  1. Best MMO? How about the most boring. This is a grind fest with voiceovers. The quests are as dull as they get as are the instances. Go from A to B and kill 20 mobs on the way. At least with WoW and other MMOs there was a sense of satisfaction, a sense of accomplishment, and so much more satisfaction in the gameplay itself. If the gameplay doesn't cut it and isn't satisfying, that is the death of any game, no matter how everything else is. A lot of players are unsatisfied with the gameplay because it's so very linear. As much as I love SW and hoped this would be stellar, if changes aren't made I doubt this will be around long.
  2. Why do I have the feeling this game is going south very quickly.
  3. ...those ridiculous green skies? If that got overlooked that pretty much sums up the direction of SWTOR.
  4. Hardly a troll. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, good or bad.
  5. I enjoyed 2 hours of RIFT the other night far more than the entire SWTOR grind up to 40. That says a lot about fun factor or lack thereof.
  6. I don't believe those claims. No server waits, very few people on any of the planets compared to launch, hard to get a group for any Flashpoint over 30+. The population is definitely in decline and anyone who is playing can see it. Smells like BS.
  7. A lot of players are in the same boat as the OP. I won't be renewing, no point. I get more satisfaction out of watching a good movie or surfing the internet.
  8. Golden rule is business is listen to your customers and so many businesses don't. MMOs are no different.
  9. I would not be entirely surprised if the population drops off quickly and doesn't return. The game is rather boring and very linear. Just about zero wow factor. I was hoping for much more, but unfortunately the gameplay itself is simply not satisfying. In 6 months I think this mmo will be on its way out.
  10. Same boat as you, but what killed it for me is the extremely linear gameplay. A to B and kill 20 mobs in between with no exploration, no surprise, and little to nothing of interest. This is hands down one of, if not the, most boring MMO I have played.
  11. Doesn't look like it. No server queues, hardly any players in zones....looks like they are leaving quickly.
  12. Untrue. This is a very linear approach. Go from A to B and kill 20 mobs in between. No though, no intelligence, just shear button mashing. Even the Flashpoints are extremely linear....follow the dotted line. When Bioware was making games like Baldur's Gate they had story, exploration and so much more, but since they partnered with EA it's gone south. No longer fun, just developed to make cash and please stockholders. Sold out.
  13. " the game feels so sterile" Yup, that pretty much sums it up. I'm bored out of my skull at level 40. Small zones, way too much instancing, and almost no players. The vast, open world of SWG, WoW and other MMOs where you could explore was fantastic. This linear questing is about as boring as it gets. Unfortunately, I predict this won't last long.
  14. The game would be great if it wasn't..........so boring. They really need to bring some wow factor to it by ditching these linear quests and mediocre storyline. Bring in some new writers and mix it up a little....think outside the box. A to B to C and kill 5 mobs in between each is not cool anymore, it's downright dull.
  15. For an MMO, it sure feels like an MSO - massive singleplayer on-line. Nevertheless, I can live with the UI, the bugs, the this and that, but at the end of the day it feels like there is no community and the quests and storyline are so very linear. I've tried to give it a go and put in more than my share of hours, but with little to no wow factor and no sense of adventure I find myself sitting in front of the PC asking the question. Kill more mobs or go do something else? I didn't come into this game expecting much and thankfully so. Frankly, this is probably one of the most boring games I have yet to play and I truly hope they can turn it around since Star Wars is epic, but SWTOR as of yet isn't. I suppose we'll see...
