Deffintaly worth a try. I Also have a Shadow, Tank Specced as well. Fun class too has alot of great utility. You haven't really said if you want to Tank or Dps, but It sounds more DPS. I would say stick with your shadow if thats what your wanting.

My roommate and I do a 2 man group (I tank with a Vanguard) he uses a Gunslinger, Here's the link to the build He's using. Rixon's Gunslinger It's a Beast. we haven't went down yet and we've done all the 2 man heroics and been in some sticky situations, out of all the Smugglers I've grouped with the DF tree built ones seem like the most versatile, they do great damage against all types of enemies.

Would this build not be Viable for Soloing or 2 man groups without a healer?

Hey SWTOR Forum elites, I have a question as I am not a Mathematician or in the MMO world a "Theorycrafter" but, I've been messing around with a build Calc, and this is what I've Came up with for a Shadow Tank, that can make life a little easier for our healer friends, and maybe with a DPS companion solo pretty well, I'll keep thread updated if people are curious.
