  1. Wow. And here i wanted to complain that after 6 FE HM runs with semi constant group of sent+sage+shadow+random dps we got 1st run - sent armour 2-6 - 5 pieces of trooper armour. >_< this not so random kinda sux.
  2. I do not mind randomness. In fact, after a year of Aion i am VERY used to it. But. After running 6 HM False Emperor FP we got 1 jedi knight armour (first run) and 5 (FIVE!) trooper armours. We had a semi constagroup (sent+sage+shadow+gunslinger/sent/dps guardian once) and there were no troopers around. I mean it ... five times ... same useless item. Can you say this is just "random"?
  3. And I am going to whine a bit now. Heavey armour ppl can get their belt bracers. Light armour can get belt from fleet vendor / bracers on GNT Med armour SMUGGLER can get their set too! .. .... ..... Sentinels .... have no option here as we do not have a moddable med armour belt/bracers that is not class restricted. *sigh* To the topic. Crafted purple is better than moddable till you can get to lvl 50 and mod it with stuff from HM OPS. Untill then - your best option is to use crafted items. BUT. With moddable gear you have more versatility and can select mods as per your wish and do not have to bother with somewhat userUNfriendly RE system. SO it is your call.
  4. In the beginning I though enrage timers are insane and bosses one shot everything. But with a bit of practice it turned out to be quite manageable. As was mentined above, with daily slotted gear you can kill bosses without enrage timer. We did so with FE, Battle for Illum, Taral V. In some very rare situation boss DID hit enrage - it was usually due to some wrong moves from our side (dps got random hit and died..happens...rarely). And even then enrage is only 200% dmg dealt. In most cases this is NOT insta kill. Well ... three hits usually kill tank with no defencive CD. but you CAN survive and boss should already be at his last 5k-7k HP. So my advice:1 1) try different party setup. We are currently playing with sentinel gunslinger kinetic shadow healing sage and IMO this is a very nice group. 2) Get VoiP. Communication is vital. If you can talk to other groupmembers you can react faster. Even if you can not gather all 4 ppl - you can always use skype to coordinate 2 ppl. And that is >>>>> than 0 coordination 3) Practise. Simple as that. Also you can find other FP more easy. We failed our Taral V end boss a lot before we killed it. Yet we have finished FE with easy on our first run. Same with Battle for illum (wiped one time on the end boss). TLDR. Enrage can be considered lame. Yet if you play correctly (not uberplayer, not hardcore player. Just play well) - you will not encounter it.
  5. Regarding money situation I have but one question. Why even bother? Seriously. There is absolutely no use to money at end game aside from repair costs. As you can make from dailies on illum 100k (incl trash sell) that can cover any repairs. So why bother with "biochem maker moar!!!" and "i need moar moneyz!!!" rants? I am not a biochem but I am quite content with the situation. I use iltimate green medpacks and blue lvl 48 endurance / might stims. I do not bother crying over "ohhh i can not get extra +18 from rakata". Sure, adrenals are powerful but ... they are not "game breaking" or even "you can not play without them" powerful. Sure, I have not been doing any nightmare ops. ANd frankly ... I am more than happy with HM content and pvp on alts pre 50.
  6. Did the place yesterday. You need to interrupt his abilities (for safety just interrupt everythink. If you have a sentinel he can do it alone in watchman spec). If you have hard time coordinationg - just tell everyone to interrupt his aoe as it hits for a LOT. Enrage has three indicators: 1) Boss glows red 2) Boss has an enrage symbol on him (small red head) 3) You all start to die very very quickly Most ppl notice the third par
  7. A small addition: everyone in blues will never have 15000 hp. And if they have greens - they wil have even less Especially a dps oriented classes. So aim for 13000-14000
  8. /gquit Seriously. There is no other option. OR In case you actually think that they are correct in their action and that sentinel sux ... chardelete.
