classic 1970's sound effect and the sometimes perfectly timed *Heh Heh Heh* after bringing someone to their knees with a swift kick to the stones. I really hope there is some glitch where it is playing a "grunt" sound and not removing that great effect. I mean it is also useful for those of us who use the sound as an UH count. -Lonestar/Dalamar
  6. Yes there is one very good reason I can think of. The Shadow.
  7. My stats, (self buffed, no group buffs) and well as far as damage is concerned looks like Kinetic spec with the right mods and such does good. I wasn't Guarding a healer just throwing out taunts and annoying healers. http://i.imgur.com/8ayKj.jpg I will probably get the wow your stats suck tells but I do very well in the PVP setting. -Lonestar/Dalamar
  8. I suggest trying it when you happen to get the tokens. It is very powerful, mind you "powerful" not godly. There are plenty of times where you will get out played. With the limited self-healing, you have to play smart and really know what your opponent can do to you. Almost like a Triage situation you need to prioritize who you deal with first. If I have a healer or another Kinetic specd Shadow, we can hold against a great opposition. Cross-Taunting and Guard swapping is so much fun. I really enjoy this class. I am not biased however. It is not the only one I play I have another lvl 50 which i mainly run Operations with. -Lonestar/Dalamar
  9. Since I do not use a Shield gen I do not need Absorb. So I was looking at other AC gear and noticed that the JK Guardian BM gear had these cool END/DEF/SURGE Enhancements on them. So I swapped those in where the Absorb mods were. In turn getting rid of a stat that I am not using and boosting my DPS by quite a bit. I still had 41% Damage Reduction and 22% Defenst on my gear along with 30% Crit and 76% Surge rating.
  10. I beg to differ. Kinetic Shadows, if Modded correctly can do amazing burst, outlast most opponents, keep a healer locked down, defend a node against 2-3-4 till help arrives. 31/0/10. Scrap the shield gen, get a good Focus and stack the END/DEF/SURGE Enhancements found on Battlemaster JK Guardian PVP armor, swap in some Rakata MODS, carry about 500 Expertise. 30% crit and 76% surge as a Tank is pretty substantial. Combine that with about 40% damage reduction, 20%+ Defense, two self heals, Relic/Consumables. Hell 1/2 the time I do more damage than the pure DPS spec AC's. I admit I feel that the Tank spec Shadows are really powerful if played and geared properly. Lonestar/Dalamar
  11. Yes, get creamed for a month. It makes you a better player. We ALL had to grind out gear out. (with the exception of the Illum fiasco) Just because you hit 50 a month or two after the game is out, does not mean you should just be handed gear to compete with everyone else. I have a PVE main and a PVP alt. I hit 50 and fought "Baddiemasters" and creamed them. Sometimes it isn't about gear, but about how you play your class. Sorry, flame away but I HATE the sense of entitlement that MMO players have. -Lonestar/Dalamar
  12. Teamwork shows who the real Battlemasters are and who the Baddiemasters are.
  13. Me personally Cunning,Alacrity,Crit/Surge. Having fast heals in PVP and PVE is great, Surge is amazing as well for landing huge heals and in a PVP setting where heals are nerf'd bigger heals is always a win in my book. Having to heal through big burst on Hard Modes and Operations, fast heals save the day, sometimes that 1/4 of a second means someone living or dying. Speaking of stats, anyone know if there is a "soft-cap" on crit/surge? I am trying to balance things, 39% crit 80% surge and 12.5% activation speed right now.
