  1. I’d change my Nautolan’s race the day they added hood toggles and made it hide the hoods attached to chest pieces too. While we’re wishing for stuff, I’d like to be able to change my Nautolan’s eyepatch and tentacle leather bands colors. Just a simple switch from brown to black to go with some armors.
  2. It's not just in World PvP. People are using it on bridges and stuff when they get knocked off so that they magically appear in a safe spot.
  3. The difference is that the Romances in Mass Effect and Dragon Age were long and culminated into content that affects the overall narrative. In The Old Republic the romances are just kinda there and don't really have much, if any influence on the narratives. They said it's coming and it will come. If you build up the shallow romances in this game you're probably going to be disappointed when you finally get the finished product.
  4. To the Bioware team: You guys are shooting yourselves in the foot with all of this 1.2 is going to make everything better shtick. It's only the 2nd Q&A and it's all ready old. I know that no one wants to commit to a time frame or anything like that but your answers have to be more substantial and you've got to stop ignoring some of the broken aspects of the game that affect everyone on a daily basis.
  5. Just curious as to how well you guys and gals think this machine will run The Old Republic: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883229300
  6. Any word on how The Old Republic will run on this system? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883155318 or this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883229300
  7. Roots should not ignore Resolve at all. It's foolish that it does and is the main reason why there are always 2-4 melee classes on both sides of a Warzone while the other 12-14 spots are all ranged. Not mention giving ranged classes knockbacks that also root is insane. That's 2 CCs in one move that are not affected by Resolve AND they have very short cooldowns. What dev thought this was balanced? I'm sure it was the awesome guy that plays a Sorcerer and thinks they are balanced and fine. It's a flawed system that favors ranged classes by a disgustingly large margin. Resolve is a poor system and it needs to be changed.
  8. You seriously can't be as thick headed as you come off in this post. No one is that dense. Why is it so hard to understand that he's trying to get the point across that the skill isn't doing as much damage as the tooltip says and furthermore is doing less damage than Slash? I haven't paid that much attention to Merciless Slash's damage in comparison to Slash's damage so I can't weigh in on whether or not the skill is bugged. It's obvious that something is not quite right, if what you say is true, and it has nothing to do with gear. These forums are horrific. The community is full of small minded angry fools who are so busy pretending to know everything about everything that they can't take the time to learn or comprehend what other people are communicating. It's disgraceful and it diminishes us all. Stop acting like complete and total d-bags and show a modicum of respect to your fellow human beings. Just because you can hide behind the anonymity of the internet doesn't mean you should.
  9. I don't usually do the whole "quoted for truth" thing, but this post has mad truthiness goin' on. Between the quitters, the exploiters, and the hackers Warzone PvP has become painful and not much fun.
  10. I started playing table top D&D back in 1984. I've either ran a campaign or played in one since then. I've played with the same group of guys for a good long time but I've also played with new groups and sat in on friend of a friend type campaigns. In all of this time I haven't seen a single person create a character and obsess over stats to "min/max"... EVER. People play for the enjoyment of the game not to try to diminish the game by exploiting mechanics. A good DM won't let that happen and a good MMORPG developer won't either. So tired of seeing people trying to act like table top games are all about min/maxing. It's simply not true.
  11. It's shameful. You have "mirror" classes that are not really mirrors, and more often than not the animation differences are in favor of the Empire faction. How many different animations root Republic players, but does not root Empire players when they use it? Why is there a delay for Project's damage but not Shock's? Why does the Commando version of Death From Above have a delay unlike Death From Above? Consulars just got Unity fixed in the last patch, meaning Inquisitors have had an easier time in solo clutch PvE situations since the game's release. Guardian's snare just got equalized with the Juggernaut snare the patch before last. How long will the Republic players have to endure the animation disparities in PvP before they are even addressed, let alone adjusted to be the same. It's been long enough. It's not like these issues were not brought up in beta multiple times. The Project/Shock differences have been a bone of contention for longer than the game has been officially released. So why hasn't anyone acknowledged this other than the one guy who posted in the dev tracker that factional animations would be looked at? How long ago was that? This is something that affects every single player that participates in PvP.
  12. I've waiting for the end of the week to see which questions the dev team decided to answer and which ones they completely avoided. Weren't we supposed to get a Friday update type list of the questions and answers from the thread that was posted earlier in the week?
  13. They obviously care about the success of the game. That shouldn't be up for debate. I just think that they really don't take player feedback very seriously, which doesn't really make much sense to me.
  14. It's kind of the trend that was started in beta. You do realize that there are things in the game today that beta testers from WAY back have been giving negative feedback about after every new build in beta, right? I'm not saying that Bioware is wrong or right in how they are handling and have handled feedback in the past, but for them to post vids and interviews where a member of their team says with a straight face that they listen to feedback is kind of insulting. Or you could look at it like, yeah they listen to feedback but just don't do anythng about it. I'm really curious to see which questions they pick and choose to answer for this week's Friday update.
  15. I just got out of a match where every time someone on our team got the Huttball it would magically reset. "Neutral Ball" I experienced it first hand when I killed their ball carrier and had the ball, started running with it, then bam, "Neutral Ball". Please do something abot this and if anyone else has experienced this please post here. I don't have a capture card so I can't document this. What are supposed to do when this happens? Open a ticket? The PvP brackets are one-sided as it is in the Empire's favor without some jack holes using hacks or whatever. I really hope that the guys from Bioware bans people who do this kind of stuff with extreme prejudice. Completely uncalled for.
