  1. I currently run in a NiM tfb group on the Jedi Covenant server but since recently moving to CA, I simply cannot raid with most of the ops groups on this east coast server anymore. I am wondering if it is even worth transferring servers but are any NiM tfb/snv guilds looking for a NiM ready melee dps and/or a pretty much ready NiM gunslinger (I share some gear between my scoundrel and gunslinger. The GS needs underworld lvl implants and a couple armorings)? I was a part of Ascension for quite some time until scheduling and personal feelings got in the way.
  2. Will this help on the lightning strike that Kelsara does in the first phase of the NiM Dread Guards fight? Does the effect apply on all attacks? I love you by the way.
  3. Have a TK Sage (in pretty much full 72's fully augmented) and a DF Scoundrel (in mostly 69's) looking for a more serious ops group. The Sage is pretty much NiM ready while the scoundrel needs a couple components. Parse around 2700 on my sage and 2600-2650 on my scoundrel. Can also heal on the Sage if need be.
  4. But in Scrapper (Conc.) you get the ability to knock them out with shoot first, a complete root, and the ability to make sneak give you a speed boost. While our roll is much more useful than the speed boost, sometimes you cannot sacrifice energy and you just need to move a little quicker. Also not sure what the imp ability is but Flechette Round is a VERY potent bleed. It does a lot of damage in a short time frame and since it is easy to get two off (using shoot first...first then using backblast when the bleed wears off), you get a lot of damage as a plus. While Leth. might give you a little more damage, the middle tree still in my opinion is better for pvp as it provides more for your team.
  5. More like mainstat>power>surge>alacrity>crit. Crit from crit rating is so *********** useless now as the DR curve on it is so awful. I am actually running an experiment with only power/alacrity enhancements (after getting accuracy up to 110%) and I am getting better dps because I can fit in a sab. charge before blaster whip gets off cooldown. I am about to try it with all blue lvl alacrity augments to see if the decrease in GCD offsets the lose of the mainstat. Prob not but might as well try. PvE Scrapper btw gave up on PvP a long time ago since it is so broken.
  6. LOL I noticed that from the get go and didn't even bother reading his whole post.
  7. And that's all I want; after testing it a little bit if you increase your alacrity just enough you can fit in a sab. charge while waiting for blaster whip to come off cooldown if you were not lucky enough to get a flying fist proc for upper hand. Even though I am having to default attack a little more my dps is increasing because surge is only beneficial if you have enough crit to actually use the surge. Alacrity provides a constant benefit of a lower GCD and for a spamming spec like Scrappers it is very useful.
  8. I'm sorry but your reasoning is just...yeah. Look Sents are already powerful enough if you want more alacrity then go combat. If you want more bonus damage then stack power. Alacrity is fine the way it is you are welcome to try it out but I have found that it is only useful for certain specs like Scrappers.
  9. I cannot speak on behalf of the PvP Scrappers (since I find PvP just broken and un-enjoyable now for any spec except combat sents or smasher guardians) but in PvE I find my Scrapper doing pretty well. I am in a guild where we cleared HM S&V within the first week or so and I parse around 50-100 dps less than the leading sentinel in my guild and I have not even come close to min/maxing. At the moment I am running an experiment to see if instead of having 5 power/surge enh./earpiece/implants switching them to power/alacrity. The reasoning behind this is what the OP quoted; our crit was hugely affected in 2.0. That being said, the benefit of surge is DIRECTLY associated with the amount of crit you have. Since I am running a no crit gear set, my crit chance is around 22% from my mainstat. Now alacrity gives you a CONSTANT benefit of lowering your global cooldown and it helps with recovering energy quicker. Since our base crit multiplier (surge) is at 50%, I am thinking that stacking alacrity (after reaching 110% tech accuracy of course) will provide a better benefit rather than stacking surge and hoping for one of those huge crits. Stacking alacrity would also allow us to fit in sab. charge while waiting for blaster whip to come off cooldown if we get unlucky with flying fists not procing. Now this mindset would go completely out the window if they just gave us a decent set bonus on the PvE gear. 15% extra crit chance on blaster whip...really? Put that on backblast again or even sucker punch and then it would be useful.
  10. The reason why there are not a lot of dps scoundrels/ops is because a lot of people still have a preconceived notion that their dps still sucks from pre 1.7. The facts now are that both the middle tree (scrapper) and the right tree (Dirty Fighting) (sorry do not know the ops equivalents) are both well within the range of great dps. On my Scrapper I parse around 2550 on the dummy with blue augments and full 69's (most of them are the crappy high endurance ones) with a couple 72's and an elite wh and a conqueror power relic. Keep in mind that parses on the dummy are almost worthless since that was without an armor debuff and in an ops fight bosses move around. All that I am trying to say is that ops/scoundrels can dps now as long as the player knows the spec well enough.
  11. Speak for yourself I play a scrapper scoundrel and I still pull my own weight in pvp. We are not smashers but I know how to contribute to my team in more ways than just derp smashing.
  12. Hybrid is def. the lowest of the 3 common dps specs for sage/sorc. I parse the highest with full balance but prefer using full TK as I can burst on demand and also get adds down faster.
  13. I dps on my sage and I pull the most dps out of all our ranged dps. Also pretty close to our top sent during ops. The only negative thing about sage/sorc dps is that we do not have an armor debuf BUT if you already have a guardian, commando (dps), or gunslinger in your ops then you don't have to worry about that because you only need one and they don't stack on top of each other.
  14. Main stat, Main stat, Main stat. Since you should not be messing around with crit from the crit stat, you should stack as much main stat as possible so you get crit from your main stat. With +3000 main stat on my scoundrel and no crit from the crit stat, I have around 22% crit which is plenty post 2.0. The crit stat has a horrible DR curve and is just not worth stacking over power. Remember that the only stat that competes with power is crit so when in doubt go power instead of crit (except on augmenting then go main stat).
  15. So a rumor is circulating around my server that scrappers could possibly get a dps boost if instead of having X amount of power/surge enhancements/earpiece/implants, you replace them with X amount of power/alacrity enhancements/earpiece/implants. Their reasoning behind this allegation is that it would reduce the gcd to the point that you could spam sucker punches and blaster whips more frequently. Now I am very much aware that backblast/shootfirst grants us 6% (sorry if that is off) alacrity and pugnacity increases that even more. That leaves me to ask you, would getting even more alacrity be somewhat feasible since crit is so low now and we would get a constant benefit from a lower gcd rather than getting a lucky higher crit hit from surge?
