  1. I saw someone glitch into the door to cap a few days ago. I'm guessing there's a similar trick to disarm. I thought they fixed it a while back, but it appears not.
  2. what he means is you need to dps one of the tanks past the 20% intervals before the 2nd double destruction hits. If you don't you'll have 2 dps taking double damage during the aoe/shield phase, and you'll also have a chance of that spire dropping on top of the boss (usually where the tank is standing) Out dps it or anticipate it and make distance between storm's tank and dps before the spire comes down. You'll need extra heavy heals on the 2 dps with the double destruction buff, but it's possible to make it through.
  3. Are these tanks running hybrid specs or using dps gear? I expect that's possible in t1, but seems less likely in Denova. I can maybe see using hybrid/dps sets if the whole raid has BiS gear, but seems impossible in tank spec and defensive gear. My tank and others I've seen in mostly Rakata with some black hole/campaign are doing about 600-650 on fights where they can stand and hit the whole time. Also, can someone direct me to some posts outlining how to get 1600-1800 dps in an 8 man raid? My Arsenal merc is pretty well optimized, but still need campaign armoring to get more augmented pieces. In T1's I can consistently get 1400 and sometimes 1600 on good fights, however in Denova I'm getting at most 1400 on the tanks, closer to 1200-1300. I'm also getting more dps than our sorcs/ops/snipers/PT or whoever else. We lost our only mara and have no jugg tanks in main raid, so I'm usually the only armor debuff and I'm sure stacking those is crucial. I'd like some pointers on how to get around that if possible and increase my dps (along with the raids) We're 3/4 8 HM and our average dps'r is pulling 900-1100 for reference. I know my merc shouldn't be top on the parse and I'm not sure what we're missing (aside from l2p issues)
  4. You can still skip trash AND the chest bugged out between tanks and mines as well. We did not reset the instance and got there quick enough.
  5. Yeah Diablo 3 WILL have pvp just like ToR WILL have ranked wz's. And I imagine the flame over no pvp in d3 will be just as bad as it is here with no ranked pvp. Either way, if you're unhappy with this game and it's so terrible, well past the point of repair, why troll the forums and complain about stuff you don't even care about? PVP is still fun in this game for most. Balance issues are in every game to ever have pvp. Content is coming (not soon enough but it NEVER does). There are always those that blow through it and gett bored/angry. Have fun or don't and leave. At least be constructive.
  6. Diablo 3 has no PVP at all. Just like any other big game launch there will be a drop in population, then it will even out. Rated WZ's are supposed to be coming before 1.3, and 1.3 is coming before the end of the fiscal quarter (at least that's what i remember reading). I'm sure it sucks to be on a dead server, but re rolling is a temporary solution until merges and transfers are available. I imagine that's high on the priority list for Bioware considering it's a huge amount of the qq seen on the forums. I figure it's also more complicated factoring in legacy to transfers and that's why they aren't available yet. I'm not giving Bioware a pass. They need to speed it up and stop the bleeding. However, it's not the end of the world to go play another game for a while. Come back when you they add whatever it is you want.
  7. The buff stays when u catch urs (as in the health regen). Didn't have a group to test the other thing.

  9. Parsing should be real time and not require emails or file sharing after a fight to review. As I stated while condescending, make a toggle if you don't want to share your logs, you can turn it off. What is so threatening about metrics to grade performance? Especially if it's optional. Again, if you don't want to play with 'elitists' there's a big enough population to find someone else. Considering how polarizing this argument seems to be for some, why would you want to play with the big jerk faces that like that kinda stuff. They're obviously snobs that want to ruin your day.
  10. I'm simply amazed by how many people hate combat logs. I have to assume they've all gotten yelled at for sleeping through a raid, and you've been butt hurt since. Arguing against logs is like saying you don't feel people should have to try to contribute to their team. It's not very hard to see who's sucking it up without logs. Having logs provides tools for those that want to get better. People that don't want to use them generally aren't going to run in the same crowds as those that do. It should be an option. If you want to hide your logs, toggle them off. If a raid requires them, find somewhere else to play. Your play styles aren't suited for each other. Seems pretty straight forward. As the OP said, if you assume logs are going to ruin someone's life you're assuming the worst of people. Every MMO i've played had parsing logs and I've never seen anyone belittled in a pug. I've seen people asked to step up in a progression raid. If the group wiped without a log, the leader would still have to ask people to step up. It's just backing up what people already know with data. We already have stat tracking in warzones. Add scoreboards to raids after each fight. I can see when someone isn't playing their role. If someone wants to partake in a team activity they have an obligation. Parsing makes fights more fun. Gives meaning and challenge to trash. Friendly competition. Sense of growth and accomplishment. And again, if you don't want to use it, don't use it and don't play with those that do. There seems to be enough of you to form your own super group of people against parsing and generally doing good at stuff. Raids are competitive. Just like PVP people need to try to succeed. Story mode will always be there for those that want to hold hands and be casual. TL : DR Group logs are needed.
  11. I didn't see anyone mention, but 8 man is significantly easier than 16. After one hits 40% in 16 (both normal and hard) they start doing the 'my turn your turn' rail shot which is pretty hard to avoid. I guess you can cleanse whoever they target but we've found the best way past that is to burn both to 45, then take jarg down all the way and trade aggro on sorno during his enrage. I believe they still do the rail shot in 8 man but its not nearly as noticeable. It's almost always a one shot on lesser geared folks. It's also a pretty small arena for 16 so its harder to avoid their aoe's and ground plants. It's doable, just not as well balanced 8v16 imo.
  12. I could be mistaken, but I believe he's referring to the highest level pvp gear, warleader*. That is said to be available at 50 with no valor requirement and be better for pvp than battlemaster. It's also supposed to be heavy expertise to avoid being available for high end pve.
  13. solve the southern pylon first on each row. Did this for the last 3 weeks without encountering the bug.
