  1. Dirty Dancing was not even close to a 'horrible' movie!
  2. The easiest way to feel better about yourself is to belittle someone else. Then you can rationalize that while maybe your life isn't what you wanted or expected, at least you aren't ___________________ (insert whoever or whatever you are degrading). And for people who get angry or roll their eyes when people call out all the negativity and hate sometimes, what happened to you to make you so cold? We all get hurt, we've all had people be mean and cruel to us, and maybe sometimes we can convince ourselves that other people deserve it back, and that's just the way it is, but it's your choice to continue like that. You don't have to if you don't want to.
  3. WE SHALL DANCE THE PANDA DANCE. Soon. <3 <3
  4. I love dancing with the enemy hahaha. Though sometimes I /love and /hug someone I know, and they don't know the character I'm on and they take that verrrrry poorly, hahaha. I think overall, people are too tightly wound in pvp matches. I try to be lighthearted and fun sometimes and people just react so harshly. My guild and I usually joke around in ops chat too, ridiculous nonsense, not making fun of anyone, just having a good time, sometimes trying to bond with other guilds, and sometimes they reciprocate... and sometimes they are like 'DIE IN A FIRE NOOB'. Which makes me a sad panda
  5. I miss my old Aussie friends from JJT too! I've been chatting with one who left the game about two months ago, trying to get him to come back now the servers are merging, haha.
  6. Yaaaa I didn't call you anything, and didn't make any broad assumptions about 'straight men' being monsters, I did talk about my specific experience with men on this server though, I guess maybe that's an assumption? Full of prejudice and hate? What a terrible world we would live in if saying 'some of the terrible things I hear men say to women in my guild is really upsetting' would make me 'hateful' and 'prejudiced' towards men. But thanks for freaking out on me for sharing my experience with people who weren't you on this server, taking that personally, and then calling me a bigot. It was very big of you to qualify your attacks on me with statements like "I have gay friends and would totally play with them", "I totally respect women" and "Now that Im doing smearing **** on this guys face, Im going to respectfully bow out of the conversation".
  7. You can friend my main mate, Messalla. I usually pvp with guildies, but if we have a spot I'll take you along. Feel free to whisper me whenever. I'll take anyone really, I don't mind meeting new people!
  8. Get over it. She has the right to share her experience, if that is how she felt, why do you think you have the right to be offended by it? It's not personal, it's not about you. If her experience bothers you, instead of making it personal and getting insulted, try to be a little empathetic, and call out your friends when you see and hear him doing the sort of **** she has to experience. Try to make the game a place where that experience won't happen, so you won't have to hear it and get insulted. As a gay man, I can understand why a guild or community like this can exist. I started this game in Rough Trade/Taint which are an LGBTQ focused guild community. I left it as my focus is in pvp and wanted to find other like-minded people to fully enjoy the game. My guild now is mostly straight men, and some of the **** they say to women and about other women is just repulsive sometimes. Sorry if any of you are reading this. I think a lot of guys just don't realize how much space they take and how aggressive they are sometimes. I don't think it's always intentional, but it is what it is.
  9. I had to stop reading this thread after someone suggested chemical warfare has never been used since WW1. It made my head hurt. Not hurt as much as say, a new mother giving birth to a horrifically deformed baby in Vietnam, but my head still hurts.
  10. Why are you being so rude and mean to someone for just sharing their experience? I don't hit like a baby, and I still get it from people. But MOSTLY I get it from my own teammates while we're waiting for the match to start, which is even sadder, imo. I had one guy who had the same build and hair and facial hair as my character, but his hair was white (and he was mirialan green) and I was all like "DADDY IS THAT YOU?! We look the same haha" and he replied with something along the lines of "Uh no I don't have a ****** kid, do I look like a ***** to you?" which was just completely inappropriate and unnecessary. There's no reason to ever talk to someone like that.
  11. I don't mind if people spit or laugh or tease and joke around with /say. I talk to the enemy in wz's all the time, but always in good humour not to harass anyone lol. I only get bothered when people start saying racist/homophobic things and calling people names and the like, it's just too much. I don't know that anything in a game is ever a good enough reason to say those things to someone, and I always hope that the person saying it would never have the nerve to say those things to peoples faces. :/ My main, Messalla is what I consider southeast asian, but people always call me 'black' and get super racist on me in warzones all the time, it's uncomfortable.
  12. Here are some imperfect and ridiculous polaroids of me, then scrambled together in a collage, and then snapped by a camera phone in some hipster-meta-instagram ******. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v67/Ambientboi/POTATO/polaroids_zpse196fbda.jpg
  13. Apparently it's just us? How lame.
  14. I'm a huge van of NESW instead of 'left' and 'right'. It's the best for calling Voidstar Doors, it's also useful as a Sorc in Huttball when Im calling on my team as to which platforms I am on and able to pull the ball carrier (North or South). Left and Right is subjective as to which way you are facing, instinct could pull the person in the wrong direction. The cardinal directions are absolute.
