  1. There is an absolute sh*t ton of mercs on my server, any time i check the /who for a given planet they are 2:1 or better higher than ANY other class, let alone PT. Its the damn 1 blaster thing I think, the npcs basically laugh in your face if you roll PT. They should get a blaster rifle, shotgun, something. To be some hulking armored tank with 1 tiny blaster just puts people off. Which is a damn shame because PT has all the other BH goodies people want, grappling cable, jet charge, freezing people in carbonite, etc.
  2. Yeah if you go pyrotech you already get power shot, which does slightly more dmg than tracer missile. Thermal detonator hits way harder than either of them. Unless you go full arsenal and buff up tracer and get heatseeker theres not much point in using it.
  3. What if you are a healing IA/BH? Then you'd be wishing you had kaliyo instead. They can't make the starting companion fit every playstyle for every character. Everyone gets healy-butler-droid at like lvl 16 anyway so who cares.
  4. Thats a great idea, hell even if it was a 2m cooldown and shieldtech can reduce it 1m 45s. Just the ability to have it for an emergency oh sh*t moment and be able to jet up a cliff or onto a platform like almost any BH fan always dreamed of doing would be so worth it. Maybe add to the afterburner talent and have it make jet boost also a safe fall? That seems like a real easy fix that could add some jet pack functionality.
  5. This makes the most sense and has been suggested by lots of people in lots of threads since beta. Fusion or heatseeker should be the heavy duty rocket pack missile since they do the most dmg, tracer should use the fusion or missile blast animation since they are smaller ones you spam. It just seems so obvious I dont know why it was even conceived like the way it is now.
  6. You can do tracer missile/powershot-rapid-tracer-rapid-tracer-rapid for eternity and never gain any heat. Every tree has not only a way to vent heat but most contain an upgrade to the actual Vent Heat ability as well. I really never find it to be a problem unless I try to just go all out and DFA/flamthrower/unload/tracer spam to burn something down asap. I kind of like how its not the same old boring mana/energy bar that most classes have. Also there is an ability like last poster described, Heat Blast or something? The 31pt ability in shield tree.
  7. The belt I got killing random trash droids on dromund kaas, the ones on the way to the dark temple.
  8. Obi had nothing but luck in almost every fight. He is outmatched in almost every fight we see him in. He got past Jango by luck, both on the ground and in ships. Grievous kicked the crap out of him and he got out of that with luck too. Darth Maul he got lucky too, Maul was just toying with him and overconfident, Obi had no shot otherwise. Same with Anakin, he seemed to be tired and outmatched but found a convenient terrain advantage. Obi wan always seemed to me to have good defense and incredibly good luck, but was never exactly a powerhouse when it came to fighting.
  9. Didn't Zam use both a rifle and a blaster at some point? I know I've at least seen promotional pictures of her holding both of them, if not in the actual movie.
  10. The easiest solution would be swap grapple and jet charge for powertechs. Make grapple the tank exclusive one and jet charge the base ability for all PT. That way the tanks still have their cool unique move. Then make jet boost fly you backwards 15 ft or something in addition to the knockback. This would give Mercs a cool jetpack move but its balanced by having to use situational awareness, you dont want to jet yourself off a cliff or something lol. Maybe have unload jet you in the air briefly like DFA too, like jango when he flew up guns blazing against obi wan. I wouldn't really want jetpacks as speeders, they don't really seem to be an extended flight kinda thing, more for quick bursts.
