Yes, neither Inheritance, nor birthright gear are modable. they are slightly better than purple modded gear for the level that they are at, and legacy bound so you can give then to your lowbies, although they are still restricted by class. There are also orange modable sets you can buy from those vendors that are legacy bound and can be used to transfer mods from one character to another through your legacy, which is a good way to transfer bound armors, mods, and enhancements to new 50's, (or 55's as it were).

So your idea is that when you hit the new lvl 55 cap, you should be handed a top end set of gear ? I'm not following your logic on this at all. What would be the point of dailies, FP's ,or Ops then? No one would bother running these if no one in any group benefited from them. There would be no reason to create new content if none of the recently added content was being run. I don't care how people get gear, but the expectation that you should be handed a full set of gear for reaching level cap is silly, to say the least.

Welcome to the idea of supply and demand. So you couldn't make big bucks on the GTN, hang on while I call the whaaaambulance. If this statement was true there wouldn't have been full Ops groups camping those pylons. While I didn't level in this fashion (although I got a TON of mats cleaning up after these groups), I did see loads of grouping. Hell, I'll even give these people a small amount of applause for sitting in the same spot for hours, I don't think I have the kind of fortitude it takes to grind in one spot for 10 + hours.

If that were true, my black hole helm on my inquisitor would show black, instead of yellow, when matched with the spymaster chest piece( which is mostly black). I don't mind the match to chest piece option, but there are a couple different colors in a lot of chest pieces. I'd like to see the option of picking which color in the chest piece you want your piece of gear to match to at the minimum. I'd also opt for a chest piece dye set as well.

This isn't the first time The Harbinger server has went down, for hours,while every other server is up and running just fine. If you can't keep the server up, at least offer server transfers.
