  1. The fact I am against addons and macros (well, my dark side really isn't, but I will not let myself be guided by that) does not mean I hate WoW. I love WoW. I'm a long time player, and I have lots of raiding and PvP experience. And I will possibly even buy the next expansion ( ), but I really want SWTOR to be different (for as long as possible, because I understand that BW will eventually allow addons). BW/LA did a wonderful job creating a very immersive atmosphere with all those quest dialogs, seamless instances and everything in between. I want to enjoy this atmosphere, and the default interface is (mostly) fine. In WoW I cant imagine playing without at least a dozen addons. In SWTOR, I even enjoy it.
  2. I would really like to see more customization options in the game, but I would seriously hate to see this game become a SW themed WoW... Perhaps the best option would be making interface elements behave like lego bricks, so you could move the main elements (minimap, chat, quest pane) to several preset locations. That could preserve interface consistency and allow for multi screen players to organize a neat centered HUD. But DPS meters, BossMods, SpellAlerts destroy the authenticity of the game feel. If you need to find the best rotation - Believe me, best theorycraft is done on paper... or just find some ElitistJerks who will tablespoon feed you with the perfect rotation. If you need BossMods - Learn to read visual cues from the bosses. It will make your eye sharper and reflexes better in the long run. If you need Spell alerts/Buff reminders - You should learn to count to 8 or whatever you cc lasts for. With practice, you will just feel how long it lasts. In a world with AddOns that play for you, the winner is the one who has the right addons and sets them better. I'd like to see SWTOR a world of game skill and not macro jugglers and addon masters.
  3. This indeed was a very smooth launch. And yes, I saw the gazillion of "where is my invite" posts (considering i pre-ordered on Decemeber 11 and got in on 16 - BioWare really did a good job) And yes, I see the gazillion of "omg 2h qq" posts about a few selected servers, when you have servers at the same time with "Light" population. Come on people, just switch server, its not like you have spent half a year playing there...
  4. Intel Core i3 Radeon HD 5550 8GB Ram Graphics on Medium, VSync off, Bloom OFF (just hate the effect) runs at 50-60FPS easy. That's a medium-low end machine, so check your gears... P.S. Pardon my ignorance, but since when "computer support" became an academic degree?
