  1. I don't understand what all this "Tracer Missile/Grav Round SPAMMING" is. I'm a Commando, and I don't SPAM my Grav Round. I hit it THREE times to get my full stacks and then I hit all of my other buttons. I get a defense buff, it makes my High Impact Bolt more damaging, and it applies an armor debuff to you - all of these stack 5 times, but with talents most of it only takes 3 shots (2 applications per shot). So I only have to hit Grav Round THREE times and then I'm done spamming it. This is my usual PvP technique: 1. THREE Grav Rounds 2. Then I use High Impact Bolt, Demolition Round, and Full Auto. 3. I'm also busy using Concussive Charge on the dang Operatives and Assassins that like to sit behind me and poke me in the back. 4. I'm also looking for when I see 2 or more enemies next to each other to hit them with Plasma Grenade. 5. I'm also looking to see if you were dumb enough to stand near a ledge so I can knock you off of it (yeah, I'm that guy who blew you off the bridge in Voidstar from like a mile away). 6. I'm also making sure I can keep you interrupted or LOS'd to mitigate any damage I may be taking from you. I am a Commando. I am also a good player. Good Commandos (and Mercenaries) DO NOT SPAM. We utilize all of our abilities as necessary. Most of the idiots that cry about spamming are too stupid to realize that we're using other skills. Also, the bad players don't like to admit that they're just bad, so they claim that we're OP and using only one ability to beat them so it must be our class that's better and not just us. Truth is, scrubs, you suck. I'm not using only one ability, I'm just better than you.
  2. I completely support this idea! The game would run perfect for me if I could just reduce my viewing distance. That's the only problem I have with performance. I don't give a rat's *** if I can see a mountain-range that's so far away - I want my game to run smoothly! When I turn my camera real fast (which is necessary in PvP) I get a semi-slideshow, at the very least a hiccup as those stupid mountain ranges have to pop onto my screen. I don't want to see far away, I just want to be able to move around and turn my camera without lagging!! My PC runs this game just fine, that's the only thing that's wrong with it. Same as every other game. I can have them all on max graphics, but I have to reduce the viewing distance to about 50%.
  3. Dude, you're playing an MMORPG. This type of game functions on an RNG combat system, meaning I hit an attack and there's a bunch of math things that go on to calculate damage. Maybe I crit, maybe I miss, maybe you dodge, etc... It's not possible to be 100% based on skill. The only video games that can be completely based on skill are First Person Shooters, where everybody has equal everything. Even fighting games like Mortal Kombat aren't entirely skill-based, as each character has weaknesses and strengths. If you want a fair fight, you better get away from MMORPGs. RNG is anything but fair...
  4. Everybody complains about the horrible system for getting geared for PvP. It is by far the worst system I've ever seen in a game, and I even played Fury! Nobody likes RNG for anything, especially getting gear! We hate it for boss drops, which is why that unnamed major mmo uses a currency system in addition to boss drops. We hate it for pvp, which is why this game will lose a huge chunk of its playerbase unless they change that. My idea: Instead of having these stupid "bags", just unlock items at the vendor for us when we obtain a certain Valor rank. For example: I can buy half the Centurion stuff at Valor rank 20, the other half at Valor rank 30. I can buy half the Champion stuff at Valor rank 40, the other half at Valor rank 50. Battlemaster at rank 60 and 70. This way, I have to grind just as much as I do now, but I can at least MEASURE it! Relying on RNG to give me duplicate items is not fun. Make the items purchaseable with credits, but don't let me buy them until I achieve the appropriate Valor rank. Your current system is stupid. "Oh hey, let me buy a Champion bag to get Centurion commendations, of which it takes a whole bunch of and I'll probably be decked out in Champion (better) gear before ever getting a piece of Centurion gear, OR I won't have any Champion gear because I'm just unlucky like that and I got a ton of duplicates..." I just really hate your PvP system in its entirety. Fire your PvP department and hire monkies. Horrible vendors, horrible currency, horrible mechanics, horrible maps (jumppad ftl!). I'm not even complaining about imbalance, because I know that will happen in every mmorpg and is to be expected. But the other things I listed should NOT be horrible and its unacceptable that they suck so damn much. No excuses - people told you how bad your PvP system was a long time ago way back even in the early stages of Beta and none of you listened.
  5. Anybody know where to get the missions for Rich Yield Class 6 Lockboxes for Slicing? I'm at 400 Slicing and I didn't get one, so I'm guessing it's probably from a Mission Discovery?
  6. I agree with you OP. I was doing a 4 man group quest on Voss yesterday and I kept thinking to myself..."This is slow. If a mob dies at 'x' speed when I kill it myself, and this one is tuned for 4 players, shouldn't it die at the same 'x' speed if 4 players are fighting it? I shouldn't notice a difference in the speed of the kill, unless I'm doing it with less than 4 players..." It was very boring just sitting there watching health bars go down slowly. They weren't even bosses. I understand that bosses are supposed to be a huge fight and the boss has lots of health...but just trash mobs? Sure, they don't have as much as a boss, but it's so boring spending forever killing them. I agree, they should add some awesome abilities to the trash mobs and reduce their health. That way, you have to pay attention instead of just zone out.
