  1. She's 65, so i guess you only get one at 70? That doesn't make sense. I'm super jelly lol, the whole reason I do heroics is for the boxes. I have 20+ of each doing the same four heroics everyday for the past 3-4 weeks... coulda had double if I didn't level...
  2. As you all know, you get a supply crate as a mission reward when you complete a heroic mission. Curiously enough, I only get one crate for each mission and my wife gets two. I am subbed, she is not. We both get the same amount of credits, she gets slightly less CP, but two crates... What gives?
  3. So I got my Trooper Vanguard up and looking to do some solo end/late game content including some story Ops and I'm looking for a decent companion to power level influence to 50. So I ran a couple solo story ops on my DPS commando which isn't all that great with a mix of 230 purple/blue gear and a rank 10 Blizz for healing. I was almost unable to finish it and only after dying 15 times and learning the tricks to avoid certain scenarios, did I pass it. Regardless, I'm looking for a bit of an easier time doing them, among other "harder" solo content, so I'm pulling out the tank and trying to find a suitable companion to play a more supportive role. Treek has been in my collections for a long time but I've never really used her extensively enough to determine how good or bad she is in certain situations. However, everywhere I look mentions how great Treek is. Unfortunately, most of those posts are a bit closer to when she was introduced. The biggest problem I've noticed with her is the rather long cooldowns of her heals. Does anyone have some experience they would care to share on Treeks effectiveness (max influence), and or the effectiveness of other companions, SPECIFICALLY TROOPER companions. If I'm not using Treek, I will most likely be sticking to a story companion. Thanks in advanced.
  4. Precisely this. So in other words, they're just around for, if you want it, get it, but you don't need it?
  5. +1 I have two, but need many many more, haven't gotten one for a very long time.
  6. Command tokens seem to be rather useless after a certain point, and unless I'm missing some super awesome mega command token vendor where you can purchase other items aside from gear that don't require you to PvP, I 'd like to see them used for something else. One thing in particular could be legendary gifts, 5 tokens a pop or so. Legendary gifts are the second most useless things in the game given how expensive they are. 250k in the vendor, less than 100k from the GTN, or potentially free from Heroics. Even still, rank 5 artifact quality gifts are far more efficient... Just a thought. ... Better yet, just bring back the old system with the data crystals or commendations.
  7. Been away for a bit, but now that I'm back... SO I had a character token, made a lvl65 to grind out some crew skills and heroics, and I look at the list of companions, and.. WTH! Is there some game mode I'm missing that utilizes companions on a grand scale? What's the point in having 50 companions? You can only send out 8 on crew skills, you can only summon 1 at a time, they don't come with you into uber difficult solo story flashpoints... or uprisings... or...or whatever they're called now. Is it just for preference? I mean, there doesn't seem to be a point to "getting them all", they all utilize the same skills, they all have the exact same functions, they just look different. Not to mention, for a single companion the cost of increasing influence to make a companion "combat worthy", is far too expensive let alone 20+, or semi- cheap but VERY time consuming. Will someone please, kindly enlighten me as to the point of grinding for all the companions and guide me in the right direction of proper use of these companions?
  8. You just said the exact opposite of what I asked. I'm no noob, the reason I want to "restart a legacy" is because I have it nearly maxed out on every PvE server there is. I know which servers are popular, and I don't really care about population, the emptier, the better. Regardless, my question has been answered, thread can be closed.
  9. Okay, thanks, good to know. just made a character on a PvP server and it warns me that I'm going to be killed by other players ALL THE TIME, lol literally what it tells me.
  10. So I'm looking to start a new legacy, preferably on a PvP server. I've been away for a while, and I noticed on my PvE server we now have an option to switch to a PvP instance, which I am assuming opens us up to open world PvP. Is there an option on PvP servers to be in a PvE instance? Starting a new legacy, I would of course do the story and all content from beginning to end, but I don't want to end up getting ganked on my adventures, I want to play in peace, the number one thing keeping me on PvE servers. However, I would like to also have the option to switch to open world PvP later on... Anyone got good accurate info on this? P.S. I don't need your suggestions on which server to go to or where to stay, I just want answers to questions so I can best determine what is best for me, thanks
  11. Excellent, thank you. So run a bunch of operations and "level up" command rank for a "chance". Well, at least I'm not forced into PvP, something every game seems to be focusing on of late. I understand the hatred of grinding, I don't mind it too much so long as I'm not spending a year getting a single decent set of gear and finally getting it just before the next "expansion" releases, forcing me to do it all over again *cough* WoW *cough* I've also noticed a handful of quite ridiculous bugs, you might be right on the "worst patch in SWTOR histroy", makes me feel like I'm playing at release again.
  12. I've been away for a good long while and just came back. Upon leveling my character to 70, I started looking at end game gear and how to get it. From what I understand, the only way to get "end game gear" is to do PvP or get some type of boxes, which I don't know how/where to get. From the numbers I saw, I'm not willing to do PvP, especially not THAT much PvP, not to mention the fact I don't like PvP, especially in this game. I see they've unfortunately done away with commendation tokens so it seems I can't even start off with a decent affordable artifact set. How do I get geared up now without PvP?
  13. Well thanks for all the responses, but I'm out. I simply can't bring myself to suffer through the combat to get to the story, something I've been wanting to do since beta, but just simply never done it. I started to get bored around Alderaan, and then 2.5 solo FP's through, I just can't bear to see that same damn ability cast again, so sick of pressing 7 & 8 for AoE attacks that pretty much one shot "silver" and below, sure I could do single target, but that just doubles the time spent doing it. Good luck all, have fun.
  14. So for the first time ever, I decided to do every 'story mode" mission mostly due to Dark vs Light and I have to say, I am not impressed at all. In fact, i am down right miserable, literally... I've lost the will to play this at all. So I'm doing the Shadow of Revan part and am now on my THIRD solo flashpoint. I have no desire in fighting mob after mob after mob just for some story. Yeah sure, everyone has a different viewpoint on what they like and find fun, but this isn't fun for me, yet if I want DvL rewards, I HAVE TO play Shadow of Revan. Some one please tell me it gets better than mindless, boring flashpoint after flashpoint, wouldn't be so bad if each one didn't take upwards of an hour, but I'm getting no rewards, no gear, few credits and... you guessed it, useless Data Crystals, yeah, those green quality modifications are really helping me out, thanks.
