  1. Just got booted, so yep. Servers took a nose dive.
  2. As far as leveling goes, it's a lot better now than it used to be. While it's true you can hit max level by planet 3, I'm absolutely fine with that. There's a freedom in not having to worry about having to do the story mode for every damned planet in the galaxy, especially on planets I absolutely hate(looking at you, Taris.) As someone who's going for that "legendary" title, I'd really prefer it that way. As well, it makes it much easier for you to get a new toon into the new content, rather than having to slough through the entirety of the new content just to try out a new class in late-game.
  3. ... Oh. You mean going and finding a random group just by entering the FP, right? I've heard nothing, and I don't think that'd be a very solid way to put a group together.
  4. Why not just lock gear? It'll stay in until requirements are met, giving you access and use of it, but if its removed, it's unable to be put back in until the requirements are met. There's only a few gears that even have a light side/dark side requirement, mainly relics, so I don't think this will be abused that much.
  5. I love my Assassin tank spec'd. Not only do you have a lot of spammable AoE for PvE to get aggro (a feature that I hated with Guardians... lack therof) They are quite survivable and do pretty good damage for tanks. I love that they can also stealth off and run away if they just get too damaged. It's saved my life quite a few times now, especially in Huttball.
  6. If you can change the colors on it, it'd be fine. If not, let me laugh and cringe at the same time.
  7. Morality is a bit screwy on the Imperial side, period. Generally, the choices are basically between bad and worse, even in storylines. On the Republic side, the choices are more clear-cut. But the Republic isn't based on the principles of the Light side in the same way the Dark side rules the Empire, so there's a lot more leeway, and less people watching your every move. ICly, that is.
  8. Snipers are a lot of fun to play. Operatives.. are just a bit OP, and from what I'm seeing, they're getting hit pretty hard with the nerf bat. I'd wait till the dust settles to try an agent, period. Otherwise the class is going to change on you right as soon as you get used to how they play.
  9. Firefly makes me angry. I get to the end, and then I'm just mad that there's nothing else after it. Damn you, Fox. Did you try Stargate: Universe? It's got the documentary style like BSG, but without the political BS. And it actually feels like they're living on the edge of survival. Try Eureka? It's got a lot of sciency fiction stuff without overloading you with the "science". Campy, fun, and you can drop right in without knowing what went on previously and be just fine. Decent effects, too. And I'd say Adam would have made a better Bounty Hunter.
  10. Think about it. We're playing at the very peak of the Jedi's power and influence. Yes, they were just dealt a crushing blow by losing the Temple, but they've been dealing with Sith for years, if not decades, on end. While three thousand years later, the Galactic Republic is at it's height and power, and while the Jedi Order is still powerful and respected, they've mainly been at peace for centuries. Most Jedi have probably never seen the business end of a Lightsaber in a fight, and there are more scholars and diplomats than warriors. Even the idea of surviving Sith teachings is kept closely guarded by the Masters. In this timeline, there are probably thousands of Jedi floating about, by the time the movies come about, that number probably has decreased to hundreds. They were wholly unprepared for a fight, hell, the Republic didn't even maintain a standing army. Stagnation has a way of dulling the senses, which is why Sideous won. He played both sides, to him it didn't matter who won, just that the Republic was weakened enough for him to fulfill a takeover. Not to mention, he was a diabolical genius.
  11. Unless there's like four Operatives/Scoundrels on the team, in which case, you're screwed. This has been happeneing more and more recently lately, whole teams of Operatives, just tearing the WZs apart. I can't see four Sentinels/Marauders, Juggernauts/Guardians, Assassins/Shadows, or any Bounty Hunter/Trooper as having as much of a difference as four Operatives/Scoundrels on the same team. No other single class makes that much of an impact on any WZ.
  12. I'll say that I've never played SW:G right off. But I'll say that the absolute lack of anything after level 50 is going to bore most players right off the system. There's nothing really to do past 50, except, (yay.) more leveling. Except this time, it's Valor leveling. So, your choices are basically just play with the same eight to sixteen players indefinitely playing the same three warzones, and/or collect warheads on Ilum. What. The. ****. Granted, the game is new. But the crafting system is almost a joke, and almost completely useless to you after you hit that level 50. There's nothing to create, no storyline you can follow. You can't really make your own story, since you've been guided on rails for fifty levels, your character is set. You're literally stuck running in circles. I love the idea of the game. I think it's got a lot of potential. But it's got a lot of work if it wants to keep players around. More sandboxing would be <3.
  13. It had the potential to be a great cinematic event. Unfortunately, the screwed the pooch with a cast of some rather poor actors, a convoluted plot, and relying on CGI to tell the story rather than actually telling the story. Sure, the visuals were amazing, but if you want to cringe every time the main character opens his mouth, somethings wrong. And that jackhole Jar-Jar and the entire Gungan race. I was rooting for the droids.
  14. Lazy listing happens because the ability to look up current pricing standards in game is godawful to nonexistent. Half the time, I don't price by what it probably will be worth, I price it for what that particular level could probably part with for it. And lately, I've only thrown exceptional items in or items I've crafted blindly with no real idea what their value actually is. It's pretty sad that a game like Runescape has a better system for auctioning off items.