  7. This game isn't based on the movies at all. It's KOTOR 3, that's been said by the devs multiple times. There's TONS of purple crystals in the KOTOR games. And there's tons more in the rest of the Expanded Universe.
  8. Yeah, leveling in WoW i would barely ever see another player. Especially now with Heirlooms, Recruit a Friend, and leveling through Dungeon Finder (which is just an amazing way to level, btw). In this game, there's tons of people in the Fleets (capital cities). And sure, there might not be a packed zone when you're at lower levels, but that's a good thing. They do it that way on purpose, by making different instances of the same zone so that people don't have to compete for quest mobs. When you get to around level 35-40, and you go to Hoth and Belsavis and above, there's only ONE instance of that planet. That means that everybody on that planet, is all in the same instance. There's less people at that level, but I have to see them all at once. And yes, there's competition for quest mobs. So just wait until you're a higher level, and you won't be in that Instancing stuff, and you'll see plenty of players.
  9. You're having trouble not getting too high of a level for the quests? That must be nice >.> I keep having trouble with finishing a planet and moving on to the next one while I'm still below it's recommended level. Like, I was level 39 when I went to Belsavis which is 41-44. I do every side quest, every bonus quest. The only things I don't do are Flashpoints and most of the group quests. They take too long to get groups for, and with Flashpoints - most groups are a nightmare.
  10. Right there...just be quiet. That makes absolutely no sense. Find a bridge. Swan dive. Dual Spec does not "lead to" anything. Get off your slippery slope argument and go say something not completely illogical. What does Dual Spec have to do with the storyline? I agree that BioWare wants me to level up multiple classes to see their different storylines. What does that have to do with me changing my spec IN THE SAME CLASS? I'm not going to make another character OF THE SAME CLASS to have a different talent spec with it. I already have the option of respeccing, however it costs a lot of money to do it often. Dual Spec just makes it so that I don't have to spend money every time. You can't expect someone who is a Healer in raids to forever be spec'd as a healer if he wants to go out and some some quests on his own. Same for tanks. They shouldn't have to "pay the price" to do solo content when they're not doing raids. The days before dual spec in WoW sucked ***. How does this solve a "FoTM" problem? If something is this month's particular Flavor, people will respec to it, whether they have dual spec or not. Most PvPers will have 1 spec for PvE and 1 spec for PvP. Or, in WoW, 1 spec for BGs and 1 spec for Arenas. Not having dual spec doesn't mean that we won't respec every patch... So, a guild shouldn't force me to be a specific role with my class - they should just force me to reroll into a different class? And what's this mysterious problem you speak of? I'm pretty sure the problem is morons like you. "Oh you should never be allowed flexibility! Your character is permanent! You can't have TWO specs!! You get one and that's final! Level up another toon if you want to be able to choose between Healing and DPSing!".
  11. I paid 40k for the skill and 8k for the bike itself. I had almost 100k at level 25. Slicing is nice
  12. You can't do this to level all the way to 50, because then you wouldn't have any of the rest of your companions Same as PvP, gotta do the storyline to get them. Anyways though, you don't make any credits from Slicing (not splicing) by just sending your crew out on those creditbox missions. Most of the time they don't contain anything more than what it cost you to send them out. And there's no way you got a 5k creditbox with only 40 or 50 Slicing skill...you actually take a LOSS from sending your crew out on missions until you reach a Slicing skill of 150+. You make a ton more credits if you were out doing quests on the ground and Slicing things on the ground, while also sending your droid companion on Slicing missions. You can also make good xp by just grinding mobs like an Asian MMO. Just find a spot that has Strong mobs that don't hit too hard and grind away. It's incredibly boring, and you'll want to shoot yourself, but it works. At level 35, a strong mob was giving me 565xp per kill, and a quest would give about 10-20k. So if I could kill about 30-35 Strong mobs faster than I could go out and quest, I'd get faster xp. It's easy to do, seeing as most quest make you travel and then you gotta go back to turn them in, and blah blah blah. But, it's incredibly boring to grind. Oh and you also don't get any good rewards for doing the space stuff, so that's another reason not to do that to level up. You went from 17 to 24, and I bet you had a hard time killing stuff at level 24. Well, maybe - 24 is still low enough to not have a hard time. But if you went from 30 to 40, you'd be in big trouble if you went to fight anything after having done only space combat.
  13. It takes a long time to get to level 50. Especially if you don't play hardcore, it could take you about 3 months to get to level 50. Also, it seems to me that most of this game is about the leveling process itself. I like it that way. I feel like I'm actually participating in things and I'm only level 36. I don't have to be level 50 to go do the super cool stuff like kill Jedis. So, if I'm supposed to feel special before level 50, why can't I have the color of crystal that I want before level 50?
  14. Show me the craftable Purple color crystal. Not the "Magenta" one that comes from a rare world boss. And I don't mean "Epic" quality. I mean the color of the blade is Purple. Not. Craftable. All we get is Orange at 400.
