I didnt assume. Not when you have to give consent for pvp. Flagging system is there for a reason. Who or what deems things to be "appropriate" for a pve server? Again, if you dont want to pvp then you don't flag yourself. It's that simple. Bioware can't do anything to these people. If your on a pvp server...then you pvp. If you join a pvp server then you should already know that this will happen. You don't have to like it, thats what you signed up for. Besides the fact, this goes in a different direction. I didn't twist these people's arms to turn their flag on. They gave me consent by flagging to attack them. I guess they didnt like that i was killing the imperial npcs in their base lol. I agree to a degree. If this was a pvp server and i did this for hours not giving them a chance to do anything, then yes. This is pve server though. If they didnt want to pvp then they should not have put on their pvp flag. We weren't waiting for them to respawn and attack them immediately. They had plenty of time and opportunities to leave the area, unflag, then return. This is why it's complicated and i wanted opinions. Its not a pvp server where you have no choice but to attack or be attacked, thats why they invented pve servers with the flagging option. I shouldn't have to think its moral or not. They flagged because they wanted to pvp.

Just wanted some outside opinions. I felt i did nothing wrong but if you guys can remember, there was a big problem with this before. A few guys did this same exact thing on a pvp server. Thats right, a PVP SERVER. The exact same thing happend, and they got reported. A CSR actually told those people if they were to do it again, they were going to be banned or some other type of consequence. This was posted on the forums with screenshots and all. A CSR on the forums after seeing the screenshots and proof that this happened, made sure the right action was taken. The CSR that contacted those guys most likely got a talking to or sometihng lol. This kind of action was taken on a pvp server, i wondering what will happen since i'm on a pve server. Also, i never really get whispers or tells like that. Most of the time I only que for warzones but im really bored of the warzones and need world pvp. I didnt stop doing it either. We kept going back and still running in the base. If i could switch to a pvp server i would, but until paid transfers come im stuck waiting on someone to flag.

So a friend and I on the shadowlands(pve server) decided to raid the imp base on Ilum together. Ive noticed almost everyday since the merge that people are flagging more often. Hes a shadow so he went stealth pasted the turrets in the base and I leaped to him(I'm a guardian). From there we killed trash mobs in the base trying to get some attention and sure enough it did. Several imps 1 by 1 were flagging themselves. We survived quite a long time but eventually 20 imps(literally) all flagged at once and jumped us. So we headed back and i knew that after so many people flagged that some of them had to be running to do their heroic(a 2 minute speeder right from their base.) Sure enough, 4 were there on the hill attacking some mobs, still flagged. We killed them then started to head back. One of the guys we killed was heading back on his speeder so we jumped him. From there we head back to the imp base and play around some more and got overwhelmed again. After i spawned back to the base, i get a whisper that I'm getting reported for "griefing." I asked the person. "How is it griefing? Care to explain this?" He said i was tricking people into flagging and that's harassment and I'm being reported. I not once attacked the same mob(the flag bug) as he or any of the other imps did. In fact, besides a few little creatures outside their base, its impossible considering the mobs are either reb or imp. Then i told him this and put him on ignore. Then a friend of his chimed in: "you can ignore all you want idiot, your griefing and your going to be banned!." I wont put any names because obviously these guys were confused and I wouldn't want them to be shunned upon for acting like this, but I feel i did nothing wrong. We had a blast and i know the imps did too. TL;DR What are your thoughts on raiding the opposite faction's base on a pve server? If they flag and attack you then attack mobs in a heroic still flagged that's not my fault right? Takes 5 minutes to unflag...

The people who say they aren't viable, either don't know how to play one or have never seen a good one. I play a deep vigilance Guardian(actually the only level 50 I have) and have done quite a few ranked matches and always do very well. Not once have I been denied in a Ranked Group. If you know how to play the class very well, it's very viable. In ranked matches i will admit, i don't normally have top damage when there are vanguard/pyrotechs in the match as well, but I'm never far behind them. Usually only about 10k-30k difference. That's not to say you can't get top damage because I have before even with very good vanguard/pyrotechs, but most of the time they will have the upper hand due to their range. Now I will admit that an equally skilled and geared sentinel/marauder can survive longer than you. I have a rivalry with a friend of mine on the empire. I would say we are pretty equal when it comes to skill and gear, hell, even our damage is pretty damn close. I think personally the damage to armor ratio is about spot on(5% damage to our 5% damage reduction) but its pretty obvious his defensive cool downs get the best of me. Focused Defense just doesn't compare to the force camouflage and undying rage, not to mention they also get saber ward as well. Main thing you should worry about above all else, If you enjoy the class then play it. Comes down to basically whether or not you can play the class to near perfection. I'm sure for pve you could manage to work something out a lot easier. Unfortunately, with the new expertise increase and the ability to rip out armoring from top end gear, it doesn't work so well for the pvp player. Currently, in the new pvp gear, expertise is on every piece(Armoring, Mod, Enhancement, ECT). The problem is, we cannot take out the armoring and put it in the belt/bracer because its not a chest, leg, ect. So pretty much what the guy said above you, unless they change it, us pvper's are going to lose out on stats because of it. Not only are we losing out on stats, but the most important of them all. Expertise.

