I understand where you are coming from what i suggest is play as many missions and pvp games as you can to level to 50 or higher that way you can rush though the story. some of the main game stories are not for everyone but the expectations do have some great stories that i do recommend working towards to try and play

Sadly swtor is not canon anymore. Thankfully Disney allows for the game to run because it is great with a lot of amazing stories.

So just a fun little what is your favorite race to play and on which faction? Give some reasoning for this. I will start off my favorite race to play is Twi'lek on republic. I love the Twi'lek race they look great and honestly have some amazing characters in star wars lore in both canon and legends.
