  1. Shameless and pointless necroquote, but I found this hilarious. Kudos. Anyway, I would recommend you start as her being a sorc and you being a warrior, or vice versa. I find Korriban to be, by far, the easiest and least annoying starting planet, and I think if she gets bored early, she'll be much more likely to not want to play. If she isn't annoyed right away, she might get more sucked in. Although you'll have to pick your server wisely, because some of the Korriban general chats are the most wretched of wretched hives of scum and villainy.
  2. Good points, and I agree with both. I just don't know if the general populus of maras/sentinels will.
  3. I do like the Run and Gun idea and everything below it, but i don't know about that missle blast 6s slow, because A.) We can spam it; it would kill our heat and not be a very practical source of dps, but just because we CAN will make other classes cry nerf, because they won't see our side of it--all they'll see is "INSTANT CAST SLOW *** OP NERF MERCS AND OPS" B.) Powertechs would get PO'd because they wouldn't get it and they'd claim to be jipped. I think its fine as is, but others wouldn't, so i'd propose putting a shorter slow or maybe even a short CD on it.
  4. I was looking at the PvP Healing thread sticky thingy, and I saw the pugilist build. The idea interests me, but the link's outdated. Which gives me a couple questions; 1) Is it still viable? Afaik 1.2 to 1.3 didn't make many changes but hey, maybe i'm missing it. 2) Can someone link a modernized variant? I have a pretty good idea, but there are a couple of points i was debating on throwing around. Further off topic, are more hybridy hybrid builds worth anything in the endgame pvp?
  5. Well, i gotta say, i was doing some more vengeance pvp today keeping in mind the points you made earlier and I am noticing things to be better. I'm still not totally convinced as to if its better or not, but consider me intrigued and hesitant to jump on the Rage wagon again. Not that anyone cares, but just for the record. Don't hate it if you haven't tried it, you might be surprised
  6. But is more damage=better? In a PvP scenario total damage is not as important as kills (in my opinion, anyway, some people just love seeing the big damage number at the end and don't care if they've got 2 kills) and in my experience Rage's burst is just too much to handle over sustained Vengeance. And you neglected to mention that the reason Vengeance doesnt have to wait on CDs is because the sustained dps has more buttons, as it should being sustained dps. But again, more=\= better.
  7. The way i see this-which, mind you, is from a relatively casual player and is rudimentary compared to some other perspectives- is that Vengeance is only better than Rage where you need that little bit of extra damage that Rage doesn't get in a burst. Problem is, the sustained dps of vengeance is obviously slower. So, you have to factor in the idea that in a longer fight, will vengeance's extra damage pay off? Or would it still be faster to go Rage and just do a part of the initial burst sequence twice? In a "longer fight," one might get two force screams, etc. that could be used to get that extra "umph" to finish them off after the burst. So, i guess what i'm saying is: Vengeance is better than Rage if one enters a fight in which the length is longer than Rage's initial burst and follow-up, but not so long as to where the Juggernaut's mildly more powerful abilities are coming off the CD. Not factoring in the idea that Vengeance is much easier to heal through, being drawn out with its weak dots...it does have the enhanced utility, but you can grab the better points there in a Rage build anyway, if you felt like it. Now even after saying all of that, i'll be the first to say I like Vengeance more than Rage for everything, as it is more fun and challenging, and just "feels" better to me. But in order to be better than Rage, you need to have a very particular situation where they aren't healing, and taking enough damage to survive one burst but not a burst and a half. If that makes any sense whatsoever...That was a lot longer than intended >.<
  8. SHE CAN USE 2 LIGHTSABERS?!!?!? But yeah, I've got her geared in oranges and blues, but still having trouble against multiple strong or elite mobs, I end up turning into a tank of sorts. Which leads me to believe if I use her i should spec Darkness, but I don't really want to do that. I'll have to check on the abilities though, might have undone something in there somewhere
  9. What would be the best way to go about doing this? Currently I'm madness specced but it seems like I'm doing less damage than my guildies claim to be doing with her. Am I missing out on something here?