So i just noticed in 1.2 they didn't make belts and bracers moddable. We cannot move the armoring to them due to them being stuck to a specific piece of gear(chest to chest, legs to legs, ect). How are we suppose mod our bracers and belts with end game stats? We would lose out on not only higher stats but expertise as well(if your a pvper) due to the armoring having expertise on them. Have the devs said anything regarding this lately? I haven't seen anything in the dev tracker.

Well considering the game has hardly been up since 1.2, there's pretty good reason for it. Don't worry I'm sure you'll see plenty of screenshots soon enough. Hell, I thought sorcs were squishy before..I'm a vigilance guardian and I'm taking them out within 5 GCD's AND i'm not even in full BM gear yet. Still missing atleast 4-5 pieces. The damage and mitigation is completely borked.

If you buff, heal, or help a flagged person attack an NPC, you will also be flagged. If you don't like to be flagged and don't like to pvp...make sure whenever your helping/buffing/healing someone else, to check their flagged/unflagged status. You can remove the flag by right clicking your characters portrait. It only takes a few minutes. Personally me I always run flagged everywhere I go. I also warn anyone that heals/buffs/ or groups with me that they may get flagged, just incase they don't like to pvp.

Just wanted to update you guys, I finally got my chest guard after 2 solid months of searching nearly everyday. I finally found it on the GTN for a measly 11k credits. Thanks everyone for all the help. Also, I messaged the guy and asked him where he got it it from. The only SOLID information he could tell me and he was sure about was that he got it from voss just doing normal story questing. I have gone several times to voss and just farmed random mobs, heroics, silvers, golds and elites but never came close. If your on a server that has low repub numbers or low alt rate, you might have alot of issues finding it(that's what happened to me) but don't give up! Keep searching! Also, ill put a list down at the bottom of confirmed and semi confirmed pieces on where I've found specific pieces of the set. 1.)Gloves - Belsavis. Found them off an eshkaw(sp?) while doing story quests. The area specifically is kind of hard to explain but..im not so sure areas are really effected by the drops anyway. 2.)Boots - Correllia. Found these twice, and at one point had 3 pairs of boots. Found them off a random silver mob in either axial park, or one the similar areas. I'm pretty sure its the area with the foothills and the elite war droid that's 30 feet from a group or story area(hopefully you know what i mean). 3.)Chest guard - Voss. Not 100% sure on specific areas since I didn't find it myself, but again the guy who sold me his told me this is where he got it. 4.)All the rest - GTN. Cant give any solid info on the rest, but on my server seems like all the other pieces are pretty easy to come by. Hope this helps guys! I'll try to get some coordinates if i can find time.

Still looking for the chestpiece. Server - Tarro Blood I've been farming for hours on both corellia and voss. I've also been running treasure hunting lock-box missions religiously. I happend to find the boots again from a silver mob on corellia. Seems to be an abundance of boots and greaves on my server but no chest-piece! It's the last piece I need. Its the most important part and having no luck. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?!

Subbed to the new thread. Pretty ridiculous about catch's story. I'm not taking sides but if what he says is true, then bioware really disappointed me yet again. Honestly, we do need a list of what color crystals are available in game. Even if we don't get a hint, it would save us from wasting our time looking for nothing, and also prevent something like this from happening again.

OK, this thing just jumped like 30 pages within 12 hours or so you guys seem crazy about the womprat fever. I tried to skim through several pages of this as quickly as i could but i didn't see anything brought up about it. Do you guys know about the famished bantha that's laying in the dune sea about to die? I was curious if anyone knew about this for a quest or something? Maybe it's got "womprat fever" and you have to cure it somehow? Just throwing it out there, I remember seeing it but didn't have a quest to do anything about it.

Subbed I have been watching this thread for awhile now, and I too am a Jedi who wants a purple lightaber(sorry, magenta just isn't cutting it) A little off topic, my friends and I when we were teenagers bought replica lightsabers and were trying to choreograph our own fight scene. Anyway, I was suppose to get a green lightsaber but apparently they were sold out of that color and the only other color besides blue that was available was purple. I decided to get it anyway, and ever since then...Purple is THEE color for a lightsaber for me. It grew on me quickly, and green is still runner up, but for some reason IMO in this game, the green looks horrid on a knight. Now, when a consular uses one it looks alot better. Might have something to do with the stances or something to me I dunno. So ya! Hearing alot about white lately, but any more info on purple for republic would be great!
