  1. Just to verify one suggestion: I installed Hotspot Shield VPN. I can now launch and log into the game. TunnelBear is no longer free. This one is, but they do the "Oh, let's sign you up for a 7-day free trial of our premium service and let's just take your credit card info in case you forget to cancel" thing. For me? Being able to play is worth the price of reminding myself to cancel once this issue is resolved.
  2. Almost six years now. I mean, why would they fix it now anyway? It wouldn't be fair to six years of agents having this mission bugged if all the new agents could complete it, would it now?
  3. Yup, October of 2017 and the bug for the light side option is still here. My solution: I have the Priority Transport: Personal Starship legacy ability and used it to get off the Supreme Chancellor's ship. I was able to travel Darth Tormen's ship from there with no problem.
  4. Still need it? How about splitting the difference at 9 mil? Mail Aecie (imp) or Naqoy (pub) and we can work something out. Those are the toons I spend the most time on these days. Actually, the price has dropped on the GTN -- how about 5.7 mil? 5% off the current low. Such a deal!
  5. Given all the permutations of vehicle types and pet types from the Cartel Market, as well as other sources, even if you have a reasonable collection of either there really aren't enough quickbars for a fair selection of each without removing actual skills. Since SWTOR already has a mechanism for rotating through quickbars -- something that once was helpful when the maximum number of quickbars displayable was only four -- but now is quite pointless given how it functions at the present, maybe you should switch that over to a rotation through quickbars beyond the standard ones now that could only hold mount and pet summonses. Or, here's a much better idea: Create new general skills that, when activated, will choose randomly from your "stables" a vehicle or a pet that you own/have unlocked. For pets, it might actually be good to have two similar summons abilities: one that selects randomly from "land" pets that crawl or roll or move across the ground, and a second for one that randomly selects an "air" pet that flies along at your side. I say this because you can actually have one of each type of pet out at the same time, so there are genuinely two generic types of pets. For mounts and vehicles, it might be reasonable to have just one summons skill to cover them both. However, since some people like to ride their animal mounts and others prefer their mechanical vehicles over "living" creatures, having both summon random mount and a summon random vehicle skills would be a very nice gesture toward the player base.
  6. I'd suggest you don't allow spammers and credit sellers into your guild. Not everyone has a guild website either -- why start a website to send mail to guildies when MUDs 25 years ago had that sort of functionality IN GAME? As for voice chat ... am I supposed to stay online until all of our 35 or so active members get into voice chat so I can give a 3 sentence message to them? MOTD? 128 character limit. Even the smallest sized string data types in most database languages are twice as big. Maybe you're relatively new to MMOs, if your expectations of what we should be able to do IN GAME to communicate with friends and guild mates are that BioWare can ignore it and people should just alt-tab out of game, launch another program or two, and see if anyone else IN GAME is trying to send a relatively simple message to you OUT OF GAME. This is not rocket science.
  7. Here we are, 20 months after launch, and we still do not have a mail system that allows for multiple recipients. That allows for guild mail. That includes some sort of archiving. Star Wars Galaxies had all this at launch about 10 years ago. Never mind that -- when I had a Bitnet mail account through my university back in 1987, Pine gave us tons more functionality than SWTOR's mail system does. Even considering the bandwith issues of using 9600 baud modems, we still had no real limit to the number of characters we could include in our messages. Why can't you, BioWare, figure out how to allow us more than what? is it 64? 100 maybe? I have no idea, because when I run up against it I certainly do not have the patience to count it out. In game right now, we have a mail system that could not hold it's weight against systems using 300 baud acoustic modems and teletypes as your "terminal" back in the late 1970's. If there was a reality show on MMOs. BioWare would probably get sent home during episode 1 for failing so miserably in this.
  8. Well, I wrote something, then read a few more posts and wanted to delete what I wrote, but after a third thought I'm bringing it back. Why choose Black Market Mods? If the ideal amount of alacrity is 0, then the 10% increase from Burst Volley is still going to give you 0. A boost of 2% of 0 is not going to make things any better. I can see the need to get to Mortal Wound, but dropping 2 points in Holdout Defense at least gives you something marginally useful. And smacking people upside the head is almost as amusing as kicking people in the, um, you know.... Wait, my bad, multiplying instead of adding .. but the question remains: will that 2% actually do anything for you?
  9. After reading all of this, I can't believe anyone expected anything new for this event. Didn't any of you watch the video for this? "The Gree Event returns May 21st" BioWare couldn't even update a few seconds of video to make it seem new.
  10. After the debacle a month or so ago with the thief on Prophecy of the Five defrauding and stealing from guilds and the absolute lack of action on the part of BioWare's Customer Service, we now have a group of people having a contest to see who can steal the most from guilds and their banks. Because of your pathetic, flaccid response to the first thief, we now have a number of players who see nothing wrong with stealing from others in-game. GG BioWare
  11. Republic story on Makeb, Frinn Mesa. When Vice Commandant Grevin says:
  12. For Republic Balmorra: In Gorinth Canyon, overlooking Crater Base, near the orange vehicle broken down along the main path (450, 1850). Look to the southeast out over the crater to the large mountain on the far side. There are two platforms on the side of that mountain. The droid is centered on the upper platform.
  13. There are a lot of things that aren't stacking when you buy or receive more than one of them. Reputation trophies, at least the GSI ones. Fleet passes from the Security Key vendor. Something got broken with their item stacking code -- can't imagine WHY they were touching it in the first place -- so try stacking them manually.
  14. According to BioWare: "Level 55 Underworld Gear can now be crafted and traded on the Galactic Trade Network! Requiring expensive and rare components, Underworld Gear will be challenging to craft but well worth the investment." There is nothing in this game that is challenging to craft. "Crew Skills" do no require any skill. Requiring "rare components" where rare means "seldom seen" more than it means "difficult to get" also does not add to any sort of "challenge" BW claims there is. ... and changing the RE Chance of Tier 1 Prefix items from 10% to 20% for schematics requiring a crafting skill rating above 400 does not constitute an expansion, upgrade, revamp or revision of a crafting system mired by mindless RNG.
