  1. "Founder" huh? More like "Bioware's *****". You ain't getting me to come back for a lousy title in an already lousy game.
  2. A fool? Really? Paying money for this inferior product is the foolish path. Bioware doesn't owe us anything, and they aren't getting a dime more of my money unless I see some serious rebuilds and changes in this game. If Bioware was smart, they'd be VERY open and communicative about the issue. But the fact that the issue even exists in the first place is indicative of fundamental failures at the core of the team to care about this game's gameplay.
  3. Bioware is well aware of the bug but doesn't seem to care. Why else would they outright lie to us that this bug was fixed with the 1.0.1 patch? Bioware also just closed a 5 page thread of people pretty much begging for a quicker fix. The only thing Bioware did come 1.0.1 is clear out the broken nodes. The only thing 1.0.1 did was make it even more obvious how many nodes bug out over time (the bugged out ones don't have the shiny). The fact that this bug still exists a month into release (it was first reported back in beta) is a disgrace. If it's that hard to add "node despawns if gathered but not looted after 1 minute", then I have to worry about the current state of the game and Bioware's capabilities of continued improvements. If nodes are gathered, but not looted, they do not despawn, and over time you end up with a majority of nodes stuck in this locked state. It's blindingly obvious that this problem is not fixed. Why would Bioware lie to us like that then?
  4. No, it hasn't been fixed. The bug is that these nodes stay around forever if they haven't been looted. All the new visuals do is help you find ones you can use, and make it that much more obvious that you've found one that's stuck.
  5. ... you really think we're just trying to make sure Bioware knows of the issue? You really think that just waiting for the "fix" is what we should do? Have you not read anything of what's actually happened? Here's what's going on. BIOWARE LIED TO US. TO OUR FACES. http://www.swtor.com/patchnotes/1.0.1/12272011 We're calling Bioware out on this bull ****. They lied to us pure and simple. They did NOT fix the gathering nodes, they cleaned up the bug but left the problem intact. The fact that it's taken this long to implement a "despawn after 1 minute after being harvested" fix tells me a ton about the dev team, the code, and the politics behind SWTOR, and none of it is good. From nerfing Slicing so quickly, to lying about fixing a very annoying bug, Bioware is going to be this game's demise. We have been shown now that we cannot trust patch notes to tell us the truth, so we yell, and hope that the game eventually changes, or we quit.
  6. Bioware didn't fix a damn thing in that patch. All they did was run through the database and clear out the broken nodes. They didn't fix the actual problem, which is that nodes that are gathered from but not looted DON'T DESPAWN! How freakin hard is that to solve? Make them despawn in a minute at MOST. Incredible. There are only two reasons I can think that Bioware would tell us something was fixed when it's now bloody obvious to everyone that it was not fixed: 1) There's some really stupid politics being played behind the scenes and someone wanted the "Quick win", and ignored the people who were trying to fix the *actual* problem. 2) The dev team has built something so disgustingly complicated, obtuse, and otherwise impossible to maintain that they still don't actually have the fix in place yet because the code is in such an awful state that every little tweak they make is breaking other parts of the game. And no, #2 is not "normal software development" in the same ways Galloping Gertie was not "normal bridge engineering" but unfortunately this incompetence is quite common in game dev, for too many reasons I won't get into here. Given how utterly broken and bad the game's UI is, I would not at all be surprised if the answer is #2. Thanks for lying to us Bioware, this game is off to a great start...