  9. I did more tests today and ... it seems like there was some sort of glitch with my dmg. I removed and reequipped everything and .. lo and behold.... Merciless started to hit for abt 2000-2500 steadily. This is an improvement. THough not by much *sigh*. after some testing i have not seen a single crit (even though buffed crit rating was 40%). Maybe my char does not want to be a watchman >_< At any rate, will be switching back to combat today. And, as I have also gathred some data on the amount of time i needed to kill all those "test subjects" aka gold sith marauder mobs - I can make comparisson now and see how much time difference with combat tree I have regarding mob slaying. Thank you all for the positive imput (and even though in some cases it was not ... that positive... it was still there ).
  10. And here is a nice tidbit. Final skill in the tree: blade rush has 1 auto ataru strike "build in' BUT! It is also treated as a normal attack that can proc an ataru strike. That means that when you first use it - you have a 100%to get 1 ataru strike and 20% to get an additional one. And if you use another BR in the next 6 sec you have 50% to proc second ataru strike thus making BR spam a very high damaging move.
  11. regarding keybings you can always change the basic movement a bit from w-s-a-d to e-d-s-f. This way you have q-w-a from the left free to be bound and r-t-g from the right side. These are the binds that require little to no movement from your finger. Then you can bind some more on your mouse. I am using G700 and have 10 skills bound to mouse buttons. with those 6 it is almost enough to never click on the skill bar. Oh and you can use shift + E / D (again, to minimise finger movement) for two relics. Add s /f for medpack / adrenal if you want.
  12. From my experience it is close to impossible for a sentinel to kill a kinetic shadow (cant say much abt infiltration spec). KS is the idea sent killer due to the following: - VERY high shield chance means we lose most attack power from: slash, strike, merciless slash, cauterize basic dmg. - they have several 2 powerful CC: kick and stun (that is almost always ckilled for extra dmg) - against watchman specced ... good shadow knows to wait for three dots before poppoing a 5 sec cleance skill that makes you immune to all force/tech powers. And at the same time shield+high armour allows to to ignore the rest of the attacks - in case they really need to, they can use above and then combat cloak thus getting anohter opener/chance to rest and restore force and so on. And I also think the OP was trolling us in a way because the combat situation he describes was ... full of plot holes
  13. Does not bother me that much now actually. With two ppl CCing two droids (sent+gunslinger) killing other two is easy. It is just that during our first runs we had trouble with "normal" way and found this simple solution I do not plan to change it right now.
  14. *shrug* FE is pretty fast as you can skip quite a number of mobs, all bonus objectives and ofc bonus boss. Taral V is also fast, but above strategy (tanks adds etc) just did not work for us. Maybe it was miscoordination or something. Again, we found it MUCH easier and faster to pull it out of his room (thus you can avoid turret hassle/bonus objective) and into the room with the second floor (with big chest and 2 gold sith mobs). This way adds will take a while to run to you and will be clustered in that corridor - easy aoe targets. At any rate - everyone has his own preferences.
  15. Ok, i will repeat myself. I did not just do math - I looked at skill cost and the dmg. I tested it on gold sith marauders mobs (heroic2+ quest in Darkness on Illum) so the test group was consistent. Tests were done in a simple matter. Togetehr with a sage friend we killed silver trash while gold was CC. Then I started attacking gold (sage just healed me occasionally) while 1) using MS as often as I could while watching the dmg. 2) on the other mob using slash and watching the dmg. End result was - MS did subpar. I got the damage data I indicated earlier and all in all slash was hitting for more consistent and often bigger numbers. One more thing. Ppl who keep referring to gear. Once again, I am in fully moddable gear with daily comms +columi chest. It matters little though. This entire topic was created not because i think watchman does not have big hits, not because i want it to have big hits and not because I want to complain abt not killing things fast. The entire thing was created because I was extremely confused with the tooltip dmg of the skill and the actual numbers I saw it hit. That is all. I care little for it proccing burn dots or refreshing cauterize. I just want to understand why the dmg is so random. At any rate, I hope to get more data with further testing (belsavis area today).
