  1. So basically Project and Smash are the only two still left for both advanced classes and one spec doesn't even keep project.
  2. Ah, I wasn't counting things where they get replaced but some have it some don't. But that's good to track it as well. I feel Project is in a "you *can* have, but some specs lose. I haven't played Trooper or Bounty Hunter in a while. So thanks. Is Sticky actually gone? Or just they don't use it? Like Operatives rarely used Orbital Strike anyways, but they had it. Do Vanguards *have* sticky, but don't use? Or lost it? Same with the Flamethrower.
  3. To be fair that's basically in line with half the classes at this point. Operatives don't have Orbital Strike Assassins don't have Force Lightning Gunslingers don't have Dirty Kick (albeit they CAN have Below the Belt which is close if they pick it) Mercenaries don't have Flame Thrower (if I recall? Pretty sure its Powertech only?) Project is available to both Sage and Shadow Smash is available to both Sentinel and Guardian Sticky Grenade is available to both Vanguard and Commando Choke is currently available to both, but as you mentioned it won't be. So at presents its 4/4 split. This just makes it a 5/3. At this rate maybe Shadow will lose Project
  4. I'll preface this by saying I'm not a huge fan of the changes myself. I played an Operative for the longest time. Hell, for one period of time I was top DPS on my server on our parse leaderboards and 2nd for the class on the world leaderboards. Obviously parsing isn't everything, I'm saying that more to point out I've played for a while at all levels from casual play (current) to hard core progression raiding racing for world firsts, to leveling to PVP. I enjoyed having countless abilities and enjoyed being on top raiding teams as a DPS operative back when everyone thought Operatives sucked before realizing they were just very difficult when a few players dropped top parses. So while *I* prefer the more abilities, more choices, and definitely understand the "if too complex, just take it off your bar and don't use it" stance, I will say that I recently came back because a few friends decided to try the game out and return. And while I dread the changes, I have heard him say multiple times in voice chat that he is excited for the changes. He personally has noted "I've already got a few hotbars full and I'm only in my 20s and 30s, I can't wait for a condense." So, while I dislike the changes, I've seen players like the OP who are excited for them. And we can say "just take abilities off the bar you can clear with anything", but the truth is playing "suboptimaly" really tends to go against what most gamers, especially MMO players like to do. For whatever reason, most gamers (myself included) just don't like the idea of not using an ability or playing suboptimally if we have a choice. In short, I dislike the changes, but I'll never say it won't appeal to others. The topic shouldn't be "nobody wants this" but more "do more people want this and are going to play it than people that hate it and might leave"? Which we can all take our guesses, but nobody knows the numbers really. (Of course we can look at past MMOs and point out things they did which is fair, but still is a guess.) I suspect that most of us will hate the changes, but will stick around because we are already hooked. We'll grumble, we'll get used to it, we'll keep going, and the MMO expansion cycle will continue. Hell, as an Operative I remember when we had Orbital strike. When we could drop in cover. When we could throw out snipe (rarely used except in PVP if trying to soften up a sentinel/marader but still useful). When our burst included hidden strike, backstab, drop into cover and explosive probe, shiv, laceration, combat stealth, hidden strike to just nuke a poor sucker. We've lost abilities before. We've had weird changes in expansions before. I dislike it, but I can see why they do it.
  5. To be fair its been bugged for a while, but the previous bug was less noticible. The anchor to the back was placed slightly too high making it stick up too high. For a minute I thought they fixed the hook...and then logged in <.< Now its so much worse >.>
  6. There have been 10 conquests (This being the 10th), with Aisthesis having won 8 of them so far (with only 9 complete at this moment). I'll also note that the first loss occurred the same week the x12 EXP was released so take a guess what people were doing? Perhaps alts for raids? Its amusing how smug you can feel about one or two losses and how easily you forget the other eight. If you seriously think Aisthesis isn't a strong contender in terms of conquests, you're ridiculous. I could be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure Aisthesis still has the highest win ratio for conquests.
  7. Unless your a human sage with a scar Cause the Inquisitor has different scars due to slave marks and lacks the scars
  8. Eh, to each their own. I'd hardly call Voss "dominate" considering how close Veritas kept it. Not to mention crafting really isn't going out the way. As far as I'm away, Aisthesis has just done stuff Pub side (or at least I've never seen them do it Imp side) so we've not really cared about the Republic commanders. We've had to defend ourselves from gankers, but it typically goes well the rare times it happens. I've yet to see anyone trying to kill the same commander so can't say what would happen in that case.
  9. Yeah sure if it weren't for the fact that it required camping your own mobs as opposed to killing enemy ones that help you. You can't get your own factions unless you have an alt guild that cares enough to swap, kill, mail, swap back. And why bother when you can just go kill the opposite side ones. That's great for an RP, but its inefficient. *shrugs* Its also not at all challenging. You respawn right next to the group. Its zerg tactics at that point, you don't even need any skill. You have champions, mobs, and a respawn point. Why would I waste time sitting at a republic commander that could be spent assisting the guild and killing things I KNOW will be there. (fun fact: I can't see Imp Side recruiting for a commander if on pub side). Any good guild going after a commander is in and out in ten minutes. You'll be loading the planet and taking the slow *** taxis and by the time you get there its gone *shrugs* Saying its "war" is all fine and good, but I'm not at war with other guilds going after mats that I can't get anyways. Its not war, its literally just sabatoging something that you can't even benefit from and has no impact on you. I mean, the "I do it for PVP" excuse works. Its a way to have fun (if you know its happening), but "I do it cause its war" just isn't practical. And that's the thing. How does it benefit me to use champions and zerg rush to kill a group? Sure its fun DEFENDING against it (as we just did on Tattooine tonight when a reaaaaalllly terrible guild tried to interrupt our named commander killing), but attacking? you gotta either be lucky or sit around doing nothing. If I want to PVP I'll go into a warzone, not camp a mob for hours hoping someone shows up. Especially when its not even a challenge to defend it unless your the guild that attacked (sadly can't call out or forum violation).
  10. I created a thread about this as well. Same on The Ebon Hawk so that confirms its NOT just our server. On a side note, what about named commanders? If we see one on our planet, we're screenshotting and asking for our framework.
  11. Well I personally was enjoying my mount. As for a group, we hope back and forth to kill Imperial Commander's. Though as far as I'm aware we weren't ever interfering with any groups working on commanders since little reason to sabotage other guilds trying to improve their ship. (Again, as far as I know)
  12. So, its been brought to my attention that on my server (The Ebon Hawk) that all the ownership of all planets was reset with 2.9c. For those who won Alderaan, Makeb, or Voss do you guys still control the planets? Or does it say no guild controls the sector? I've filled a bug report for the Ebon Hawk, but was curious if others are having this issue.
  13. Just checked. Patch 2.9c broke conquests. All planets are no longer under anybody's control.
  14. We still control it. Sometimes you have to take a step or two to get it to recognize it. That, or, its a bug. I'll check in a bit.
  15. So, I was working on my Coruscant Stronghold and rather than just do the usual "garage", I thought I'd make my garage a ballroom. It has a wide-open area, it has a little stage (given stage is at entrance, but still), but then it hit me. I have NO idea what to do to make it look like a "ballroom" as opposed to an empty room. What types of decorations would you expect to see? What types of lights? Etc etc. Clearly most the floor needs to be open space for dancing and such, but what else? I'm debating giving up on the idea and just using a massive library instead, but I was hoping to see if others had ideas for decorations for me to look in to.
